When given my bill, I was thankful I looked at it carefully. At the bottom there is a charge that says "Service Charge 20%". What is that? I asked the bartender and she said it's a tip. Then why not right "tip" instead of a "service charge?" I can only imagine how many people don't look at the bill and add a tip, which is why they do this. It's just not good business practice to try and sneak things by customers. On the other receipt that you get that you need to sign, there is a line for a "tip." so on the receipt you signed it says tip, but on the actual first bill that they gave you it says service charge. Again, they are switching around the verbiage to trick people into giving more money. This is a very slimy business practice. I can only imagine how many people write a tip on there not knowing that 20% was already added to their bill. Unfortunately, I just cannot support a business like this and won't return.

You don't even speak to me any more. Hobbling around like "The Penguin" and shit, all sully and frank. This time he is sitting with the old guy group by the bar. A guy says he's not paying for his burger because it is too small for the money. Neil tells to the bar lady "you tell them to save that burger and the next one comes in, use it!" Gross. This also leads me to believe my food was leftover from last week. More on that in just a bit... The place is just flat nasty in the front. Grease, dust, dirt, and grime. I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. The only reason I still come here is to reminisce about my Dad. He and his friends loved this place. They have a chicken liver lunch special on Wednesdays that we used to hit up together. I have always loved the burger here although it's been years since I had it. Never will again bow. Service is usually ok as there are more mature type folk working here for the most part. The bartender lady with the spiked blonde hair is nice in her own way. Not the case this last time though. I had a newbie server it seemed. My last visit sucked really bad. My last three visits before that, sucked moderately bad. I can take the moderate piece, but won't stand the shit I got last time. All hours of the day from just around 4 pm until midnight hour this place is "happiest of all!" They play so many live bands here! It's insane! Now many times we tried to get a seat but no luck! This is the place. It's always packed and the individuals that come here eating are always dressed up. This is not a problem but it's not a night club. It's a well organized eatery that sponsors the local individuals that play music. They play for the community of Memphis! Now they have food and a full bar. You can dine inside and enjoy patio seating too. This place always busy! So make a reservation. The bar is always packed too! The food is delicious. Drinks and dessert a must. Parking is available on the street or blocks away . It's first come and first serve . We loved the concept of allowing people to play the blues for the community. They have a lot of special needs that are met and charity drives for donations from the public when they perform here. Whenever you're in the area make sure and check it out.
