The inside of my chicken kebab was straight up raw. I had a few bites before I realized. When I told the staff, she acknowledged that it was undercooked, and that it should've been cooked longer, and she said "sorry." One of the people in my party ordered the same thing and ate it all, and he also noticed that it was kind of soft and pinkish, but didn't give it as much thought. This is so careless and irresponsible. Ambiance was nice. Bad food choice.

Achar is amazing quality!! I tried their chicken wrap and it was the perfect meal after doing hot yoga. Lean chicken, fresh grilled crunchy pepper inside, and buttery parantha as a wrap. Definitely didn't expect a wrap like that and I'm impressed! I really wanted to try their Burmese noodles but they ran out which must mean they're SUPER good. So I have to come back to try them. They have a rice pudding style dessert made with cream and a rum like essence (non alcoholic). It's delightfully sweet and unique.

Excellent South Asian restaurant within the downtown Julia & Henry Food Hall. I have had the Chicken Kebab Bowl twice now and it is extremely tasty and healthy. Chicken kebab comes on a skewer with tomatoes and onions along with rice, cauliflower and delicious spices. Reasonably priced as well.

4 stars for amazing quality and authenticity. The beef quebab was delicious and fresh. No complaints whatsoever. The tandoori was just superb! It just added that nice kick and flavor to my taste buds! Delicous is all I can say. Very authentic and truly middle Eastern flavors all captured here. Pricey but SO worth it. I honestly would like to eat a tandoori just by itself.

We were excited to try the new Julia &Henry food hall and we were not disappointed. Our last stop on food tour took us to the 3rd floor. Achar's is the first place to greet you when you make it up the stairs. Walking over I could see some of the dishes and knew I wanted to try it. We ordered the chick pea salad with the beef kebab and a prantha. The salad was so delicious, it was refreshing with the yogurt dressing and all the ingredients were so tasty. The beef kebab was seasoned well and super tender. The prantha was very good and crispy. It was a great vibe on a Thursday evening with music playing in the background with a dj. It was a great date night and I can't wait to come back!

Salad was light and refreshing. The kabob was tender and not dry at all. Will definitely return.

They served me 100% raw food. I ordered chicken for pick up and it came back RAW. Not slightly undercooked but absolutely RAW.

Burmese noodles - cold, broken & slimy noodles. NOT RECOMMENDED.

But truly, it's that kind of excitement and life that allows a place like KYU to thrive. People want to be where the action is, and in terms of food - this is there the action is. We had the Chef's Special, and every single serving that was brought to us was a 5/5 experience! Our waitress was attentive and personal, without any sense of lingering or hovering at all. The staff did a good job of dealing with some of the rowdier patrons, and it was clear that this was not the norm, but some people looking for trouble with a bit too much of something in their system. Even with reservations they were a little slow in seating for a fairly empty restaurant (noon). Ordered drinks (tea $6 and coffee $5) then brunch. Seems like service coordination is very off. My spouse got the appetizer a good 15 minutes before mine. I had the biscuit, that was very tasty. The fruit, granola yogurt was good too. The main of crab Benedict was served, next although already cooled and the sauce a congealed. My main, after a good 30 minutes still had not arrived. Apparently a steak and eggs can be miscooked and they had redone it, never bothering to tell us. I did not try it there. Refills on the coffee were never offered. We took the steak and our cinnamon buns to go since we had been there long enough. The final kicker is they have an automatic 20% service charge in order to ensure the staff is paid enough. Seems like a business problem to me. Service was not up to that high of a standard. If you go during Miami Spice I hope they have figured out how to sequence the courses and get them to the table correctly while still hot.

Nestled in the heart of Brickell, the sprawling three-story space featuring illuminated treehouse nests, lush greenery, and ambient lighting sets a dramatic stage for an unforgettable night out. The service was electric and flawlessly polished, delivering attentive care despite the high energy atmosphere. The Korean Fried Chicken delivered an addictively crunchy bite, and the decadent King Crab Lo Mein perfectly rounded out an exquisite feast.

Mediocre Food, Insultingly Small Portions and Poor Service…read more Unfortunately, Komodo was a major disappointment. The food was mediocre--especially for a Miami Spice menu--and nowhere near the upscale experience we expected. After spending almost $400 for my husband and I, I would have expected more. The portions were insultingly tiny, with the exception of the chicken salad. The salmon tacos contained what tasted like salmon "paste," and each taco shell was barely two inches long. They were so ridiculously small that even our waiter chuckled. The "half Maine lobster" was about the size of a jumbo shrimp, with no claw. The main course came with no sides so for $65 jumbo shrimp that was it. If you actually want a meal expect to pay extra for "fried" rice that was super bland and churrasco 10 oz extra at $12. So my steak meal was $87 and for that I could have had a real upscale experience at Daniel's in the Gables with upscale service and food. The experience started poorly when the four of us were seated at an awkward, cramped table with no legroom. We were positioned facing outward instead of toward one another, making normal conversation nearly impossible. It was a very strange setup for a party of four. Also, it was very warm in the restaurant and I would have asked to adjust but at the look at the servers face and everyone else I was afraid to say anything that something would happen to my food. The hostess also forgot to give us the Miami Spice menu. As soon as we requested it, the waiter's attitude noticeably changed, and the service went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the restaurant was overcrowded, with a very young crowd pouring into the bar area, and everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. Miami Spice used to be a wonderful way to experience Miami's better restaurants. Unfortunately, this felt more like a complete rip-off than a special dining experience. Komodo did not deliver the quality, portions, service or atmosphere its prices and reputation suggest. They should not be participating in Miami Spice as they have no upscale food to offer. My only regret is I didn't take pictures for potential customers to see how terrible this experience was and food looked. This was highly disappointing,,,save your money.

The food was still great, but after today's experience, I'll definitely be paying much closer attention to how my drinks are prepared. When we made our reservation, we also asked for a table with a good view of the show, and they accommodated us with a fantastic front-row view from one of the couches. It was so much better than our previous visit, when we were trying to peer around a pillar and across the restaurant to see the performance. If seeing the show is important to you, I definitely recommend requesting a table with a good view when you make your reservation. Before the show the DJ plays music. The volume was at a good level, loud enough to be fun but soft enough to be able to hear each other talk. Although the restaurant initially feels like an indoor space, the central courtyard is actually open-air with overhead coverings, so there is plenty of fresh air while still feeling sheltered. Tall palm trees, pools of water, couches, and traditional dining tables create a beautiful and distinctive atmosphere. Overhead fans kept the temperature surprisingly comfortable despite the Miami heat. For Miami Spice, we had the tuna tacos, miso branzino, and Milk Tea for dessert -- jasmine green tea crème brûlée with honey tea jelly and lychee sorbet. The ambiance was incredible. It is outdoors so you will need to prepare for the elements. We also had live music while we were there. I'm assuming she was the manager who was directing other staff to "get these people out of here" to our table and the surrounding tables next to us.
