I ended up going with another plumbing company getting a new a new water heater put in for under $1,500. Do not call this place. They will rip you off if you let them. don't. The furnace she had put in is only $650 at menards. Glad you replied Joe and are taking this seriously, but the damage has already been done. When your 2 folks were at her house diagnosing the problem, I spoke with them over the phone for a good 10 minutes. She told me afterwards she was so happy she had me to tell her to say "no thank you" because of the pressure and ridiculous prices your guys had put on her. They had an answer to everything (even to me) of why it is that expensive, like they have been through this exact practice, over and over and over. I don't really care for any more of your lip service, I will just never use your company again and tell my friends and family to avoid S and J Plumbing & Sewer 100% of the time. A cheap 40 gallon $650 water heater that takes 2-3 hours to put in should never be $3000. Shame shame trying to take advantage of the elderly on a fixed income.

An hour or so after he left, I ran the water in the vanity sink and there was a noticeable leak. He said he would come back a few days later to take a look. He returned and tightened the connections. I again ran the water after he left, and again there was dripping under the drain so I asked him back again. He came back again and did some more tightening and said it should be ok now. I again ran the water after he left and there was still a drip. I then texted him saying that I would like a refund of $350 of the $1100 he charged because the pipes were still leaking and he had already claimed twice that the problem was fixed when it wasn't. He refused and then tried to gaslight me saying actually there was no leaking. So if you want a plumber who doesn't stand by his work, then this is the guy for you (My response to his comments): For the record, here is the text exchange between Brad and Me (and yes I did say "please consider giving me a refund because I don't want to give you bad reviews"--and that is a reasonable response on my part given that I received service that is below what the average person would expect [i.e. 3 visits by the plumber and the sink trap is still dripping]. (From Craig): Brad, The vanity is still leaking and I can't devote any more time to this project, therefore I am requesting a partial refund of the money you charged me. Where to start... we had been having major issues with our main drain backing up into our laundry…read moreroom. After many attempts to avoid any major repairs, we had given in. We had received a quote from another company that was extremely high, so, we decided to get a second quote from EGV Sewer. The staff is very nice, they had Armando come out the same day and provide a quote. When I tell it was significantly less, it was!!! EGV Sewer was even doing more work i.e. replacing the concrete sidewalk. Anyway, we had an issue last weekend as we were waiting for the work to be done. EGV Sewer again came out and quickly fixed our issue to give us piece of mind until the work was done. They came out on 7/8/26 and did the repair, we did have an surprise where we needed more work done; however, it was still overall 2k less than the other company. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this company. Great pricing, customer service, and quality work. Thank you Armando and team for fixing our issue. Also, shout out to Katie in the office, so pleasant, and always getting back to me promptly! I am certainly glad this is over but if we ever have any other plumbing issues, EGV Sewer will be my first call.

THIS REVIEW IS 11 MONTHS IN THE MAKING. Last December we called Darren due to our drainage tile…read morepump burning out which is located in the same room as our sewage ejector pump. Darren came out and gave us an estimate to replace the pump. One of his employees came back and replaced the pump that was burned out and this is where the issue comes in. The person that was working on our pump unplugged the sewage ejector pump for some reason and left it unplugged after they were done. As we have used Darren in the past we fully trusted his company to do a great job and they have until this time. It was a week later were I was downstairs doing laundry and found that where was water coming up from the floor drain and it was all over the floor and leaking under the baseboards to the room next to the laundry room into the carpet and into our bathroom as well. I reached out to Darren and explained what was going on and he asked me if I could take pictures and text them to him....right there was a RED FLAG....a customer calls you and tells you there is a problem with work done as their house and instead of coming in person to see, he asked for pictures. So I take the pictures and send them to him and he responds that he will have to see if he wanted to go through his insurance and that it did not look like it would be more then his deductible, also get a quote for the damages. After sending him the quote I do not hear from him in a couple of weeks, then he responds that he had some health issues and that he was in the hospital, mind you this is in the beginning of January. I wait until the end of the month to follow up with him and he stated that he was just getting out of the hospital and he has a long road to recovery and to bear with him a little longer. I apologized to him and asked if there was someone in the office to take care of the matter and he never responded to me after that. In March I texted him again asking if he was doing well and were we stood on fixing the basement...he never responded and after several attempts trying to contacting him he finally responded in may stating that he is finally getting back to work and needs to catch up and to give him a week or so and he will get back to me. A week later I reached out to him again asking for an update and he stated that he was going to visit his daughter in Wisconsin and to follow up with him next week!!!! A week later I reached out again and asked how it was going and his response was slow! This is now the end of May so I waited until the middle of June to reach out to Darren and to my surprise he was back in the hospital. Its now the end of June and I reach out to him again asking for an update and told him this has been long enough please but the issue to bed. Darren does respond this time asking what my address was and he will mail me a check?!?!....Darren then doesn't remember the quote I sent him and had to resend him the quote again. After some banter back and forth he then stated that he's not sure who was to blame for the unplugging of the pump????? I was shocked to hear this from him! July 9th I followed up with him again and did not hear back from him. At this point I was ready to get a lawyer involved, so I let him know that and Immediately he responded back saying he had some cash on him and would drop it off at the house. It was not the full amount for the quote I sent him but I took what I could get. Darren did say that he would get me the rest of it as soon as he could. I texted Darren July 17th asking for the rest of the payment.....after reaching out several times I did not hear from Darren until October. This time he was not taking responsibility for his work and as a business owner. All I wanted to have him do is make the situation right and pay for the damages and he couldn't even do that. It is now November that still haven't herd from Darren about getting the rest of the money. I KNOW THIS WAS LONG BUT ITS BEEN A YEAR DEALING WITH THE LIES AND I WANTED TO BE AS DESCRIPTIVE AS POSSIBLE SO YOU DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID BY USING FLUSH PLUMBING. Called multiple places and was told they could set up appt in 2+ days. Then I went on yelp and found CJ plumbers, #1 or 2 on the list for best plumbers, they were able to send a service man out within 2 hours and fixed everything within 30 minutes. Service man was so nice, explained everything. The rates were very reasonable for an emergency service, $375 flat rate. Dmitry the person scheduling the appointment was also very helpful and responsive. This company is an excellent choice if you have any plumbing problems that need quick service.
