I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. 22 miles into a 600 mile trip home, all the electrics on my van went and my engine died. Total…read morecatastrophe - stuck on the margin of the busy highway in an area I had never been to. The Professional Garage was on a list my son pulled up on his phone and thank goodness he did. They helped arrange a tow very quickly and started work on my vehicle immediatly. The first part that was delivered to them from a supplier was a dud - absolutely beyond their control, by that time it was closing time and one of the mechanics went to get a replacement part on his own time. It was a complex repair, and close to closing time next day it was fixed and one of the mechanics offered to drive it to where I was staying. I said I would pick it up in the morning and they then offered to open early so I could leave for home in good time. The cost of repairs was VERY fair and correct. I could have been charged the earth seeing as I was stuck so far from home. I am so grateful to them - it is great to know there are still reliable, ethical and very professional shops in existence.
