Brownie is more like a cake texture than fudgy but I enjoyed it and didn't mind the huge piece they gave me lol. It also came with two halves to my sandwich pictured but I had already ate one before I snapped a photo ! Came at around dinner time on a Tuesday and it was a pleasant laid-back atmosphere. Came out to $18.61 total and I also had a tea.

But since I wasn't in the mood to drive I decided to go to the Quaker Village location. Oh how I wished I had driven out the Regional Rd location. Since it was shortly after 7:00 pm, I had my choice of several tables. I took my seat and waited for several minutes before a serve brought me a menu and flatware and told me that she thought another server would be taking my order. But she asked what I wanted to drink and got it for me. Since I knew what I was going to order I just sat and waited for the other server to come and take my order. I don't know where he was but the place was not very busy. He finally came after about 5 minutes and took my order. Because they were not busy it was quiet and it appeared that they kept everything cleaned up. The food was good and was delivered while it was still hot. I had also given my server my name for the frequent diner card and he wrote it down. However, when he gave a couple sitting in the next booth to me their bill it had my frequent diner info on there bill instead of there's. It took the manager to correct it. Then when my bill came it didn't have my frequent diner info on it so the server had to go back and correct things. I am assuming that this server is new and needs to be trained better with supervision. But I learned my lesson and will make the additional six mile trip to go to the Regional Rd location in the future.

From the moment we were seated, our server, Amanda, appeared unhappy that we had been placed in her section and openly complained about it. As a guest, that's not something customers should ever hear. Throughout the meal, the service continued to be less than professional. At one point, Amanda reached across me to refill my coffee without asking, even though I didn't need a refill. A simple, "May I top off your coffee?" would have been a much more courteous and professional approach. The biggest issue, however, involved my order. I specifically ordered biscuits with gravy on top, which carries a stated 50-cent upcharge. Instead, Amanda entered the order in a way that resulted in the gravy being served on the side, creating an additional $2 charge rather than the advertised 50-cent upcharge. When I questioned the charge at the register, I explained that I had ordered the gravy on top. The cashier acknowledged that ordering it that way should have resulted in only the 50-cent upcharge. Despite that, there was no attempt to correct the bill, offer an apology, or make the situation right. I was simply expected to pay the higher amount. The extra $1.50 wasn't really the issue it was the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. Mistakes happen in every restaurant, but great customer service is measured by how those mistakes are handled. I am typically a very generous tipper and enjoy rewarding excellent service. Unfortunately, the combination of Amanda's attitude, the intrusive coffee refill, the incorrect order, and the complete lack of resolution left me with no confidence in the experience. For the first time in a very long time, I left no tip. I hope management uses this feedback as an opportunity to coach Amanda and the rest of the staff on professionalism, hospitality, and empowering employees to resolve simple customer concerns before they become reasons customers choose not to return.

Kudos to the chef. Only negative is they offer a whipped spread instead of real butter. Delicious pancakes deserve good butter. I asked for real butter and all they had was honey butter. Do not sleep on asking for it. While it still spread, the honey makes it much better.

When we pulled up, there was a police outside, which didn't bother us. If anything, it made things feel more secure. They also use a metal detector when you walk in before being seated. Don't let that scare you off though -- this place is a well-oiled machine and everything felt organized and under control. Our server was fantastic: calm, attentive, and never pushy. I ordered the country fried steak with collards and mashed potatoes with gravy, and my husband got a burger. My meal was excellent, and it came with a perfectly flaky biscuit. The tea was Southern SWEET tea, too. My husband said his burger was good for a diner, fresh vegetables and the fries were seasoned well. The diner itself is adorable, full of character and charm. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely come back.

My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, it was huge! For a side she had the sweet potato tots. She let me steal a bite of both and yum! I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!
