"The best dentist out there!!!" As a person with not so perfect teeth I tend to hate the dentist, but I been coming to Acevedo Dental for over a year now and I love it and it feels like family. I saw their ad and the paper and i took a shot and it was one of the best decision for my health and teeth. From the front desk to the back it's always smiles and friendly people. Beware! SCAM!!! Corrupt, terrible, unethical, irresponsible dental practice. Stay away. My housekeeper went for a free consultation with Dr. Acevedo as advertised on Facebook. Dr. Acevedo recommended she get an upper arch replacement, for which she charges $35,000. My housekeeper took out a $23,000 loan two days later to pay for the procedure scheduled six weeks out. The cash from the loan went immediately into the doctor's bank account. My housekeeper then decided to get the procedure done with a different doctor. She tried to cancel the procedure three weeks in advance, but the office would not allow her to cancel without forfeiting all the cash that they had already received. She had to go back in person to the office multiple times and beg to get any refund. Ultimately, they did no dental work. One of the two crediting agencies, lending club, was able to get them to refund most of the money. Cherry lending, however, is not able to help in these cases. It was a terrible ordeal. After three trips, and several phone calls, the office returned most of $23,000-- but they made her sign a document allowing them to keep $2000- at first calling the $2000 charge a diagnostic fee then changing the paperwork to call it a cancellation fee. They did no dental work on her at all. They didn't even have molds made or anything. They only took x-rays, which she paid cash for. And they kept her money! This is outrageous. No one should ever go here. Be careful. They are not trustworthy. They just take advantage of vulnerable people to steal their money. They are now under review by the California dental board. The crediting agencies are also on notice regarding their unethical business practices. Abigail subsequently went to a different doctor who carefully monitored her blood sugar levels and did not perform the procedure for a full year until they were low enough to support a stable recovery process. She now has her implants and a healthy mouth. Dr. Acavedo is out for $$$$ and promoting herself on social media. She is not in the business of responsible medical care. read more

Not the best customer service. I feel that I was overcharged and ended up paying about $800 just for a cleaning and X-rays, even with insurance. At first, they gave me a quote for $1,800 out of pocket, which I never agreed to. Despite that, they went ahead and charged my credit card anyway. I had to schedule multiple appointments with the billing and coding representative to get the issue corrected, which wasted both my time and money. The cleaning was done by a dental hygienist instead of the dentist, and my teeth didn't feel as clean as I expected afterward. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. I see this place has amazing reviews on yelp so I switched to them since they were close to my home and I was tired of driving over an hour for a dental appointment. As soon as I met with the dentist I felt uncomfortable because she came in and spoke to me in an annoyed and moody way. I was told I had 6 cavities and needed a root canal. This shocked me because just a few months ago I had gone to a check up at my old dental office and everything was perfectly fine not one single cavity . They sat me down in an office and gave me a "treatment plan" and price for out of pocket pay that was ridiculous. I then had a gut feeling to get a second opinion so I go back to my old office and dentist there told me I have zero cavities and no root canal was needed. I know some dentists like to lie about cavities for money... but to lie about a root canal is INSANE. If you have positive experiences here then that's great but if it's your first time going here be careful!!!! If I could give zero stars I would! I am now in another state and went to a new dentist and of course they also told me I have 0 cavities and absolutely no need for a root canal! Just goes to show that two other offices proved this to be a lie. read more

Recently, I had to get an implant done, and I got quotes from 3 different dental offices. Not only did Acevedo Dental save me 25% compared to the others, but they were both hospitable and professional! Also, the facility was very clean, and the restrooms were spotless! Brenda, the receptionist, greeted me with a warm smile and was genuinely friendly. When she found out I rode my bike to the office, she actually called the plaza security to keep an eye on my bike! Who does that? I was soooo grateful. Christine , the technician, was also friendly and easy to talk to, as was Dr.Ruiz. They both showed genuine concern for my needs and answered all my questions. Lastly, when it came time to discuss the costs for my procedure, Maria explained everything clearly to me, and I was so happy to hear how much I was saving. I had a filling fall out yesterday. They were able to see me today. Super convenient. The cost for the consultation/exam and xrays was less than I expected. Very reasonable. I didnt wait long to get my xrays done and only a couple minutes to see the dentist. I have TMJ / jaw issues and they were very considerate about it. read more

I had a really positive experience at this office. My first persons of contact were Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Maria. They were friendly and welcoming. I was a new patient so upon arriving I completed my intake paperwork and shortly after, I was taken to the room for X-rays (which was quick and easy). Shortly after I was taken care of by Dr. De Leon. I haven't seen a dentist in forever so they were honest about the necessary treatment and pricing. Dr. Acevedo is amazing. I had tooth that needed immediate extraction. The pain was intolerable. I was taking advil, tylenol, motrin, naproxen... Anything I thought would help. I was really trying to avoid going to the dentist, like most people. But this needed medical attention nothing was taking the pain away. Finally I called, I was able to set up an appointment asap. Dr. Acevedo explained what was going on and did the procedure. The extraction was painless compared to the pain. Dr. Was so attentive after the procedure, she checked in to make sure I was doing good. I'm so happy and pain free. I do not have insurance they did not take advantage and the price was reasonable. =) read more

I have never been to this office but my girlfriend scheduled an initial appointment in hopes to find us a good dentist in the area. This was her experience: "I arrived ten minutes before my appointment at 10:00AM so I could fill out any paperwork. The office is nice and the receptionist was nice. Once I turned in my paperwork the receptionist advised that she was waiting on my insurance to fax her about my benefits, mind you I provided my insurance contact information more than a week prior when I scheduled my appointment. While we were waiting for this fax two people who had arrived after me were called into the examination area. I finally was taken into an exam room at 10:45. After a couple minutes someone came in to take my X-rays. This took about ten minutes. Once we were done I was told the doctor would be notified and would be in shortly. Twenty-five minutes pass and I have now been at this office for an hour and thirty five minutes; my appointment was at 10:00AM. By this time I'm thinking the doctor already has patients that were scheduled for 11:00AM and I will never get seen. So I left." I have been dealing with this dental office for over a month and a half from my first appointment to have a toothache on my wisdom tooth checked out and following week had two top wisdom teeth pulled with what I now know was not good practice of local sedation because I felt most of it compared to my experience where I had the remaining two wisdom teeth taken out at another dental office where I did not feel a thing not even the so called " you're going to feel some pressure". This dental office has wasted my time over a month span rescheduling me because there oral surgeon was unavailable and wanted me to wait another to weeks to see him, even though the procedure was already paid in full they could not keep the appointment . Very unprofessional if I were to cancel the appointment six hours before the appointment they would charge me a fee but do you think they were gonna give me a discount for canceling on me twice and wasting my time NO!! Also come to find that they really jack up the price !!!!!!! My bottom two wisdom teeth were the more difficult teeth to be remove and the other dental office did it for fraction of what it costs here. I'm very disappointed with this place. I will not return. It is very unprofessional to waste a clients time too, I don't think they understand or care about that. read more

Completed a deep cleaning at this office. Since I moved back to Arizona I asked if I can have my records emailed to my doctor here they said that I Would have to pay 35 dollars to have them emailed!!! That is ridiculous, those are my records and why do I have to pay to have them. They said that I can come out there and get a copy which is not digital. As I had told them I moved back and they want me to pay to get my records!! read more
