Three carne asada street tacos, salsa and chips, with the side of rice. Everything tasted fresh well seasoned and flavorful my tacos had onions and cilantro I went with the mild hot sauce because I'm a big baby when it comes to hot or spicy food or sauces. The restaurant was very clean there is a book you can voluntarily sign but you don't have to they just track every customer for covid purposes. I think most people were just ordering and leaving or doing curbside pickup there was nobody dining in at least when I went there was no one dining in. They did forget my part of my order I did not realize it until I got home I called back and the gentleman was very nice and said they would replace it the next time that I came in I thought that was hassle-free good service. Just an FYI always check your order before you leave that's with any restraunt. There are restrooms for customers only and plenty of parking in a shared parking lot with other restaurants and next door there is a hotel for those of you who are traveling. Their breakfast burritos are sooooooo good, and so big! I've gotten the Seattle Burrito and the Seahawks Burrito. Their Dr Pepper is top notch (it sells a place for me hahah) Their refried beans aren't great imo, but everything else is delish. And the staff is always so friendly when I come to pick up my food. read more

Was looking for a lot of tacos for a good price and came across this place. I had one of their bowls before and it was delicious! Then I had it from another location and it was terrible lol. So I figured I'd give this Kent location a try. I ordered the taco box with carne, pork, and chicken. It also came with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. On the side I ordered 1 veggie taco. First thing I'll say, these tacos are small! So be prepared for that. The chicken looked dry to me and so did the carne. The carnitas had nice color to it and looked good. The family and kids liked the tacos, chips, and salsa but the rice and beans were lacking. The beans were rosarita straight from the can lol I've been eating those since childhood so I know them when I taste them. The rice was dry and lacked season. Overall they get 3 stars. If they make their own beans and season the rice, I'm sure it will be better. read more

COVID review: Great Mexican food. I'm from California and always miss the Mexican food from there, but this place makes food that reminds me of home. My first time I went here, I ordered the CA burrito, which basically means they put french fries in your burrito. Another time, me and my fiancé shared their chorizo breakfast burrito and it was able to fill us both up. The burritos here are very large, about the size of a ruler. Their horchata is also very good, with just the right amount of cinnamon, it tasted just like rice pudding. Overall, I love this place and think it makes great, crave-able Mexican food. Currently, you can place an order on their website or by calling and picking it up. We drive from Seattle to Kent, just for this place, that's how much we like it! read more

I have been frequenting this establishment since they opened in Kent in 2017. I was overjoyed to see they had adobada, prices are decent, and their service was good. Not sure if the business has new ownership but it's been a steady decline the last three years, especially. It's tough for me to give a low rating but after many chances and lots of grace, today was my last purchase at the Kent, WA Aceituno's. Probably over ten times now has my order been carelessly prepared; my order has been flat out WRONG so many times and I would shrug it off and tell myself mistakes happen, next time it will be right. Well, I have not had a time it's been correct the last few in a row and it's gotten ridiculous. Not sure where the disconnect is, whether it's the front of house or the kitchen, but I'm done. Food was absolutely delicious. I got the space needle burrito, and I highly recommend it. The service was kind and efficient. The people who work there are awesome. The ambiance isn't quite as loud as it can be in some similar places, which I enjoyed. Fun tip: try the salsa. The red is more mild and the green is spicier. I have tried multiple locations multiple times and can say with full confidence this place is not the flavor of Mexico. I tried the Coving location a few years ago, pre covid. I got something in the mail promoting Taco Tuesday. The tacos had little flavor and the chicken and beef both tasted like end and odd pieces. I gave them another try and had nacho served on bagged chips. The only thing remaining was breakfast, so I tried this location. I had the Tacoma, thought I would keep it simple, Sausage, Eggs, Cheese and Potato. This was a hot mess. It appears to be liquid eggs with French fries, GROSS. You are a Mexican restaurant! This should have been whole eggs, spicy sausage a shredded cheese blend, diced or tater tots with fresh salsa inside. It was a fat burrito, but I knew after the first bite I wasted my money. I ate about a third before I pitched it in the trash. This was the worst breakfast burrito I tasted. Every fast food breakfast burrito had more flavor than this and probably used higher quality ingredients. Hell the breakfast burrito I make was 10x better than this. I assume these are franchises and they make their money by cutting corners, but the food looks and tastes like every corner is being cut. If you gave this better than a star rating, either you don't know Mexican food, or you just don't care. read more

The menu didn't say, but I asked what the chile relleno comb comes with (another place I eat at, the chile relleno comes with a tamale, rice, and beans). They told me the chile relleno combo comes with a chile relleno, rice, and beans. So much for being a combo when you only get one thing. The chile relleno was okay. Instead of being light and airy, the breading was thick and doughy. Chips and salsa was extra and just the standard fare you get at most Mexican restaurants. Not too bad for Taco Tuesdays. I got 4 steak carne asada tacos, 4 chicken tacos and yes they were all for me lol. I did enjoy all 8 of these tacos, although the only criticism I have were the size of the tacos. Wouldn't kill them to use a bigger tortilla hmm? Maybe I'm just a complete fatass. Since moving from San Diego to Seattle 5 years ago, I have been on a quest to find taco shop cuisine that mirrored shops back home. Most of the time I have been GREATLY disappointed. Today we came into this unassuming taco shop and ordered. With the first bite of my carne asada taco, I had a flash back of SD taco shop food. The bolillo was soft, fresh, and fluffy. The carne asada was tender, seasoned well, and it was not light of meat. The guacamole, beans, and veggies were all fresh. This torta was delicious! The California Burrito had a good amount of tender and flavorful carne asada but was absent of cream or guacamole. The fries were very mushy and unappealing. Probably wouldn't reorder this one. Giving 5 stars because the location was very clean, the food was all fresh, flavorful, and didn't taste like it was reheated or made previously. I asked where the owner(s) were from since this food tasted close to back home. The employee wasn't sure but thought they were from Tijuana. It's an above average Mexican joint served cafeteria style....Why go to Chipotle, when you can get much better Mexican food with literally 50% larger portions for the same price?? I've been here 3x already since they've opened (no shame ) and got carne asada tacos each time. SOOO good! The meat is tender and not dry or too greasy. I've also tried the carnitas tacos which are great as well but carne asada is my fav. The carne asada fries are lackluster. Probably wouldn't order again. It's right off the bike trail going down the Green River in Kent making it a convienant stop for some quick food right behind Arby's on 212th St about a block east of the new Amazon distribution center. It's just a basic cafeteria style establishment but it's decent Mexican food at a decent price. The staff is friendly too. I'm a fan. read more

I ordered a burrito and specified twice that I wanted no jalapenos and no hot spices. The counter guy said both time that there would not be any. My mouth was still hurting fifteen minutes after I finished as much of it as I could. Plus, the burrito was kind of weird tasting. Something wasn't quite right about it. I'm speculating it might have been cheap or rancid oil. The place is cute, clean. Price was OK, I guess. $8 for a burrito seems a little high, but maybe that's what things cost these days. The bad rating isn't because it was spicey - I know most people like it that way, and Mexican food is usually spicey; the bad review is because of the severe indifference of the staff, not what I typically find in a Mexican restaurant. read more

I'm now writing a review since both times the Carne Asada was prob at least 2-4 days old. The color was off as was the texture and flav! For me it's easy to tell apart fresh Carne Asada. Came across Aceituno's when I had a power outage at my house and was out foraging for a warm restaurant to get a hot meal. Decided on the breakfast burrito with ham, which came out quickly and was certainly filling the bill as being hot. Price was maybe a bit high for what it was, but the burrito was substantial in size. In my mind I was comparing this to an amazing breakfast burrito I had in San Diego, unfortunately wasn't quite at that level. Meh. The chicken soft tacos were dry, flavorless, and overcooked. The beef crispy tacos were rock hard so VERY overcooked and frankly inedible. The fish taco was good but a small piece buried in cabbage. Rice and beans standard. My daughter's crispy beef tacos were OK but again the meat was overcooked. The service was ok amd the place was clean. It was just average...at best. And average doesn't get my money a second time. After thinking about it I revised the score. It was just bad.
