I read a lot of reviews and I was a little nervous at first, however I worked with two salesmen that both treated me great Roy and Darren. At first there were a few issues with getting me financed with their lenders (mostly just proof of residence as I live with a friend and I do not have any bills in my name) but after sorting that out and spending a total of about two hours at the dealership (in my opinion that is not to long based off past experiences) I finally am about to leave with my m3. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is some other salesman came up to me asking my name and trying to snipe the sale from Roy and Darren, which I didn't appreciate at all. Besides that my experience was good. The showroom is clean and they play r&b type of music and not like trap kind so that was something I really appreciated. Everyone was pretty much nice and my finance manager was efficient with the paperwork, I was only in his office for a short amount of time like 10 minutes which was great. Normally that's the Grind type of part where you get pushed into all these extra warranties and stuff, but with this guy it wasn't. Maybe that's because this is not a new car dealer it is a used dealer and I have never bought from a used dealer before. It caused us to lose jobs and miss out on several potential jobs. They showed no kind of concern or offered any help. These people need to be put out of business. MISREPRESENTATION!!!! the vehicles on the lot do not match the condition has shown online. After driving two hours to the lot to view a truck, we found that the condition was completely opposite from what was expected based on how it was represented online. After looking at several other vehicles, we found food under the seats, rust that wasn't noted, floss picks on the floorboard, and in the bed, etc. It is extremely obvious that all they do is pick up vehicles from auctions and put them directly on the lot without any servicing or cleaning. I bought a truck from Adam's, and less than a week after purchase I began hearing very concerning noises in the steering. I took it to a shop, and they found the entire front end was practically worn out--a $5,700 repair bill--and deemed the truck unsafe to drive. I had purchased a warranty with the vehicle, but the warranty company denied my claim because the truck had just been bought. I then hoped the folks at Adam's would do the right thing and help, but they told me they couldn't because the truck was sold "as is." While that technically makes sense, these issues should absolutely have been caught during their inspection before it ever hit the lot. The salesman made statements about the condition of the vehicle that were untrue. He claimed their mechanic had thoroughly inspected the vehicle and there were no issues. The salesman, Jose would not budge on the price of the vehicle even though when we called to schedule a test drive, it was listed $2,000 lower in price which we had a screenshot of. The day after we purchased, there were 2 puddles under the vehicle. One was a coolant leak and the other was oil. We took the vehicle to a local BMW dealership to have a thorough look. We were surprised to find that someone had filled the coolant system with Stop Leak which caused water pump and heater core to go bad. There was also a major oil leak, and brakes and rotors were bad. When we contacted the dealership, they ghosted us and said "we are on our own" once the vehicle leaves the lot. The extended warranty that the salesman told us would cover "any deficiencies the vehicle had" won't cover much. We have an estimate of $10,000 in repairs less than 1 week from purchase. I crashed my car on a Monday, came by on Tuesday and worked out a deal on 2020 BMW X3 xdrive, which was perfectly priced. The price was so nice i couldn't even bring myself to haggle for a lower price. I drove home with my car after it was cleaned and detailed on Wednesday. I am in town on a work contract and they were able to register the car in my home state, so when I get home i can pick up my plates! I was worried about that since I don't live here. I honestly am very pleased with my experience with this dealership, they have a huge inventory of high end vehicles at prices you can't believe! A nightmare all the way: There was an ad online with a photo of a car I very much wanted, a 2013 Mini Cooper convertible. I came to the dealership 12/27/24 only to discover that this vehicle had very serious damage to the left fender. I claimed false advertising and was told that there is a separate team to "get folks into the showroom" which is not related to the sales team. Still wanting the car, I paid a deposit of $250 to have the car moved to the front of the repair queue. I called almost daily to check on progress. The manager assured me he would check on it and call me back that day three times. He never called me. Finally I was told the car was ready. I drove to Adams (over an hour in heavy traffic) only to be told that it indeed was NOT ready and needed some more work. I was able to take delivery January 13. No one had told me that I would need to pay with a cashiers' check so I had to find a branch of my bank in a strange place, wait on line, and finally got the cashiers' check. February 4 the brake pads needed replacement. Adams did reimburse me for that. On March 22 the check engine light went on. I drove it only as far as the nearest mechanic, about 2 miles. The car barely made it, sputtering and stalling all the way. The car had overheated and blown the head gasket. Repair was over $5000. When I asked Adams for some compensation, they accused me of negligence for driving with the check engine light on and refused to help defray my costs. The engine was entirely rebuilt and took over 2 months due to the challenge of finding parts. The car was done on July 10. I had had enough and decided to sell it to WeBuyAnyCar.com. The inspector who looked over the car noted many many things that had been defective at the time I bought the car. They would only give me $1100 for it and out of caution had it towed away. A hard lesson to learn. Thank God I had yet to sell my late husband's Jeep so I did not have to pay for a rental car. My daughter purchased a car yesterday 3/31 and unfortunately the tire pressure light was illuminated. The sales person Amir said that it was just because the tires were not inflated. Air was added and the lights did not go off . Because the lights were illuminated my daughter wasn't going to buy the car. Amir assured my husband and daughter not to worry about it to bring the car to the person who works on their tires and if there was something wrong with the sensors Adams would cover the cost. My husband immediately brought the car to the tire place and all four sensors were bad . I told the man to call Adams as Amir had advised so that they could set up a time for us to have the sensor replaced. I reached back out to Amir 4/1 and he told me he needed to speak with his manager. I was then told Adams was not going to replace the sensors as promised . My daughter would have NEVER purchased a car for $14,000 with broken sensors . Of course I asked to speak with a manager. Adam Darwich answered the call very rudely told me they never said they would replace the sensors. When my husband asked him how would he have known to take the car to the shop they use for tires he said "I don't know but we are not replacing the sensors" My husband reminded him that it was a verbal agreement and it should be honored . I trusted the word of Amir .Again Adam said they were not going to replace the sensor as promised . My husband asked if he had to get legal representation and Adam hung up on him . I can not believe that they just lied and that they don't care - this was the 2nd car we purchased from them and is the last . The first car purchased the owner was involved in the sale. I wish there was a way to get in touch with him because the son has none of the dad's good qualities. I told Adam we were return customers and he could have cared less telling me how many cars they sell a year . On 7/16/24, I went into the dealership looking for a car. I was by a young man named Brice, one of the salesmen. He was great in helping me with test driving a 2016 BMW x5. I drove the car and loved it and wanted to move forward with purchasing the car. I informed him that I had secured financing and had the check on me from my credit union, Navy Federal. We were getting ready to finalize the purchase when the C.O.O of the company told him to tell me that if they accepted my check from NAVY FEDERAL I would have to wait seven days for the money to be deposited and that I could take the car until the check cleared!! I have never heard of such policies with any dealership! I called to talk to the C.O.O about why I couldn't purchase the car, and he immediately became very condescending and disrespectful in his tone. His first words were, " Let me break this down as simple as I can" As if I was stupid! My Master's Degree would beg to differ! He then began to explain the policy and said the "ball is in your court because I could take it or leave." His whole conversation had a racist and prejudiced undertone! I would tell anyone to stay clear of this company and the C.O.O! I don't remember his name, but he made it clear that he makes the decision for all the locations! You always have the needling feeling that they could do a little better with prices (if they wanted to.) This place is no different. Packed showroom. It was Saturday. Our sales person was professional, energetic, accommodating and friendly. In the end, for us it's coming down to cost and car. I don't make purchases like this based on the "feels." The young seller didn't seem very motivated to sell. Basically If the numbers don't line up there is simply no deal. I am going to drive something. North Tryon St. I went to look a small black on black convertible. It was on a day when they were not busy and I was the only one there. I go in and am greeted nicely by a guy at the door, also greeted by a woman (receptionist?) at the desk who is very nice and am directed to the lone salesman in the room. I tell him I am claustrophobic and would like to see how the car feels. It is sizzling hot outside and that huge asphalt parking lot is like an oven. He asks me to wait and is gone maybe 2 minutes and is back, the car outside under shade with the air on. I go out and sit in it for a few minutes and come back inside to chat. I am not sure about the car but he still gets me a hard copy of the Carfax, "just in case", WITHOUT pressuring me one tiny bit. Super professional, super nice. Illegal business practices In 2018, I went to Adams Auto Group on North Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC and worked with a car salesman named Lorenzo. I purchased a vehicle in November of 2018 for my daughter's 21st birthday. Currently, I am in the market for a car for myself so on December 7, 2022, I visited Adams Auto Group again to see what they had on their lot. I spoke with Lorenzo and informed him that I came I to see what they had. I also informed him that I had my own financing. I did not complete any paperwork, sign any documents or give permission to run my credit. One day later, something said to check my credit. Low and behold, Lorenzo had ran my credit. I had an inquiry on my credit report where he pulled my credit on December 7, 2022. He used my information from 2018 and illegally ran my credit without my permission! I was livid and called the owner, Adam, who after doing some research reached back out to me and informed me that since I did not sign any documents or complete a credit application, the inquiry would be removed. Here it is almost a week and a half later and I checked my credit again and the inquiry is still there. I called back to Adams Auto group on December 22, 2022 and was told that I would now be responsible for getting the inquiry removed!! I am livid! I do not feel like I should be responsible of having to go through the trouble to have an illegal inquiry removed when I never gave Lorenzo permission to run my credit. What a shady unethical individual to do such a thing!! I am contacting the State Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau! What a waste of time!! We are not your typical "bargain buyers" but were looking for a fun vintage weekend truck. A 1986 F150 popped up at this "dealership" so my husband called, got the VIN, ran a CarFax, and made an appointment with a salesman to come look at (and probably buy) today. They were eager to make the sale, used their names, sent the address, etc. We showed up at the dealership 15 min early and were told that Chris did not work there and basically blown off, they looked in the database and determined the truck was at another dealership 15 min away. We headed there to be told that the truck was "garbage" no longer being sold and being "sent back to the auction" with a "tow away" written across the windshield. (It had a Re-Built title) * I made a down payment of $5,000, with an addition $2,000.00 in fees, and believed I was financing $7,000.00 through GM Financial (the financing option offered by the dealer) at an Apr you were told was 8%. * I was told the paperwork would be sent to me - it never was - despite multiple attempts to contact the dealer and receive it. * I made regular payments for approximately 5 months through GM Financial. * March of 2021 year, I checked my remaining acct balance with GM Financial and sent payment for the full remaining balance as shown on the account. * From this time on I have not been able to log into the account. I'd considered the account paid in full. * On 5th of March, 2023 date, my car was repossessed. * I was told there was a balance of $12,000.00 owed on the lien with the total being $21,000.00- even though I believe I had made payment in full * GM Financial agrees there is a discrepancy in the paperwork filed by the dealer but since I never received that paperwork and Adams Auto Group will not respond to my inquiries, I have no way of confirming. * I am in the process of seeking legal advice because I believe I made a good faith effort to pay off the lien on the car and have been unduly harmed by the process. read more
