TLDR; This will be the best dentist you've ever gone to. Realistic and honest with pain expectations and necessary procedures. Like most places of profession that are at the top of their field, it's not that easy to get fast appointments, so call or go in ahead of time to book one. Definitely worth giving them a chance. There's a reason they've been in business for so long while atleast a dozen other dentists have come and gone right across the street from them over the years. Long version; This dentist has been here forever! And they prove why everytime I visit. Everyone I interact with here is very professional and kind. They realize that we're there most likely for something uncomfortable and stressful. The thing I LOVE about this place is that they're very realistic with pain expectations. They tell me if it's going to hurt and offer to give extra numbing. They also tell me if the pain is going to be minimal and offer to do fillings and other procedures without numbing if it's not necessary. Other places I've been to while out of state have my entire face numb for a whole day just for a little painless drilling. My insurance handles most of the costs and this is the only place I've been going to for 10 years so I'm unsure how the pricing compares. I've never waited more than 10 minutes from when the appointment time has me coming in. Nothing worse than waiting forever in anxiety to get a tooth pulled! I've seen a few dentists come and go from this place, but Dr Tan(I think the owner) has been there and is always super gentle and definitely knows what he's doing. Finding an honest dentist is like finding an honest mechanic. You'll never pay for or end up fixing something that you didn't need fixed. There's a new younger guy, Dr Nick, who started working here recently. I think it might even be Dr Tan's son?? Luckily he's following well in his father's(?) footsteps. Super gentle and, once again, realistic about the pain. He's done some dental work for me the last time I've been there and it's actually pretty nice having a younger dentist. Makes it a little easier to talk to and explain fully what the problem is and vice versa with the info he gives being very clear. I only trust Dr. Tan with ALL my dental works. Customer service and their honesty is what I truly appreciate about this place. I regret putting my trust in a different dental in Los Angeles (Ktown). The 40 mins of driving does not bother me at all - knowing I'm in great hands. My mom has been coming here over 20+ years and I have made a HUGE mistake in NOT giving ACE a try. (Now I know!) Absolute horrible experience at this dental office. I took my father in to see Dr. Tsai-Hua Tan about his implant. A friend referred Dr. Tan to me. Receptionists were rushed and not attentive. Customer service was the worst. Dr. Tan came in and also rushed in his consultation. He did not seem to care a lot about what we would like to do with the implant since his office was not handling it. We were rushed out to the receptionist area and my father wanted to ask a question yet the receptionist was rude and told us to just pay for the fee $50. If I can give zero star for this office I would. I am sure there are other offices that can do better what we experienced today at this office. Stay away!!! read more

This is the best dentist i have ever been to! I got braces for the second time here and they did a wonderful job. Not to mention the two root canals. I actually just left with my second root canal and the doctor is wayyy gentle than the other dentist i use to go to. The assistants are always smiley and fun to talk to. I would rather spend my money here, where I will be guaranteed a great job, friendly people, and a gentle doc. But just a heads up~ Obviously, this is their career and just see teeth day in and day out, but if you strike up a good convo, they are super duper friendly and make you feel very comfy. So maybe others wont have the same experience as I do, but then again, do you guys try to reach out to know them as more than just a dentist? Either way, this place feels like home and honestly? After I went to different dentist for cavities, I visited Dr. Tan(ACE dentistry) for second opinion and He said I do have only one small cavity. Since then I keep having regular check ups and he said I do not have any. But He was wrong, I had so many cavities. Now, I lost my teeth and I had to have root canal also. He tried to do root canal for my teeth suddenly short after he keep saying I do not have any cavities. After he tried to do root canal, I had miserable pain with nose bleeding and I was fainted. I could not hear because of infection.(left ear) I had to find different dentist quickly. I can not imagine if I stayed Dr. Tan's. I can not believe He ignore all of my cavities for long time.(all the regular check ups). I had to spend more than $7,000 for now(not include insurance) and I lost many teeth the result of trusting him. And this year I have to spend more money and have more pains. I'm with my regular dentist Dr.Chan for over 25 years. The main reason is that he is honest. Last month (April 2021), he told me that it's time to do the implant for #2 & #3 tooth (which he mentioned years ago). And he gave me a referral to see a specialist. Instead to seeing the referred specialist, I went to see Dr.Tan because of my friend's recommendation. When checked in, the front desk took long time to find out who made the referral (I really don't see the point) After taking the X-ray, Dr. Tan said I have 8 teeth need extraction and do the implant. I was shocked and thought why my regular doctor said there are only 2? Dr.Tan recommends extracting all 8 teeth the same time. Then the assistance came to talk about the fee. She said because all 8 teeth being extracted, I need 2 sets of temporary teeth. Each set $600 which for some BS reason should not claim the insurance. She will give me 10% off. I asked what about the fee for implant, graft, crowns. She said she can't give me the price, because she doesn't know how much the insurance company will approve. So their plan is to extract all my 8 (really??? not 2?) teeth, pay cash in advance for the 2 sets of temporary teeth, then talk about the fee for implant later on. If I could give this place no stars that's how bad they are with customer service. They don't know how to multi task for one and even when they try to they are horrible at it. If you can't multi task don't do it. Focus on one patient at a time. I made not one but two trips to this dentist for my grandmother and they could have told me last week that they don't do dentures anymore but instead just made the appointment. Then I go today and now they tell me they don't do dentures. Wow. Your front staff are unorganized and don't know how to prioritize. And teach you're staff better manners and how to provide customer service because obviously now it's all about patient satisfaction. You're staff fail at satisfaction. read more

I think Christine J has another dentistry mixed up with this place; the place doesn't have a smell at all. And if she flossed everyday, then maybe her teeth wouldn't be bleeding so much during cleaning. Anyways, the place is nice. I always make an appointment and I never had to wait, so they're very punctual. I had to have a couple of teethes removed, the doctor gave me one or two shots (sometimes more if I said I still felt some pain). The process was long, but almost painless (keeping your mouth open for a while hurts the jaws, not really the dentist's fault). They removed my tooth and I'm going in often for regular checkups. Price is competitive, not bad at all. The dentist is nice and the dental assistants are very caring and hard working as well. read more

Went here to get my two wisdom teeth removed. I was dreading the pain since everyone around me told me how painful it is to get them removed, and getting two removed in the same day was horrifying. I went in after setting an appointment and a nice lady told me to sign in and wait for a few minutes. I was scared out of my mind but the place had a very calm vibe to it. Not one of those cold and scary waiting areas of other dentists I've been to. Grabbed a magazine (which they have a huge collection of by the way!) and waited a few minutes and I was called in to finally get the deed done. I got Dr. Tan as my dentist, who seems to be the owner. I am not too sure if there were multiple dentists that work there but I would definitely recommend Dr. Tan. He was very easy going and was very kind. He told me what needed to be done by showing me on the x-ray on how my wisdom teeth were growing sideways and that I needed to take them out before damage to my teeth were done. He already told me previously so it was nothing new to me but it was nice having the complete rundown of what was going on. I got numbed and then after about 20 minutes he proceeded with the surgery. It was not painful at all. I don't know if the pain depends on each person or if it was Dr. Tan's skill but I went through the whole surgery without breaking a sweat. Dr. Tan talked to me through what was going on step by step and told me to raise my hand if there was any pain, which there wasn't thankfully. After the surgery he prescribed me to my pain meds and antibiotics, etc etc. The usual post surgery talk on what I cannot eat. Overall a great dentist trip considering the surgery I had to take and would definitely recommend Dr. Tan. read more
