I have used Action appliance several times for repairs on my appliances. They are always on time. The technicians they send are fantastic. I have been very pleased. Lindsay in the office is the best. She always gets me an appointment that works with my schedule and tried to help me with ideas that I could try before they came out! Wayne came out this time to repair my big freezer. Absolutely the worst place to buy appliances , I just bought a dishwasher to complete a remodel I just did and it had a bad seal around the door and flooded the entire kitchen and caused major damage . This place is terrible I will never use again. And they even left a fake bad review on my contracting business because of the bad review I left. So weird it's the only bad review on my yelp page . Your understanding of the term "forthright" is skewed. 1. Defrosting the fridge was only mentioned because we were not ready to move forward with a $400 control board. 2. Low freon and bad compressor were NEVER mentioned at the first service call. 3. At the second service call, we were told it is not the control board ($377), but a compressor ("Only $100 more", as you put it), and possibly low Freon ($200!!!). Had you actually moved the refrigerator and looked in the back at the initial service call we would not be having this conversation. 4. This is a case of poor service and you blatantly tried to take advantage of us. Good day to you Sir! read more

We have bought a few parts here over the years and decided to buy a dryer here. We bought one from scratch and dent and unfortunately it caused awful wrinkles... everything unwearable. They sent out repair person 2 times and tried to fix it. Then bc it was determined it was a rare flaw they let us swap out and apply $ towards a new model. It wasn't perfect the first time, but the staff treated us well and now we have a dryer we are VERY happy with. Can't ask for more. Will stay a customer for sure. read more

I found the person that I talked to was not willing to listen to what I had to say. She kept talking over me with a canned response to my questions about dishwasher repair. After a couple of phone calls with her I found a repair service that was able to take care of my needs for a $50 less initial service fee, and they will apply that to the cost of the repair or parts. My 15 year old refrigerator needed repair and I did not trust the repairman a local appliance store sent out. My in-laws in Temecula have always raved about the great appliances and repairmen at Action Appliance, so I called to see if they service Hemet. They do! Action Appliance sent their repairman who was a total professional. He actually tested parts before recommending replacement (unlike the local guy)! My husband and I felt we could trust his expertise and recommendations. The repairs COST LE$$ because he didn't recommend replacement of things that weren't broken! He also had parts with him, so we wouldn't have to wait for him to order it and have him come back later. In addition Action Appliance warranty their labor and parts. Just had a new microwave installed this morning. That wasn't the problem. The installer did not cover my stove or countertop when he did the modifications for the install and he left sawdust, chips of wood and shavings, nails and other crap all over the counters and floor! At the advice of another service center that realized my refrigerator's issue required an authorized service company, I called Action and they came out the next day, Saturday, as promised. They confirmed that I needed a new control module, and said it needed to be ordered on Monday, should come in Tuesday, and at my request, they put me on the schedule for Wednesday, even though the part wasn't yet in. I called Tuesday, they confirmed the part came in, and confirmed my Wednesday appointment. The technician came Wednesday as-scheduled, replaced the part, cleaned up after himself, waited about 10 min. for the fridge to reset itself to confirm the new part was working, and left after charging me a fair price for the service. They didn't misdiagnose the problem. They didn't order or sell me unnecessary or used parts. They didn't overcharge me. They didn't lie to me. And they didn't put me in a position where I had to buy a new fridge or replace the food in my fridge. Five stars. Six. read more

After the internet failed us, my fiancé and I came here looking for a replacement part for our dryer. Marcella was extremely knowledgeable from the get go. Instead of taking advantage of our situation, she walked us through a process of elimination to figure out what was wrong with our dryer so that we could avoid spending money on parts we didn't need. Leaving without having to buy anything, we went home, tried exactly what she suggested, and were able to fix the dryer. Our french door refrigerator/freezer failed this week with no prior notice. After removing most perishables and transferring them to ice chests we called Action Appliance. We had purchased a washer and dryer from them last year and had used them in the past for appliance repairs. We were given an estimated time of 12-4 PM on the same day of the call for a technician to arrive. At 12 PM sharp Andrew arrived. Within minutes he had diagnosed the problem as a failed compressor. He had brought one with him and immediately started the repairs. Since this make of refrigerator had numerous compressor issues we were only charged for the service call. Andrew performed in a very professional, courteous and competent manner. I would not hesitate to call Action Appliance in the future for any major appliance purchased or repair needs. The salesman was very knowledgeable and pointed out any and all dents which were only on the sides so we have a wonderful stove at a great price. I thought I was going to order a new one from my favorite warehouse store, but they couldn't deliver one for a week. Technician Andrew was sent out to fix my Whirlpool fridge. He initially had a hard time diagnosing the problem but after a few attempts got it figured out. It was a problem neither he or his fellow technicians had ever seen before . Anyway, a long story short Andrew came out multiple times without charging a service call each time. We have made several purchases at Action Appliance over the last 25 years. As our children grew up and got married, they have also made several purchases over the years. Items we've collectively purchased include refrigerators, microwave, washers, dryers, dishwashers and ovens. The quality, longevity and price have never disappointed. Last week we went in and spoke with Colby. Colby spoke with us for an extended period of time "educating" us on the types of new washing machines as compared with our needs. Our machine is now 16+ years old. We are debating whether or not to have it repaired. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and courteous. We had a lot of questions. Action is by far the most knowledgeable in the area. Over time we have conversed with several employees. I received the worst possible service from Action Appliance. They were sent out by my warranty company to fix my range and dishwasher. I have had them out 2 times for service. The first time the tech came out and said he didn't have order to look at the dishwasher . He looked at my oven and and mumbled something and left. I called the store and they said he ordered a part. Action made a couple more service appointments, and then called and cancelled them. They finally showed up today to fix both appliances . The tech was very rude. He refused to listen to the problems I was having with the appliances. He complained about having to do anything. He did one thing to my oven, not telling what he did. I asked him about the other problems with the appliances. He got mad. He went outside and called his boss. He. came back in and said he leaving. I asked if he was going to look at the dishwasher. He said " Nope I am busy and you are just a warranty issue." He said he had 7 more calls to do and his boss told him to leave. And he just left. I contacted the store manager "Mike" and he said he had told the tech to leave and that he would send out another tech later. I declined because I had already sat around all morning and didn't want to sit around all afternoon. I told him I was so going Yelp him. So Mike consider yourself Yelped. read more

The tech that came to my home to repair my dishwasher, was great... I wish I could recall his name.. not sure, but I think it was Joe... anyway... great guy, polite, professional, and it was obvious he knew what he was doing! He got the problem figured out quickly, took care of it and I was thrilled. The tech was a pretty smart guy, we chatted about politics, and even though we have different ideas, he was open to hearing my ideas, as I am always open to hearing all ideas. The only thing I have to admit I didn't care for... when the tech was finished with my dishwasher... before I had a chance to say a word, he opened my new 4,500$ refrigerator and stuck a sticker on the inside of the door without me having an opportunity to stop him from doing so. I thought he had a magnet... not a sticker. Urggg... All in all, this won't stop me from using "Action Appliance" again. Oh! The lady I dealt with on the phone to set up the repair appointment with, was also really exceptional. The only reason I give four stars is because of the sticker. What a ripoff. I have lived here 19 years and have never been here because I heard they were a ripoff. On a whim, I pulled in as I needed a simple set of 6 knobs for my JenAir range. They wanted to charge me $24 each! They did say that there were some "Chinese made knobs that wouold fit, but they did not recommend them. Thise were $12." Knowing that any good search engine will find an on line dealer, I went home. Bam! SEARS (Yes, Sears)...had the Manafacturer's Originals for $7.49 each. I am guessing that Action Maytag Home Appliance Center was counting on me to pay rent. Nope. They were "shocked" when I left without buying anything. Everyone who warned me was right. read more

Absolutely the best appliance store I've visited. The service is fantastic. On my first visit I stopped by to purchase a part to service my dryer. After talking with one of the girls at the front desk, it was recommended that I first test a couple of components to verify their operation. After cleaning and testing, the unit fired back on. I went back to ask about the possibility of the components just working intermittently and Colby gave me a cram course on the serviceability of my unit along with a full arsenal of information on newer units. When the time comes to replace my current unit(s), this is where I intend to shop. Not only do they have the sales side of the business covered but the service makes this a one stop shop. My wife even had to help him feed the plug into the socket!! What a rip-off this company is. We even called another company for the exact same repair after the fact, and was quoted about half of what this rip-off company charged us!! read more

This place is wonderful. We bought a washing machine there a few months ago and a dishwasher last night. The washing machine was used and the dishwasher brand new. I was shocked. I had called a few other appliance repair companies and decided to go with action appliance because we have an extended warranty on our refrigerator through Best Buy and I felt like they did a good job. Since we have a warranty I didn't know their billing practices. Our dryer stopped working so we decided to use them because like I said previously they did a good job. The technician came out in a timely manner and diagnosed the problem pretty quick and then the shock came, I was told that the door switch was bad and that he had a used one he could install for $15.99 plus tax and $65.00 for coming to the house and $70.00 for the labor which would have been about 10 minutes total. Most of the other companies had told me that the initial charge would be included in the labor if we have them do the work but this company wanted both to be paid on top of charging me for a USED part. I find this whole thing outrageous and will never use them nor will I ever recommend them. read more

I've been using Action Maytag since they first opened in Temecula. My whole family (parents, cousins, sister) have bought washer and dryer combos here and we will continue to do so. The people that run the place are the nicest and are always helpful in servicing the equipment. Most of the problems we've ever had with anything have been serviced under warranty. We've even bought used washers & dryers for the kids to use while in college and those lasted a long time too. I think some of these one star reviews have to be made up; especially when some of the reviewers only write bad reviews at all locations.
