I had one of the greatest experiences at Accent BMW. As you know, BMW vehicles are sensitive, and no one can fix them. I had a terrible experience with my old mechanic and dried me financially. I call Accent and explain my experience with Johny and Rebecca. Johnny, the lead mechanic with many years of experience, assured me they would look at my car, and for some reason, they couldn't have my BMW running. I will not pay a dime(only a diagnos fee). Normally I don't write reviews for a bad and incompetent customer service but I feel it's imperative others to know how incompetent and careless Accent BMW is. I had a major engine work done by Accent back in Aug' 2024. Car came back with unsecure drive shaft. Just in 3 days after, plume of smoke coming out of car. For no reason it was diagnose a turbo failure. After $4K repairs, the car stalled in a next 4 days. Again towed and diagnose a fuel injector failure. After replacing that I have had enough, took the car to another BMW mechanic. They found the cylinders are leaking oil and engine work had to be re-done. Accent BMW re-did the work. Within 2 days car stalled with check engine light. At this time I had car towed to the same 'another' mechanic. They found: 1. The hood latch assy. is broken during the work performed by Accent. Instead of telling me they just Zip tie it which didn't work. 2. Also Accent BMW broke the Throttle Assy switch and they just put together hoping all will be ok. Just by few bumps on the road assy came loose and stalled the car with a check engine light. Item 1&2 cost me over $1000. This is an absolute careless, incompetency and a bad workmanship by Accent BMW. This nightmare of almost 6 months is awful. They call them self BMW specialist- frankly there mechanic failed to keep up with new technology. Oh by the way they have this sign of master BMW mechanic with someone else name. It turned out that person doesn't work on a regular bases. read more

Blessed to have found technicians I can trust! Knowledgeable and reasonably priced work. Never will I take my vehicle elsewhere again. My vehicle has been misdiagnosed a couple of times by other shops and I was recommended repairs that did not fix the root cause of my vehicles issues when it came to cause of draw in my electrical system accent determined was due to an actuator. When I couldn't shift my gears from reverse some place said I needed a whole new trans Accent said I just needed a new trans shifter cable. They are really great at diagnosing!!!! read more

I came over here and brought my 2014 Bmw M5 to replace spark plugs and coils. Once i got the car back it began to leak oil. Note that it was not leaking before. I brought the car back and they said it was a sensor that was leaking so they replaced that. once i got the car back for the second time it had and error on the dash secure vehicle against rolling. I though it was odd that each time i got the car back there was something new that was wrong. So i called i brought the car back, 3rd time!. They said it could be the battery and the only way to check it was to change the battery. So they changed the battery and called me and told me that's not the problem.. by this time i'm a bit disappointed with what's going on. they told me they needed to repair something and they needed to drop the transmission and they quoted me 7,000$!!! I said Hxll no and took my car back.. Did some research found out it was a lock out park module. The part cost me 250$.. I actually replaced my self with basic tools and jacks to lift the car! It wasn't easy but it was not rocket science.. oh yeah and the Dealer quoted me 3,500$. Disappointed with this shop. read more

As a graduate student at seminary heading into finals week, a dead battery was the last thing I needed. I called up Accent on Tuesday afternoon (late) and was able to get in the next morning at 9 AM. Although they didn't have the exact battery for my 328i, they were able to order the battery and had it installed within an hour and a half. I paid $350 all in all. I would have paid up to $700 at BMW and probably would have had to wait three or four times as long. I can't say how much Accent was a Godsend for me today. About 45 minutes into waiting for my car to be done some guy walked in and left a couple of Gospel pamphlets on the desk. I've literally sat on this review for years. I wanted to give this place 4-5 stars, I really did; as a dedicated BMW enthusiast, I did my homework to find the best indie shops in town. Well, I didn't do it properly because I've been had. What happened to me, may or may not happened to you. But best to err on the side of caution rather than get dooped out of time and especially money. Let's begin my story. I came in various times for capital work, nothing minor. Thinking that general work for BMWs were on the pricier side, I only cringed after the fact the prices that Glenn quoted me. Little did I know that those prices were already inflated. Secondly, those stupid hours. The shop opens promptly at 8am every weekday, receiving people slightly earlier. They close at noon for lunch and promptly close at 5pm. And I do mean promptly. In all my years dealing with independent mechanics, if it's one consistency I have ever noticed, it has been flexibility. Mechanics understand that people can't leave work or interrupt their day to be at the shop prior to 5pm to pay and pick up their cars. Most shops close later or will wait. Accent does not do this. If you're not there before 5pm, tough break, wait until tomorrow and pay the "storage fees." This is unfortunate for folks like us that no longer live near Lawndale and have to deal with getting out of work early and haggling through LA traffic. What's an hour and change in crap traffic to get there before 5 and be rewarded with a now repaired vehicle, great parts in place? Well, the fact that Accent BMW does not always use OEM BMW parts. The fact that Accent BMW may overcharge on services that are not needed. Let me explain something to you, Yelp Nation. Life took me a separate direction where I learned how to do some of my own repairs. Whatever I did not or could not do, I took to the BMW forums to ask and find out a reputable location. It was here where the atrocities of Accent BMW were discovered. My current mechanics had shown me proof that non-OEM parts were used. I don't know about you, but I like original parts on an original car. Anything less, especially made in China, just reeks of ripoffs. "Well how do you know if was Accent BMW?" I may not be a mechanic by trade, but I do keep accurate records of work performed and parts replaced. Those parts that broke again, should have not done so soon. And when I literally took it out of my car and noticed that they were non-OEM, I almost flipped my lid. "How do you know you were ripped off?" That's easy, compare the parts + labor of any reputable shop. Some things that indie shops verified, I had work done that was not needed. "How do you know those parts weren't planted?" Are you out of your fucking mind? No one in their right mind would go to such lengths to place shit parts in my car Unless you're Accent. Accent bled me out of cash. Maybe it would not hurt so much if it wasn't for their obsolete business practices. This is America dammit, a services oriented nation. Maybe it would not hurt so much if they had used genuine BMW parts. I understand it's a business and you have to make money, but don't try to buttfuck me with no vaseline by jacking up the prices on your labor, putting in shitty parts, performing non-required services, and have antiquated business practices. The bottom line is this. You can continue riding hard the balls to the sinking ship known as Accent BMW, but open your eyes. There's not much left, find reputable mechanics and stop the financial bleeding. It's your cash and car, not mine. So should it crash and burn like this shop will, don't say that you weren't warned. Negative stars if Yelp allowed it. And torch that couch, it really does smell like ass. If an ass had an ass, and that ass's ass was fat as fuck and sweated profusely, and it decided to run a marathon one day -- that's how the couch would smell like at the end of that marathon. read more

My car was recently at a the Southbay BMW service center to get diagnosed. My service advisor recommended to replace all 6 coils and quoted me a sky rocketing pice. Ugh like always they cost more than gold and silver combined. So, I decided not to get it done there, I started calling places to find a cheaper certified BMW mechanic with credible reviews I called Accent BMW Specialist right away and spoke with Melissa, not only she gave me a great deal (way better deal than any other places around Southbay Area) but i felt vey comfortable talking to her that we learned a thing or two from each other. Except Seeing the check engine light go off is worst then getting sick because you know it's likely to leave a pretty big hole in your pocket. I was recommended to this place by a friend and all I have to say is wow! Walking into a shop as a female is scary itself but I was greeted by Johnny who runs the place. He checked my car and explained everything to me in detail and made sure I understood what was going on with my car and answered all of my questions.
