We got ripped off by another service- paid $450 for a $40 pump that didn't need to be replaced. The technician who came out was very thorough and honest- he diagnosed the issue using logic and it ultimately led to a simple clog in a water line. My nails salon 's ac unit got water dripping when I turned it on. I called AC clinic HVAC service for fixing it. Nick came over and didn't know what to do but he charged me $250. The next day, the water was still dripping down much more. He came twice and did know how to fix it. He told me if I could hire another person who can fix it, he would refund money back to me. I ,by myself ciimbed up to the roof and clean the drain line with vinegar. Just very simple way I solved the problem. Nick still asking me to hire another constructor to show him how to fix the issue then he refund money for me. It sounds so plundered. He tried to keep my money for his unprofessionalism. My heat was gone for almost a week. I was freezing. I was waiting for my Home Appliance Insurance to help me. They were not helpful. I had to look for my own help. I found AC Clinic. Nick replied within 15 minutes. He was the first to reply. we scheduled same day between 3 - 5 PM. I was very pleased he could come on short notice. He was able to diagnose the problem immediately and the problem was fixed within an hour. It was not an easy problem. He had to take out the blower drum which was in a tight enclosure. My AC stopped working over 4th of July weekend. Sent a request through my home warranty and it was sent to this company. I got a call on Tues and they came out on Wed. They showed on time which is why I'm giving 2stars. The guy said rats ate thru the coil, I'm going to assume my mom misunderstood the coil part and that he meant the wires. So he dutifully sent that report to the home warranty so that now they won't have anything to do with AC unit. Fine. However he said he'd have to get back to about fixing it. Fine. Then he doesn't call back, I gave him over a day then started calling the office. Only voice mail. Coming up on Fri evening, don't want to go through the weekend with no AC & it hitting 100*. Called another company Fri evening they came out this morning(next day). He said it was a blown capacitor replaced it on the spot. And that this should have been totally covered under the warranty. Now I have to go through the hassle of sending in all new paperwork to get my AC covered again. Needless to say I won't be using or recommending them. read more

A/C clinic wasted a little over 2 weeks of my time. I suspect that my HVAC system has a refrigerant leak so I contacted my home warranty regarding the issue. My home warranty contacted A/C Clinic to address the issue. A/C Clinic arrived promptly and recommended to replace the air compressor. I was told that they would need to order the new air compressor and they don't have any estimate how long it will take to receive the part. I was ok with that. Over the past 2+ weeks I have been calling A/C clinic every few days to see if they have any update regarding receiving the new air compressor. Nearly all of my calls were not answered. I left voicemails every time none of these calls were returned. The two times I got through I was told that they were on a job and will check on the status when they get back to their desk. I never heard back. Today I reached out to my home warranty to see if they can get a hold of A/C clinic. According to my home warranty company A/C clinic responded to their voicemail today and informed them that the contractor injured his arm and would not be able to complete the job. If the contractor is injured than I am very sorry to hear that. An injury would have had to have happened recently since the two times I spoke to the contractor he told me he was on a job. So there is really no excuse for the lack of communication for the past 2+ weeks. If you guys didn't want to do the job it would have been nice to know that sooner. Now I have to start over from the very beginning and get this part ordered all over again. This is really unfortunate as we are heading into summer and it really sucks to not have air conditioning. After my AC system quit working and resets of the circuit breaker kept tripping the system off, I knew I had a bigger problem than just a bad relay or blown fan motor. I researched AC companies in the San Fernando Valley area and found AC Clinic with very positive reviews. Nick (the owner) showed up, tested the unit and determined the AC compressor was seized up and shorting the system. Called out for service on A/C condensation line that was leaking. left my house 'work completed' with a literal faucet like amount of water flowing from my ceiling, and into my walls, next to my electrical outlets. Nick is a go to doctor for your HVAC issues. He had fixed my AC during the summer and heater last week. I have a HVAC which is 25 years or more old. The intake blower and the unit fan(outdoor) was not working. Nick came in and figured out couple if small parts has to be changed. He came in the next day and fixed it. Also changed the freon gas. The heater wasn't turning on. He said the thermostat is not good and recommended (optional)us to buy a new one and change it by ourselves. He jumped start the thermostat and now it's working. My AC started blowing room temp (hot) air and after a call to my home warranty company and have a 6+ week lead-time for when a technical could come out, I contacted several companies on yelp. Nick literally responded in under a minute and was at my door 3hours later!
