After reading reviews I thought this place would be worth a go after dealing with the disappointing and expensive experience I had with the dealership. Now I'm finding myself writing a review in hopes of helping others before they decide to take their vehicle here. I came her with a leaking oil cooler which i informed them of. After a full day being in the shop they called me at the end of the day to tell me exactly what I already knew. What was supposed to be 2 days turned to a week. I tried calling about my truck around the 4th or 5th day and they couldn't even give me an answer what was going on. Rental car fees added up and after finally getting my truck back, it was still leaking. This time from a new area under the truck. Called them and they checked it out just to tell me my water bump suddenly is going out and it'd be another $1600. The two parts are connected. Another issue I have is they said they changed my oil and reset the oil life but my oil life remains the same so who knows if they actually changed it. Finding an honest mechanic seems to be impossible these days and this place proves that. read more

I didnt have any work performed by these guys, but I did stop bye for some advice on work that was performed by another diesel place. I am late on doing this review so my apologies, I was in your place of business a few months ago. These guys knew what they were talking about and I really wish I would have taken my vehicles here instead of where I did. I am selling my diesel soon and will definitely recommend whomever buys my vehicle to check these guys out for any maintenance. This site does not post all reviews. It selects the reviews that show the most favorable results. Again, as I have posted several times. This started 10/19/21 after waiting for all parts arrived, as per Robs instructions. The truck was on for a turbo replacement, Duramax LML. The two day job turned into a seven day job, had to return a third time for exhaust/fuel leak below ninth injector. Turbo has vibration that Rob did not address, and no longer deals with, passed to Matt for damage control. I no longer have confidence that this shop can complete repairs with out issues. Let's see how long this stays up till they remove again. read more

In addition to what I wrote before, I just found out that this shop charged me for a transmission fluid flush service that they never actually perform based on my new mechanic.. Dishonest! read more

In February, my 2002 Ford 7.3 Excursion broke down on the way back from Reno. It was late in the day on a Monday and the temperature on the mountain was getting low. I googled diesel mechanics in the area and called a few. Adamson's staff were quick to help and suggested Halls towing which were great. We dropped the truck off after closing and left the keys. It took a day to figure out the problem but they kept me informed and correctly diagnosed and corrected the issue. This is a rare vehicle that I use to tow a trailer. It has 282K miles on it so one would expect some failures now and then but the repair and maintenance costs are small compared to replacing with a new like-vehicle. It's great to have a shop like Adamson around that are experts on 7.3 Powerstrokes and diesel engines in general The repair was fairly expensive but reasonable when I researched the cost of the part and labor. Adamson had the truck back in my hands running better than before within 48 hours of my first call for help. Thank you Adamson! read more

You can be confident that they just fix what is needed and don't try to sell you a bunch of unnecessary parts and services. They advertise that they are Ford truck experts, but they will work on just about any make. Matt saved me a ton of money and I received a better product. I am very happy with the profession work and honesty of this family business. Long story short, my 98 Expedition had factory air ride suspension that was leaking air. I hated hearing the rattle box compressor cycle on to air up the suspension; it made my suv sound like a piece of junk. Also, I hated the bouncy ride. The cost of replacing the two leaking airbags was $2,000. After I told Matt how much I disliked the airbags, he suggested that I convert to conventional suspension and immediately produced a quote. Parts and labor was only $1,200! That's a no brainer and the work was done quickly. It has been over a year since the conversion and I could not be happier. No more rinky-dink compressor cycling on and off and the ride is very comfortable. Adamson Automotive saved me $800 while converting to a superior suspension. read more
