I had my truck looked at by the owner after it randomly died. I was told it had the wrong oil filter and cap combo and the truck was fixed. The truck made it about an hour and died again with no start requiring a second tow. This time the owner said it needed a new hpop, ICP, IPR, stand pipes ,dummy plugs and ball joints. Also I needed a new egr to make it smog. WOW I agreed and the shop collected $6200 dollars from me. The repair took 1 month and 2 days.They then told me after I called to see what was going on , the turbo needed to be replaced but they had a used one I then picked up the truck, again, immediately the check engine light came on. I noticed the deltas were way off. I called the shop and they said it needed a new oil cooler now.why was this not done when the HPOP was being replaced. Why did they not explain we can do this now for another $500 or it will be thousands later bc we have most of the parts off for the other repair. It would have taken an extra 1 hr and the part was $400. Now the said it would be another $2500 to swap the oil cooler. The very next day , suprise,the truck died and left my family stranded AGAIN. It now needed to be towed home and then I had to pay again to have it towed back to the shop. The shop called a week later and said it was nothing to do with the work that was done and now I had two bad injectors one on each side of course. So another $1389 for two injectors and another week later I got news my truck was running again but, now the axle housing was shot and it would be around $1200-1500$ for a used axle and about $2100 in labor to repair. I was also told that the axle housing was egg shaped and rounded out from driving on bad ball joints and it had to have a new axle. LOOK AT THE PICS BELOW. There is no egg shaped bad axle housing. This was pointed out it needed to be done the first time. Frustrated I paid my bill for the gold plated injectors and decided to have the truck towed again to another shop. They quoted me $675 in labor and I located a used axle for $400 from a scrap yard. Then I got a call from the new shop, there's nothing wrong with your axle , the truck needs new ball joints . Now the truck drives great and on top of the extended delays, $3500 in tow fees, three times stranded on the side of the road and $7589 I paid quality auto in repairs, I have a used axle I need to sell or find somewhere for it to go. The shop was slow. Extremely slow. The fees were very inflated according to the new shop. Most of the parts likely didn't need replacement. No effort on quality auto side to make it right. The best part, truck still won't pass smog . They told me it would take a couple weeks to diagnose and could need multiple parts. The truck is now being assessed to see if all of the repairs were infact done that were paid for. The new shop says more than likely no one bothered to test the vehicle and just threw all the parts of the high pressure oil system at it thinking it would fix the issue. The truck came in the shop for dying while running, no restart when hot. It came out of the shop two times and failed two times for same problem. The new shop also said more than likely , you needed two injectors the whole time and their charge would have been $850. over 10k dollars in repairs and headaches. My older pickup truck has needed several things replaced due to its age. Firstly, the gas tank sensor failed to indicate the level of gas accurately. Due to supply chain issues and getting a timely repair completed, an after-market part was used. It proved inaccurate, too. After a few weeks, the OEM part from Ford was obtained and installed. All in all, the gas tank had to be removed three times, but I was only charged for one time. Most recently, the truck started showing signs of overheating on long and steep grades when "pushed" hard. A sticky thermostat was replaced under warranty and the fan clutch was also replaced, both of which helped the engine to run a bit cooler. However, the engine still would get hot under the same extreme conditions. Deeper troubleshooting revealed the original radiator was a bit clogged. Because the truck had to be brought in twice for the same problem, a new radiator was installed, labor-free. Chris and the team are great. Not to get too wordy but I love the integrity of Darren and this crew. I own a 2017 Lincoln MKZ 3.0 AWD 400 hp beast. It's like living with a bi-polar Gemini woman and you have to really understand that beast to survive. Long story short, the issues that arise are way beyond the scope of most shops and mechanics but Darren will spend hours researching the problem until he knows exactly how to deal with it. And then charge less than Roseville Ford or any other dealer to fix it right (which the dealers rarely do). Again, at some point, you "make an assessment". In the summer of 2021 work done on the SF 250 I have to dig out the bill but it was somewhere around $7,000 again this time major work on the engine again 2022 summer of mind you we are working to pay this off to pay for this this time almost shy of 11,000 supposed to be Bulletproof right quality Automotives did we make it from Auburn California to Bakersfield on Highway 58 traveling to go to the next job for the winter in Death Valley we never made it so it was 9:00 p.m. in the evening when it decided to break down on the side of the 58 that one was blowing it was just awful so I have not much faith in quality Automotives we walked away it's been too much money thrown down the tubes we are devastated we are senior citizens completely out of money no way to even have it towed back we did have some tow insurance that got us back to Bakersfield as it sits at a Ford lot walked away broken senior citizens read more

LIES UPON LIES Took my truck in for a diag and assessment of some issues I was having was informed by Darin the owner that he would be an estimate together well I decided to pull the trigger after several conversations with him about the work that was done that I would pay full retail on the parts so he could "warranty" them even though I have access to the same parts. Figured let them make some money and keep business local only to have my truck delayed another 3 days. Picked up the truck and was told over and over again all week that my truck would run better than it ever did that he was excited to work on my truck only to pick it up and on my 20 mile drive home my truck started overheating puking coolant out throwing codes. (All downhill driving 74 degrees) Take the truck back for the overheating issue and the codes and receive a call from Darin stating I should consider doing headstuds since the headgasket failed. You had my truck an entire week and not one time when you were that far under the hood you couldn't notice the headstuds that were preexisting? Got asked how they determined that and if they addressed the P132B code which Ford labels as a Turbocharger code. Was told my turbo is to big for the truck. Blamed it on everything under the sun. I got fed up with the blame game from them picked it up parked it at my shop around the corner from them to come back in the morning to a puddle of oil on the ground source #1 oil drain bolt (they did the last oil change on the truck) and I thought was the HPOP cover gasket that they charged me to replace already. Had the truck towed to a reputable shop which upon them diaging they told me of the oil drain bolt leak and the the HPOP cover leaking. I HIGHLY ADVISE THEY CHANGE THEIR NAME TO NOT SO QUALITY AUTOMOTIVE. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST SHOP EXPERIENCE LIKE OWN UP TO IT AND FIX IT. I took my Ford C-Max into Quality Auto 49 this morning to check out rear wheel bearing noise. Darren Needles the Service Manager took my car for a diagnostic ride and told me that the noise was not the bearing, but the rear wheels needed alignment. The tires were fish scaled. Then recommended Schultz Tire (down the street) for the alignment. I would say they took 30 minutes and did not charge me a cent! I will surely be back to get my Ford's worked on, when they need it. I rate them 5 Stars, would give them 10 Stars if possible..This is the place to get your FORD fixed in Placer and Nevada County.. I will never go to Auburn Ford again as there is always something that is not done when you pick up your car after servicing. We had a major repair on our Ford engine and the local independent Auto shop we usually use did not have the right tools and maybe not the experience to do the work and advised us to go to the Ford Dealer. Well the first estimate we got from the Ford Dealership in Roseville and Sacramento where in the $4500 range and I really believe the Service Agent did not run the numbers correct and only came up with something he thought it may would cost or what they usually charge. So we checked the Ford Dealer in Auburn and the agent there actually mentioned something around $3000 and he really spend time to do the estimate. However, the service agent there then told us he is for this kind of work for the next 3 weeks booked out. Bummer, we thought we were out of luck. So I called our local independent auto shop again and told them my story, the guys in the shop there mentioned to contact Quality Auto in Auburn as they are specialized on Ford engines and have all the tools to do open engine surgery as our engine required to repair the timing chain tensioners. The estimate I got from Quality Auto was around $2800 and it was printed and very detailed. I was told the final price is really only known once the engine is open and they can be on the high site with their estimate. They decided to squeeze our car in their already tide schedule. The repair took at the end one week as it is a complex work and most likely other jobs had to be done in between. We got twice during that week a callback from the front office staff to let us know how the work was going and the whole dealing with this place was really very professional and customer oriented. When we picked up the car a week later we ended up with $2350 as the estimated damage was less then we all expected. The engine runs now better than ever and the long drive from Roseville to this place was worth the ride. While we still had to pay a pretty penny for this quite complex repair it was way less then we got quoted from the local Ford dealerships and most important the work was done well and right the way. So if you have an ailing Ford engine, this place is the place to go. You pay a fair price, but you get high quality work and deal with a friendly staff. read more

We had our Truck brought over by tow truck for repairs. When we picked it up 2 days later our truck was parked back side in and after we paid our bill and went outside to take it away, we noticed the rear light was broken and the bumper was damaged. We went back in to find out what happened and the woman at the desk tried to imply we did it! We discovered they had parked our truck in the empty unsecured area in the back overnight where the tow trucks drop vehicles. He estimated the price for a new Alternator so I would know what to expect. I checked it out online and his price quote was fair and his assessment of the problem was accurate. I brought my car in the next morning and repairs were done that day! He was honest, fair, prompt and they did a great job. My trucks come back with scratches, dents, and unprofessional work. Well I had a 93 diesel ford I worked on for three days and couldn't get it started. I gave up and decided to give these guys a try. The office mgr called me "daily" with status updates and when I came to pick up the truck it was running great, and the best part was the cost... It was half of what I expected to spend. Brought my 6.0l powerstroke in for cylinder head repair, initial proposed repair could not be performed, I understand and do trust the diagnosis. Was told cylinder head replacement on passenger side was needed, went over quote on tues. Was told they'll get the part ordered and truck should be done in a day or two, quote was $5,200, that fri. rolls around and I have not once heard about the status of my truck. I call @3:30 pm fri. was informed that the part wasn't ordered until thurs. and the tech who was supposed to be working on my truck isn't there that day. Was told that the part wasn't ordered sooner because the truck wasn't apart yet, even though I had already discussed the exact repair to be done with the owner 2 days prior to the order. Was given updates by staff next mon. tues, finally get my truck back wed., was told the check engine light was on, no sh@!. I brought the thing in for a major catastrophic repair and I didn't think I had to say anything about, so the truck was returned to me with the light on. "It didn't say anything in the order about the check engine light" was the reason it wasn't addressed was the explanation by staff, and "nobody had a chance to drive it." I did throw a fit in the office because it is 10 days later, my wife and I have many obligations, and like most adults we need our vehicles. The initial lack of communication and my vehicle being returned to me with still lingering issues have left me a bit perturbed to say the least. I take possession of my truck, $5,173 bill, drive it the next day and become stranded, I cannot "hot start" my truck and I certainly did not have this problem when I brought it in. I have now been stranded three times due to this issue, a very common issue that arises after the type of work that was done, and it was not addressed. Needless to say, I will not be taking the truck back in to Quality for the needed repairs to my fuel injection system. read more
