Over the years I've had the pleasure of building a foundation with the staff and trust them as they are honest, quick, flexible and transparent! I refer everyone I know here and I also love the location being that there's a restaurant next door to eat at while your vehicle is getting serviced (ask for Anthony cause he's also a rockstar). I've recently decided to buy a new car and they were flexible on when I could come by to do an inspection report. They didn't BS me about what was wrong with the car (was on point as they were the things I was also thinking/noticed). My car desperately needed an oil change, so I brought my car to Accent Auto. I also found a Groupon for it, so perfect! The whole process is so smooth. I called them on Monday and they told me they can do the oil change at 1p. I drove there at 1p and they could see my car immediately and got everything done in 30 minutes. Probably had the best experience I ever had having my car fixed. I a A/C hose that was leaking. I brought it to Dave's Auto first and they wanted close to $1,000. A colleague at work suggested Accent Auto and they repaired it for less than half the cost. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the repair was done same day in a few hours. We agreed upon a date over the phone to get an oil change. I go in on the agreed-upon dates and the gentleman told me that the date was the day before. I would never have agreed-upon that date as I work until they close the day before. He then refused to take any responsibility for it and was a jerk. I then told him that he was bad at his job and he informed me that he has been doing this for 35. 35 years and your narcissism won't allow you to accept any sort of responsibility. I brought my car in after purchasing a Groupon for front brake pads after the dealership told me they had to be replaced. I had just spent $4k on the car and was pretty devastated to learn more than just the pads needed to be replaced. Accent gave me a fair quote (and I had asked around) to replace the pads, the rotors and a caliper. They were knowledgeable and explained the problem to me in a way I could understand. I couldn't afford the repair at that moment, so I took my car away and ended up taking it to my bf's mechanic who charged me 60% more for the exact same work. Expensive lesson. read more

Shop refused to honor groupon. Service Writer States my Mercedes-Benz cla250 is a full size sedan. Car is classified as compact sedan. Please be aware that shop is using questionable tactics to lure in customer then attempting to upsale based on lies. Left review on Google and the owner responded that the reason for price increase was because car has special specs. Tried to explain to shop owner that I asked service writer if it was because of type of car and he said no strictly because car is a full size sedan, In his words "if it has 4 doors", and owner is incapable of comprehending the statement. The shop has a right to charge what they want for services. But they should not be trying to convince potential customers that their car is something it is not. Again this review has nothing to do with workmanship of the technicians but solely based on the shady tactics of the service advisor. Point blank the shop should have just said they didn't want to honor their groupon not try to convince me that I drive a large car. The standard transmission of my old Ford got stuck in gear. Called AAA and the tow truck driver recommended Accent on Ben White. I didn't have a better option so went out on a limb as a first-time customer. Steven is clearly Accent Auto's "old car" guy. After a quick visual inspection he called to say he'd seen it before with some of his own cars, and that it most likely was not serious. One and a half days and it was ready to pick up. No parts, only 2 hours of labor. (Not a bad clutch, as I'd suspected--some linkage had come loose.) I went to accent auto because I had a Groupon for an oil change. The oil change was fast and the guy in charge, Eddie, was friendly. I only put three stars because they left my oil cap off once they were done and I drove to Houston afterwards and hot oil spattered all over my engine and some hoses I had to replace under my hood. They were nice and apologized and replenished my oil and cleaned up what they could free of charge but I feel like it is a problem that should not have happened in the first place and it caused a lot more problem with my car that I had to fix and pay for. read more

I went here after purchasing a Groupon for a discounted brake job, since my car was in need of new brake pads. After assessing my car, I was told and shown that my rotors were actually in pretty bad shape since my pad had been worn down pretty thin. I appreciated being shown the difference between a good rotor and bad rotor, and after deciding that I trusted their judgment I went ahead and got the rotors replaced as well. Unfortunately, shortly after getting this job done, I began to hear a screeching noise every time I backed up my car. The noise progressively got worse, and after taking it back and not being able to replicate the noise, I ended up taking it again a third time when the noise was way more obvious. Each time, they had me drive my car around to try to replicate the noise, which luckily I was able to the second time. They took my car to the back again and after waiting to see what the issue was, the employee said that he was going to go ahead and replace all the pads and rotors since my back tires were also starting to wear thin and I had been back 3 times already. I was so incredibly appreciative of their generosity. I waited about 4 hours for everything to be done, but afterwards my car was back to it's old self and even better, with no screeching and my brakes work perfectly and I can tell the difference with how much stronger my new brakes are now. However, I was a little disappointed because usually, when you buy a Groupon, the Groupon covers the entire service. That's how it's supposed to work. Both times i felt like they were genuine and honest, didn't try to sell me on random fluids and filters, and were efficient. Being female and going to get your car fixed mechanics automatically think you're an idiot and don't know anything about cars and try to scam you, overcharge you, and talk to you like you don't know anything. Eddie was extremely rude. I purchased a Groupon and they tried to up charge me an extra $80 on top of what was previously paid for brake pads to be replaced. He got loud and defensive when I simply asked about the $150 Groupon not covering resurfacing for my brakes. This took an hour just to get the quote. It was going to be an hour longer for the pads to be replaced. 2 hours!!? For one set on brake pads? I was upset and it was clear, but I still tried to talk to him. He proceeds to give me back my car & says "fuck off" after handing me my keys as he walked away. Because I can't afford another $80 in these times? I've never experienced anything like this before. I came here around late December with a really broken Mitsubishi. I dropped it off for a couple days and while their shop was closed they checked it out. They ended up doing some replacements on mounts and an alternator as well as replacing my steering wheel column after giving them to go to work on my car. Labor was pretty cheap and I was really happy with their work. They cleaned up my battery and gave me a new cable too. I came back about a week after to get a horn installed and a new rear passenger side brake light. They can't install air horns, but they got my rear light installed for free! I was super happy about that. And they were super friendly. When I asked several different clerks about the work they did on my car, they were very explicit and I never felt like I was missing out on anything they were doing for me. Now it's been a month and I've come back because I hit my knee on my steering wheel and it just fell apart. At first I was super pissed, I felt like I'd been cheated out of my money. But then I thought about Eddie and the other mechanics and thought about how genuine they were. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called them. They told me to come in right away. They are open on Presidents' Day FYI. I dropped my car off and the next day they called me and said it was fixed. I came in and was EXTREMELY surprised. They went ahead and fixed everything free of charge. And they were super nice about everything. I was so worried I was gonna have to fight these guys, but no. They were hassle free!! I jumped on the road to find out my air horn no longer worked. I brought it back and they fixed it in 5 minutes. Super easy, super nice, and they know what they're doing. I've spent a lot of time in the waiting room talking with the owner and you can see he has a very clear goal of making sure the provide what their customers are looking for. I picked them out about a year ago because they were walking distance to Black Sheep Lodge, so I figured I could go have a burger and a cold pint while I waited for my car to get fixed. The owner is very professional and friendly, and always takes care of me when I go in. The mechanics are friendly and knowledgable. They are reasonably priced and do solid work. I have an older car that is falling apart, so they have seen me several times (tune-up, fuel pump/filter/pressure guage, brakes, a/c...). All the work they've done has been something I already knew was wrong with my car, for the most part, so I have never had that "are they making shit up?" feeling, and they never upsell me on a bunch of stuff I don't need. They also do a free diagnostic - the other reason I chose them in the first place. Eddy (the owner) even gave me a ride to the DMV so I could get my license replaced while I waited on them to do the last round of repairs. (I had been headed there when the car started to die and forced me to re-route to the mechanic). I have recommended many friends go there and I stand by them. They did the oil change, but they didn't tighten the drain plug, and it fell off on the highway on the way home. Ended up finding an MB mechanic who actually pulled out all the parts they messed with... we had holes punched/cut into hoses and all sorts of other issues and ended up selling the car to that mechanic for half of what we paid because it was such a mess and we weren't getting any use out of it anyway. There are loose screws in the working area, and I believe that my car picked up one when they drove my car to the parking lot.
