Nic is simply the best personal trainer I've ever worked with in over 3 decades. Physical--Nic has really helped me "re-find" my movements again after a number of surgeries and other medical procedures that left me sedentary and fairly immobile. Nic carefully evaluated and established a baseline status for me and then worked from there to help me regain my stamina and mobility. He pushed me out of my comfort zone but never overwhelmed me. In fact, his encouragement helped me do reps of stances that often surprised me with what I could do!! Mental--Nic has really helped me regain a belief in my body and its beauty and capabilities. I'm in the middle of my life and, before working with Nic, I thought I just had to accept the limitations I had from the earlier wear and tear on my body. But Nic would not let me limit myself and I am so, so grateful for that. Nic has never seen me as a middle-aged, frumpy person. He has shown me that I am a strong, confident warrior. This is a real gift that Nic has. Successes--I can now, again, take 2 stairs at a time. I can do a bear crawl, Turkish get up, pistol squat, and band pull up---things I could NEVER do when I was younger even before my surgeries. That amazed me and really proved to me that I am a strong and capable athlete. I am also riding my bike again---for more than a couple of miles. My last bike ride was nearly 20 miles and I'm currently planning to do a 30-40 mile ride in the spring. I can squat to play with my dog and get up and down from the floor without the help of furniture. My dog thinks I'm amazing! I am so grateful to Nic for HELPING me to rediscover my mobile, strong, capable self. Nic knows human anatomy but he also works hard to understand the person he's working with and helps them from where they are including thru fears, myths and other limiting thoughts that we use to hold ourselves back. Nic is especially effective using online tools to communicate. I didn't believe I could use a personal trainer via the web but Nic proved that wrong in one session. I continue to work with Nic because I am so much better off because of him. I encourage anyone who wants to get started becoming a better, more mobile human to give Nic a try. My asthma had flared up really bad and caused me to go to the emergency room and miss 3 months of work. I had never had a major issue with my asthma and was at a loss on what to do. Nicolas laid out a detailed plan on how to get me breathing better again. He had me get a Food and Environmental Test Panel to see what was going on. After that he set me up on a great anti inflammatory meal plan and explained in detail when and why I needed to eat certain foods. After about 2 weeks of closely following his meal plans my breathing got better and better and I was able to go back to work without any problems. Everyone was so friendly, and there were so many people attending from all age groups, women and men. I thought that was awesome! The yoga instructor was very supportive and her voice was so soothing. You can tell they care and I heard they always have great instructors felt so amazing and it was my friend's first time doing yoga and he loved it.
