He showed me that the capacitor was testing low, the contactor was worn and pitted, and even performed a megger test on the compressor to verify it was still healthy. After the repairs, he confirmed everything was working properly by showing me the compressor amperage had dropped back to normal and that the system had an 18-degree temperature split. Keon was patient with all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. He explained the pros and cons of the recommended repairs, including the hard-start kit, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured. Their technician came out and found that my mom's air vents were these wooden type slats and were simply closed causing no flow on the rooms. He was honest and confirmed to me that's all it was. He opened them up and he even replaced a missing air filter from the air intake and didn't charge us extra for it. I appreciate Energy Solutions for being honest, friendly and thorough. Given that I didn't have to wait days for an appointment, I agreed to the price, which was initially high compared to others. That being said, it ultimately became roughly the same, if not a little cheaper, than other places that charged by the hour or quarter hour, as the job was a little more complex than initially thought. The guy spent almost 2.5 hours here to change out two bibs (again, way more complex than he probably thought), and he did a wonderful job. My problems were addressed same day, same visit. If I chose other plumbers, I would have waited days before my items were addressed. I've used Jazz before with my older AC unit, and they will always have a spot in my contact list if I need help with my HVAC or plumbing.

Juan was very honest with me when he did our repair and suggested we shop around for prices because the repair would've cost us about $6,000 but might not last long... and a new unit would be around $18,000... so once his temporary repair was done (add Freon for $924) about three weeks later, the ac went out again. So it was time to just replace the 18 year old system... I checked with three other competitors. Smart landed right in the middle. I told Sam from Smart that I had a bid that was slightly lower than his and he called me to discuss it. Sam was very knowledgeable and patient. After our talk, I decided to go with Smart that night. Their crew showed up the next week and complete the job in about 10 hours. The crew complied of Jesus, Juan, Benny and George. Everyone was very professional and went the extra mile. They helped me fix some electrical issue in the attic, correct some vents that were installed backwards (thanks Plute Homes) and even vacuumed the area after the job. They were all very considerate that I had pets around and kept the door shut. I highly recommend Smart. Their contractor also came the next day to fit the new attic door.

Last Fall (or was it the year before?) our furnace stopped working, and I called Cali HVAC for service. They sent Oleg fairly quickly, and he did a good job repairing it; in fact, he proved himself to be very conscientious when, after replacing a circuit board that fixed the problem, he didn't like the way one part on the board was oriented, so he came back and replaced that board with a different one that fit better. He could have left it as is, since it was working, and I probably never would have known. In addition to fixing the problem pretty quickly, Oleg was also very informative and polite, answering all questions with patience and no attitudes.
