I recently had quite an experience and almost became the victim of a major scam when our hot water heater (only 5 years old with warranty expiring just two days before) sprung a major leak. With my husband being out of town, I pulled out the file and called he company we had bought the water heater from. They came out quickly and gave me the bad news: I needed a new hot water heater and that it would cost $2500. To make a long store short, I questioned this price which was immediately reduced to $1,700 by the manager on the phone. I jumped on yelp, saw that this un-named company had racked up a bunch of 1 star reviews and that many people had similar experiences. In the meantime, my husband was on the phone with Armon from Ac plumbing who said that he could come take a look too. Outcome: Armon came, quoted me 1/4 of the price quoted by the first company and had replaced our hot water in hours. We had some problem installing the sink faucet, went out and bought the tools for it at home depot, got home and was unable to fix it ourselves due some pipes in the wall. So we went back and forth about calling a plumber but wasn't sure which company was out there that are genuinely honest and would not hassle us into fixing more than we need and charging us an arm and a leg. We found AC Plumbing from yelp and based on all the yelp reviews, we called. I'm glad we did because Armon came out the same evening and installed everything so we could have a brand new faucet running. Armon was super friendly and gave us an awesome deal! This plumbing company was AWESOME! My husband and I had a main line back up issue with our toilets and showers being clogged. We called AC plumbing, talked to Armon, explained what was going on and he was very friendly. He showed up in a more than reasonable time. When he got to our house he looked at what was going on, got to work and finished quickly. He informed us about our old pipes and what to do to prevent this problem from occurring again. This is my first review at Yelp. My kitchen sink got clogged during the weekend. i tried to use a plunger which didn't work that well and black liquid started to fill my sink. i called AC Plumbing in the morning and Armon showed up at my door promptly at 2pm. He got the job done in 20 minutes or so. I then asked him to check another sink for me and he did that as well. I feel that those with drain clogs and plumbing issues should give AC Plumbing a try. I needed help hooking up the drain on my new cast iron tub and also raising the showerhead. Armon and his apprentice were on time, friendly, efficient and very reasonably priced. Not only did they fix the problems I had, they updated my copper fixtures and helped correct some issues I had with mounting the tub (and doing so with the 315 pound tub was quite a pain). I struggled to clear a toilet for 2 weeks and finally gave up and Google searched for a local plumber. I found AC Plumbing easily and saw their great Yelp reviews so I hired them. Jeremiah - their guy in nearby Oceanside - was stressed about getting to an evening class on time, but put his stress aside and was very helpful - arriving exactly on time at 4PM and acting in a professional manner. He had to remove the toilet and use his commercial grade auger on the sewage line, but eventually found and fixed the clog. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone - but then, the Yelp reviews speak for themselves. read more

I just had a unexpected leak in my upstairs bathroom which caused damage in my downstairs room. When I called AC Plumbing they were very responsive and scheduled a visit that same day. Armom came and assessed the situation, game me pricing for the entire project and was very helpful in explaining the damage. His quote was reasonable, and he came back the next day right on time to do the project. He was done in a few hours, and then said he would come back again to check the bathroom and do final sealing. Contacted Armon at AC Plumbing after having a nightmare experience with one of the big pluming companies in North County. I had a clogged kitchen sink and was impressed with his reviews on Yelp. Let me tell you...he is awesome! He cleaned the drain for the quoted $40 price and I had him clear an additional drain in a bathroom because I was so happy with his work in the kitchen. $80 total, no additional fees, service charges etc. He was friendly, professional and kept all the work areas clean. We needed to unclog the kitchen drain, so I was looking around for a good deal. The prices I received from other companies varied from 85 to a 100 dollars, and some of the bigger companies refused to quote any prices over the phone. I then found AC Plumbing, which offers to unclog drains for 40 dollars. I made an appointment, and Armon, the owner, showed up. He was extremely courteous and professional. Awesome customer service. I called Friday morning trying to get someone out that day because I has been trying to unclog my drain for 5 days unsuccessfully. Bonnie was super friendly and said they weren't in my area today, and gave me a recommendation to an other plumber. She called me back a few minutes later and said the plumber would be able to make it, and would be driving down from north county on a Friday (who really wants to make that drive), but Armon showed up with a smile, unclogged my sink in record time, super friendly. Ok let me tell you why I will never use any other plumber other than Armon and ac plumbing... I've used him twice now, once for hooking up a shower, once for running water and a new drain for my washing machine. Both times the job turned out to be much more complicated than we originally thought and both times Armon stayed until the end, did a fantastic job and stuck to the agreed upon price. Stay away!! We were getting our counter tops done and got evacuated in the middle of it. we called them three days later, the person showed up and had to wait may an hour till my contractor got ready and we got home from the evacuation to our house. He charged us $230 just to change 2 valves and left the job half done saying he has to go to a different job just because he had to wait and the stuff was not ready for him. I have two young kids we haven't been home for 3 days and now he tells me he cannot finish the job until Monday which is after the weekend. When I called the owner he is lecturing me that it is my fault that the job was not ready for them. The owner was not even considerate enough to send someone else later in the day after me pleading with him on the phone. He can lie how much ever he wants in his reply to his review but I cross my heart that this is the truth! read more

We called AC Plumbing after seeing their good reviews on Yelp. We had a bathroom faucet that was partially blocked so that the hot water came out as a trickle. The last plumber we asked to look at it said there was probably a pinched hot water pipe in the wall behind the sink and we would need to open up the drywall to repair it. Armon looked at it and figured it was more likely to be a damaged or blocked valve. He took apart the hot water connectors under the sink and found small particles accumulated inside the valve. He flushed out the pipe and valve and put everything together again and it now works at full strength. We had some drama during the process as one of the valve handles broke off during disassembly but Armon made a quick trip to the nearby plumbing store to replace the worn out part. A job well done with clear explanations and at reasonable cost. Doesn't get any better than that. Five stars!!! read more
