Found these folks on Yelp two weeks ago. Tiffany in the front office was as detailed as can be with email, phone and various scheduling follow ups. I had a complicated move with four stops in four different cities and then drop off and assemble. I wasn't there to supervise except by phone and text and the crew called and texted photos of final destination assembly etc.... I'm adding this company to my referral vendor list for sure! One of the stops my friend texted me and said, "wow, those movers were awesome -where did you find them?" I said Yelp. "So nice and professional", she said. Agreed! read more

Aces Moving Pros deserve their near 5 star rating. They definitely impressed me and my partner with a move this last Wednesday. Showed up on time and ready to go straight to work. Great guys (Jimmy, Ralph, Jonathan), and very courteous!! They worked fast and got us loaded and unloaded in half the time that I estimated for a 3 bedroom house - yes, the entire household furniture, including patio furniture, BBQ, and heavy SOB outdoor plants!! You may shop around but in the end, Aces' pricing with NO ADDITIONAL charges are the most transparent out of all their competitors...some others charge extra for the truck (I don't get that, you're a moving company??!!). Aces is a mom and pop business where mom does the scheduling and pop does the moving. My experience was that they are not on the same page, and they stood me up like a cheap date on prom night with no other movers able to step in on such short notice. Perhaps a better job came along for them. They were very nice people, and mom apologized...but I was still totally screwed thanks to Aces. 07/14/2016 Just got a message from this business owner through Yelp: "Hello it's ace moving. We're trying to clean up our reputation and was hoping you would remove your review in all fairness. Maybe we can send u a gift card for dinner to make up for not being able to do your job. Thanks" I never reviewed the business in 2012 because they totally blew me off. I simply recounted my experience, and I wasn't rude until they started calling me and dogging me! No thanks guys! I used Aces Moving Pros for both storage and a long distance move. My entire experience from initial call to (10 months later) arriving at my new home was extremely positive. Mike came out and provided a detailed estimate for packing up our old home and moving our items to storage. Moving day went off without a hitch -- the team packed up our entire house flawlessly - including all of our fragile vintage glassware! Fast forward 10 months (yes, much later than anticipated) and we finally purchased a new home 500 miles away, it was time to take our stuff out of storage and move in! Again, everything went flawlessly from my first call to Tiffany in the office to the move in and unpack. The team was great! It was a huge relief in that Tiffany was very familiar with all the rules and requirements for moving into a high rise condo and provided all the necessary documentation very quickly. Started promising but I was fast disappointed. I had to move to Northern California from Palm Springs area for work; There were 5 workers...that came to pick up our furnitures & other belongings. But only 2 will travel up north. They were fairly quick so it gave me a sense of security but then I was disappointed as they requested a"tip" for the workers. I was never told by the owner that gratuity was needed . Of course I did not have any cash on me. The owner when came over to give us the quote never mentioned that. I also paid in advance to ensure proper service. That apparently was not communicated to the driver & lead mover. He was surprised that I paid in advanced. You would think that this was communicated. Anyhow I could not accompany them on the move up& relied on their professionalism. Anyhow fast forward. We were renting the house in northern cal. & was told trash & motor oil was spilled & not clean up. When I inquire & question as to what happened. Their response was :" well it's an old truck & driving that distance. Of course will leak oil. " they did apologize for not cleaning the oil. I would think if the truck is older then they should at least place some pads underneath their truck on arrival. I called the owner & their response was "oh sorry ". Never once got a call back to apologize or at least a " service recovery". We had a few broken chinaware which was expected. But at least should have reach to see if we had a good experience. I would not use them again. It's like the owner & the driver/ moving crew are different company. read more

Movers I originally hired cancelled on me 20 minutes after they were supposed to show up on a Saturday. After calling around over 6 moving companies in the area, ACES called me and said they could have a team out that day. 3 men showed up and finished our complete 3 bedroom home move plus emptying out a storage unit in exactly 4 hours. I could not be happier with my move. Called a few weeks in advance to schedule a planned move from an apartment to a condo I purchased here in Palm Springs. They arrived right on time; disassembled and reassembled furniture; moved up and down stairs without complaint; and were pleasant and cracking jokes throughout the move. Move was completed in 5 hours; the three movers were amazingly fast. I feel like I got great value for my money. We hired Aces based on the recommendation of the manager of the storage facility we used, and their quote was best and fastest for a non-shared, inter-state load. The big companies can out bid them but as we learned with a recent in-town move, they certainly can't out service the local guys. The Aces crew were great! Of course we weren't there in the desert to see how the load in went but it was just from a storage unit. All our belongings arrived in prefect condition. They kept us updated as to their arrival time and jumped right in, even granting our request to move some things around here before unloading the truck. And they were efficient! Tiffany in the front office was really great in communication, scheduling, and follow-ups. They were also upfront about the costs. On the day of the move, the guys arrived early. So, we started right away. William and Eric was really fast, but efficient. They were conscientious and moved our stuff with care. They reassembled our bed frames and some furnitures without supervision. We finished early as expected. We had no problems whatsoever and would gladly recommend them to anyone! The movers, Jimmy and Johnathan kept in touch with my throughout the day from one job to the next prior to their arrival. Now, that is great communication. The two movers showed up ready to work and the truck was big enough for a big move. They were courteous, and they were quick. We had everything ready when they arrived. They got us in and out. Even though they had to move our things in upstairs, these guys had a system that worked beautifully. These guys work great together. I got in on the $40 for $100 worth of services Yelp Special. Robert and Phillip were the best. They checked in as the dispatch, Tiffany said they would. They arrived on time. And worked their butts iff. Of course one of the hottest days, with smoke in the air, they trudged along and got everything packed and unpacked in the 2 hour minimum. Another company has a 3 hour minimum and with the small amount of things to move, 3 hours were excessive. These guys were really friendly and I trusted them right from the start. Even before they were even finished, my roommate says that I need to give her their info so she can move her stuff out of storage too. I have to say the hourly rate was fair, the $100/$40 voucher was even a sweeter deal. I definitely recommend this company and these guys. As hot as it was, they made the time go by quickly and it didn't seem like such a chore. read more

I called other movers before I called Aces. Either their price per hour was ridiculous. Or they wanted a 3-hour minimum. I didn't have that much to move. But because I have a hernia, I knew there was no way I could do it by myself. I called and spoke to Tiffany. They only charged by the hour. . .SOLD!! She called me the day before to confirm the pickup time. Robert & Shannon were a few minutes early (not complaining). Besides the furniture, I had everything boxed up. They broke down my bed, moved the furniture/boxes and set up my bed, etc. in my new apartment in less than 2 hours. I know this company is good because one of my former neighbors was using them the next day. If you want affordable & efficient, look no further. read more

If we could give 0 stars we would. As you all know, moving is stressful. So to line up an appointment to see if a mover can do your move and be stood up is very frustrating. That is what Aces has done to us. We had set an appointment up several days ago for 3:00 today. It is now almost 5:00, no call, no one showed up. Warning to all that trust a business to follow through on their appointments, this is not the one to use. Definitely not recommended. read more

A few weeks before our household move, I scheduled Aces Moving Pros with Tiffany for February 23rd at 9am. I called on February 22nd to confirm, and Tiffany confirmed with me but asked could they come earlier as they had a very full day - and I said yes so they were scheduled to arrive at 8:am. Because of their full day, the day of the move I left a message at 7:30am and told them they could come, we were ready. At 8:30am, I called asking where the movers were and spoke again to Tiffany, She said she would find out and call me back. A few minutes later she called back to say their truck broke down and the other truck was in Indio, and they only have 2 trucks. She said that they had been working on the truck trying to get it to work. They didn't know when they could come, maybe the afternoon. I get it - things happen - trucks break down - people don't show up - etc. but APPARENTLY NO ONE THOUGHT THE CUSTOMER SHOULD KNOW, NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL - INEXCUSABLE! My one star is for Tiffany, who did everything right, she was gracious and professional from the beginning to the end. By the way, I purchased a $100 Yelp deal, so have now contacted Yelp to see how I get refunded. Well, as you probably know, during a move - everything has been scheduled, appliance deliveries, etc. so not knowing when or if they could come did not go over well. After calling two other movers who were also busy, I was able to secure a move through AA Moving Experts - guess what they were full too but went ahead and rented a truck to make our move possible - now that's service! read more

The company was hired to move furniture and all items from apartment as they were going to rebuild the apartments. The workers were rude and not professional. They broke my dresser mirror and still have not replaced it, sofa and couch was damaged had scratches and tears, my dinning table was cracked and all the items were pretty new, now ruined by this sorry company. Also other people from the other apartments were complaining that they had items missing. I know will have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The owner said he was going to take care of the items and up to this date has not even come by to replace the mirror as stated. Do not waste your time with this company. I obtained three quotes and not only was Aces Moving Pros quote the best but Michael, the owner, was very professional while doing the onsite inventory to prepare the quote. He answered questions and was sincerely interested in any issues I had related to the move. He said as long as I didn't increase the amount of items to be moved or fail to disclose pertinent information like moving to an upstairs location, he guaranteed the rate with no surprise "add-ons" at the time of delivery. The moving team showed up on time and worked quickly and carefully to load my belongings. This was a same day load/unload with a four and a half hour drive to Arizona. Even so, at the end of the day, the unloading went smoothly, the movers were polite throughout the process and made sure everything was where I wanted it before heading back to California.
