The platter comes with perfectly seasoned chicken over rice, along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I got the famous white sauce and hot sauce on the side so I could add as much as I wanted, and both took the dish to the next level. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the rice. The portion was generous and incredibly filling, making it an excellent value. Everything tasted fresh, and I honestly enjoyed every bite. That said, it was so good I could probably eat two platters! The line was long, but don't let that discourage you it moved steadily and was absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're a local or just visiting NYC, this is one of those iconic spots you have to experience at least once. it!

I don't go as much as I use to, as the price has more than doubled since 2017/18. However, that has nothing to do with my rating. My problem is that meats have gone downhill. I used to love gyro meat - never sure what it was exactly lamb or beef - but now it is just gross and greasy. The chicken which used to be excellent is now very dry. The white sauce is great and the rice is fine, but that is it. Not worth getting anymore. Maybe one of their competitors is better, can't really be worse.

But I'm very glad I got this now so I don't have to care about how long that potential line would be. It was around 20-25 minutes before we ordered and got our food. I had the mix platter - which consists of lamb and chicken over yellow rice with pita and lettuce. To that I added fries, white sauce, and hot sauce. Although the hot sauce was weirdly just missing. I guess they forgot it. I just have to mention the portion first. This is a gigantic amount of food. Anyone who can finish all of this in one sitting has either just had a bacchanalian night of drinking or has appetite of a mammoth. I respect them either way. But I got two-thirds through this before tapping out. Sometimes with huge portions you see the volume being disproportionally overstuffed by copious amounts of rice, but here they had equal portions of lamb and chicken as well. It's truly an equitable extravagance. Outside the portion, I really liked the taste as well. The fries were a fantastic addition I would recommend to everyone coming here - as they mixed in with the rice to add that extra textural crunch (they actually stayed crispy basically the whole time). The lamb was quite fatty and very juicy. The chicken was mostly standard, but decent still. I liked the way the pita gave you a different way to eat rather than just with a spoon - so you could mix up the eating mechanisms. The first thing you need to do is mix everything together; that's how you get the white sauce to coat everything. And this white sauce is really good. I really wish they hadn't forgotten the hot sauce as it would've added the necessary spiciness to how rich and garlicky the white sauce was. For just 13 dollars ($3 addon for the fries) this is an incredible deal. Probably some of the best value you can find in Midtown. Overall, this place that justifies a lot of the hype. I will say I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes in line for this, but if it's less than that - I'll be jumping at the chance. 9.25/10

Personally, I don't eat lamb but I can definitely say the chicken was so good with the sauces on top. It was addicting, light, and flavorful! My favorite part was definitely the sauce, but they also seasoned the chicken very well. Portions were great as well.

Service: Pretty quick, maybe way too quick!! The person serving us was patient and helpful and nice. Food: With this place being Halal I didn't need to worry if my broth was made out of pork or not, which is pretty nice. The meat was very soft and tasty, easy to bite into while the noodles it self were not simmered enough in the broth, making them little bit bland. The broth was not spicy at ALL which needed me to add some Chilli oil (cause usually there are spice levels when you make an order, somehow this place doesnt do that) so you are safe when it comes to spices here you are safe.

The cafe offers four different prix fixe meals every day from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each meal consists of three menu items. Smashburger: This single patty sandwich was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and sauteed onions on a soft bun. The patty could be slightly meatier, but the sandwich was good enough. Fries: These shoe string fries are perfectly seasoned.  They are tossed in a mesquite seasoning giving it a distinct a cajun flavor. They were hot and crispy on the outside while billowy on the inside.   The chef substituted shoestring fries because they ran out of wedge cut fries. Named after the restaurant, the 8-bit sauce is a house made secret sauce that is a great supplement to the meal. It goes with anything and everything. 12 Oz. Soft Drink: Wash your meal down with a refreshing 12 ounce can of soda. Multiple flavors are available, but free refills are not included. Each dining table has a monitor and four controllers.
