In many areas, the club shines - its strength and conditioning equipment, instructors, and health programming are unmatched and, most importantly, I've met great people. As good as the club is, and no doubt, great things are happening there, it's really expensive - and the last several months I have constantly been questioning if I should be paying what I do. I mentioned in my first review in July I felt the club was slipping. No question I have, and deserve to have, the highest expectations for this place but that comes from them. They promise us an "athletic country club" experience and charge for it - so I expect them to deliver. Over the last year, this club has been dealing with a serious member trend related to its big ticket item - the men's rejuvenation suite in the locker room, consisting of a hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna, and wet sauna. Quite often, it's a wreck - as are other sections of the locker room. Wet towels and trash crumpled on the floor and in seating areas and in corners around this section of the club. There's sludge on sections of the floor at night after the big rush. Many of the men members of this club are acting like slobs - and Life Time isn't keeping up. I feel like the maintenance crew tries hard, but I've also seen them blow past the suite without even sticking their head in for a status check - as if they have other priorities than one of their biggest competitive advantages when it comes to amenities. I really feel like Life Time without this is mostly a four- or five-star facility - but this issue knocks it down several pegs. It's exhausting.

In August, I had a confrontation with a trainer over a minor policy issue that escalated far beyond what was appropriate. The trainer got into my personal space, spoke aggressively, and attempted to escalate the interaction in front of other members and a client. That behavior should never occur in a professional fitness environment. I immediately escalated the incident to the training manager and later to the club general manager. Rather than implementing effective mitigation, both relied on procedural responses and repeatedly stated the issue was "handled" without taking practical steps to prevent continued interaction or escalation. Months later, I continued to encounter the same trainer regularly, including unnecessary proximity while I was actively using equipment. Despite multiple follow-ups, the training manager and club general manager treated the matter as closed while the situation persisted in practice. This review is not about Life Time as a brand overall. It is about a specific club where leadership failed to meaningfully address a serious staff conduct issue. When management prioritizes procedural closure over real mitigation, it creates avoidable risk for members.

The facility has been updated very nicely with all new equipment, a dedicated personal training area, racquetball courts, spin classes, and a new Pilates section. The new lockers and great sauna refresh were also a great improvement. My only real disappointment is that I wish more attention had been given to the men's locker room during the remodel process. On my visit today, there were two broken showers, a lot of mildew in much of the tile grout and on the shower curtains, two toilet stalls out of order, and the hot tub was not functioning. I genuinely appreciate the investment made into the club, and overall the remodel was a big improvement. I just hope cleanliness and maintenance continue to be a focus moving forward, especially with so many fitness options now available in the Las Colinas area.

We've been working with Amber for almost six months now, and we've seen impressive changes in muscle mass growth and fat reduction, that we have nothing but praises for her style. My partner has lost over 50 pounds in said time, and I have increased my endurance and muscle mass in my triathlon training. Amber is constantly pushing us to challenge ourselves and finding ways to adapt to the very different training needs we both need, and she's fantastic whether it is solo or couple's training. And on that makeup comment.. please, her makeup is just perfect (not that she needs any), and anyone who complains isn't worth her time anyway. In summary, if you need a trainer who personally cares, caters to your individual needs and challenges you, look no further, Amber if your gal! ‍

And what makes this place worse is that you can sign up for a new membership in 5 minutes at the club, but you CANNOT CANCEL the membership at the club (not reason for this) without going through a third party call center, who then sends you an email form (even though the website says you can cancel by phone in their FAQs) . Good assortment of weight training machines, racks, and free weights. I do wish there was some more room in the free weight/rack area though. There's also a cross fit style open room, but sometimes there are group fitness classes taking up that space. Most of the time the gym equipment is pretty open. Between 5 & 7 or so is the most traffic.

I finally received an email response, at 10:30pm from the GM on July 31st stating she would call me the next day at 5pm. I replied at 10:45 agreeing to the time and that call never came on August 1st. I made my final call attempt today and have decided to try the Coppell or Addison locations. This is perhaps the most unprofessional member experience I have had in years.

They know how to put their patrons first at those other places. IF he actually was taught to put members first, he would've let me finish the extra three minutes it would have taken me to complete my sets... never going back here. Or they could've put a sign to not use machine, like all other gyms in the world do. I have been a personal trainer all my life and never have I witnessed anything like what happened to me here today. If you're serious about your workouts and your time in the gym, don't bother with this incompetent staff that doesn't know how to put paying members first. What I experienced today is like eating at a restaurant and while you're in the middle of taking a bite of your half eaten burger, the waiter comes to your table and grabs your plate with your fries from underneath you. Who does that? LOL.
