Great guys hope they're doing well through all this. This review is actually from over a year ago when I was headed up to Hot August Nights. I broke down and got towed to them on a late Friday evening, there was this shop and another shop the other shop said they would be closing in a half an hour for the weekend. TNT also said they were supposed to be closing in a little while but they would try to get me up and running. Unfortunately because of parts they weren't able to get me up and running that night they even stayed over that half an hour to try to get me up and going. I just moved up to this small town. I called TNT to see about a muffler problem I was having. The gentlemen on the phone was super helpful and helped me figure out that what I needed was a professional muffler shop, then he recommended me one in Auburn. Now that's how life should be if you can't do it, you don't lie and say you can fix it. You recommend someone who can. We needed a new mechanic because our old trusty one got taken by a different car make's dealership. I saw good reviews on TnT so tried it. I really liked how I could just call & talk directly to a mechanic, unlike some places where you only can talk to the front end office people (details of car diagnoses can get miscommunicated + I just like to be able to to avoid the doctors' office style of having to wait for someone to get back to me, etc). Matt found an appointment for me within about 2-3 days & quoted me $2-300 for rear brakes because he didn't know if it'd need rotors too. Picked it up a couple of hours after drop off for $193 (they're also open till 5:30 so easy to pick up after work). The whole transaction with them was simple, zero friction, under budget. He even installed my new headlamps for free since it was no big deal (to him not me) to do- AND noticed we were missing a lug nut on our new (to us) car (sort of important for safety (:) Our kind of mechanics so far (made my problem go away with zero hassle). If I could give more stars I would. I own a classic 1967 Chevelle that was previously owned by my father-in-law who passed away from complications with leukemia. Needless to say, it has been an emotional few years. Being a classic car, it needed some repairs to get it ready for the car show season. I called my father-in-laws regular shop in Roseville but was put off and phone calls went unanswered. I got very frustrated with the lack of customer service or even common courtesy from the other shop so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I scoured the internet looking for a shop that I felt comfortable trusting my car with. I got a recommendation from a fellow classic car ( in this case truck) owner and read the Yelp reviews regarding Matt and his shop. I called and set an appointment. The car needed to be towed from Lincoln to Meadow Vista and it was well worth it. I met Matt and immediately felt comfortable with him. We discussed the various repairs that needed to be completed and Matt had a very "can do" attitude. Matt was upfront with the estimate and the work was completed later that week. We were able to participate in our first car show since my father-in-laws passing and it was bittersweet. I have nothing but great things to say about TnT Automotive.
