First time I ordered chicken cacciatore. It was terrible. The chicken was smothered in sauce, and the green pepper's and onions' were tasteless. I have never experienced a Cacciatore hot mess like this. The texture was more like Clam chowder. It's a shame because I love their pizzas. shrimp , and sandwiches. I am a sucker for coupons. Just received a bunch for Addante's so ordered lasagna that had coupon for free cup of soup and salad. Creamy chicken veggie soup was delicious and the salad was fresh. I expected the usual limp lettuce but not the case. Lettuce was crispy and had cucumber slices and large cherry tomatoes. I was stuffed cause I also got a large hunk of hot garlic bread. Two large meatballs (free with coupon) and huge serving of lasagna. The meat sauce was superb but had 1 meatball and small serving of pasta, plenty of leftovers for tomorrow! read more

Addante's provided excellent food for our event today. Delivery was on time & set-up was quick & efficient. The food was fresh & tasted delicious. The garden salad had a variety of fresh vegetables. I find myself going to Papa Sev's in Glen Ellyn, and every time I don't want to make the drive and change it up, I'm finding myself back at Addante's. Just walking in and smelling food in this place, I'm left asking the question why I'm not just coming here all the time. All the time I used to drive by here thinking it's in a strip mall and the food is probably run of the mill. I couldn't have been more misguided. Addante's is a consistently good family run business that offers a legitimately tasting Italian sauce and food. If I had to be constructive, I might say the tasty sauce is mildly salty, but not by much. You will be thirsty eating one of their pies and it won't be long before your full. If your looking for a diversion to your pizza routine, or want to try something new, Addante's has a a very filling and tasty pie to offer you. The last time I tried the medium stuffed pizza (pics) and two of us could only finish a half on hungry stomachs. Yes it was good the next day too. After searching for a local pizza place that would make a really good thin crust pizza the search is over. Whew! I tried their regular thin pizza and it was just okay. When I went to pick it up I saw a sign "Try our Thincredible crust." I did the second time and it is as advertised incredible. They made it well done too which only made it better for me. Note if you tried their regular thin crust switch to their Thincredible crust. It makes a great pizza. read more

We contracted Addante's to cater a 90th birthday/family reunion in late January and couldn't have been more satisfied. Given that we are a big Italian family we had a bit of trepidation. But we were impressed by the glowing reviews Addante's has received in Yelp. The food arrived on time and ready-to-serve hot. It was expertly set-up by an experienced staff member, whose name I am ashamed to admit I've forgotten. All of it: beef, sausage, two kinds of chicken and pasta were delicious. The faralle with vodka sauce was especially tasty! The beef was steaming hot in ten minutes because they bring juice that is already very hot to pour over it. The portions were ample. We have always done our own cooking, but now that we have found Addante's who prepares Italian dishes "like Mama's" we will definitely be calling them again. read more

The pizza was amazing! I've heard good things about the food they have here. I ordered a large pizza with vegetables and half pepperoni. My wife's employer catered from Addante's. She mentioned the food was really good and received big portions. We decided to use Addante's to cater our Friendsgiving. We had Italian Beef, Lemon Chicken piccata (I believe that's what it was), Potatoes, stuffed shells. All of this was provided with set up materials, delivery and %10 percent tip. The food was delicious! We ordered for about 24-25 people. The price per person was very reasonable and , I'll say it again, the portions were very generous! We still have leftovers! Been coming here for years. Catered parties in the past never had any issues or problems. Food was hot and delicious, they make a great eggplant parm dinner. Ordered pizza's on line for the family for Valentine's Day and immediately after order placed I received a call from I assume the owner making me aware of a valentine day deal that saved me $20 ( ordered 4 jumbo pizza's). YUUUUUCK! I had heard that the beef sandwiches were better than Portillo's. I thought I'd try them out as a result. So for $8.95, you get a beef, "fresh cut fries" and a soda. First off, these are in no way, fresh cut fries. Frozen yuck that aren't even good, or cooked right. False advertising for sure on that. Plus they tasted old. Very old. Or off, I cannot tell, but gross nonetheless. The beef sandwiches....better than Portillo's, NOOOOOOOO NO NO NO NO. NO, not on the level at all. WORST beef we've had, and everyone who tried them agreed, horrible tasting, and we couldn't believe how GROSS they tasted, a total bomb. Will not return. I called to order $70+ dollars of pizza and pasta. I got a call back 20 mins later from the owner who rudely stated. "Where do you live... No, We're not going way out there." (We're 15 minutes away near Danada Square in Wheaton). He was very rude. I explained that their website says they deliver to Wheaton, Naperville, Carol Stream, Winfield, Glen Ellyn, West Chicago and Lombard. Solid, family owned place for take-out pizza, pasta and catering. They do a huge catering business. They have one of the most extensive catering menus I've seen for a small pizza type joint. Their cheese pizza is great. Perfect crust, nice amount of cheese and they add fresh oregano. The crust is thin and a bit chewy. Their prices are some of the most affordable in the area. They usually have a special of two 14 inch cheese pizzas for $14.95. They also offer a great family pasta, salad and breadstick meal for under $20. And, they have the old school of deal of cutting 10 coupons off of the pizza boxes and you can redeem the 10 or 1/2 off any pizza. Looooove that! Food is consistent. We always pick-up so cannot speak of delivery issues. Support this independent gem please. read more

My family ordered food from Addante's for my graduation party after hearing good reviews by word of mouth. At a very reasonable price, we were able to choose 2 types of food from the following categories: meats, chicken, pasta and salad. The order also included utensils and bread - for the italian beef, sausage and meatballs. We called a few times to change our selections, and the staff understandingly answered questions and helped with recommendations. A caterer came early and set everything up for us. Family and friends alike said the food was delish. Especially noted was the rigatoni ala vodka, lemon chicken, roasted green beans, and italian sausage/meatballs. I thought the stuffed shells were a little too dense. As much as I loved the meal that evening and as leftovers later in the week, my favorite element might have been the personalized cake decorated with celebratory words and my school colors. Got put on hold and was then told they had to check and see if they had the stuff for the steak pizza. I told them to make it a chicken ranchero instead, which they said would be fine. Placed my order. Just over 30 minutes later, they call me back to confirm my address. I live about a half mile from their store, two streets behind them. Which I told them both times I gave them my address. They told me the delivery guy was leaving in 2 minutes. 40 minutes later, no pizza. Called Addante's back and told them there was no way the food was warm anymore, cancel the order. They called their delivery guy, took me back off hold, and told me they could remake my order. Are you crapping me? No crapping way. Waaaay too late in the evening for that. Thanks for a craptastic experience, Addante's. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM ADDANTE'S AGAIN. Ok pizza. They offer deep dish and lots of other non-pizza stuff. This is a pickup place only, there's no room to eat in the building. I got a coupon from here and decided to try it out. There's lots on the menu which is always a mixed blessing. It's nice to have variety, but too many things and I think the quality suffers. At least at pizza places. We had a deep dish pizza, a 1/2 and 1/2 thin pizza and an order of buffalo wings. I was told the wings were just right. Son #3 likes his food spicy and is always on the search for good wings. The thin pizza was ok. Not a lot of flavor or sauce. Somehow it didn't have the right balance. The deep dish pizza was good, but they cut it ahead of time, which we don't like because the pizza cools off too quickly. Luckily this place is pretty close, so I didn't have to drive too long. I agree with Mary J., the pizza is ok. Instead I'd say go for the chicken vesuvio dinner. It's really good! The portions are generous and allow for leftovers the next day. Whatever you get from Addante's, opt for take out - don't have them deliver it. I've only had one good delivery experience with them in terms of the amount of time I had to wait, and even then they messed up some of the location information. Oh well! read more

I'd ideally like to give Addante's 3.5, but they are better than average, hence the 4. Solid Pizza. I had it first in high school, at a friends house. HAd the thin cheese. Very cheesy, and chewy, which is how I like my pizza. I prefer doughy to crunchy. I convinced my dad to try it, and he fell in love. They used to be located in Winfield right by the corner of Pleasant Hill and Geneva Road. We ordered them consistently for a while, and they actually were pretty inconsistent. Sometimes great, but sometimes not so good. This includes their stuffed and pan varieties. They moved to a newer, nicer location just East of their old one, at the intersection of Gary and Geneva. The pizza tastes a bit different; for the better. I will say they their catering (specifically the meatballs) are fantastic. I've been to a few parties with Addante's catering, and they always have tasty eats. I'll be honest: Addante's is a good local joint that I would recommend for catering, but not exactly for pizza. After a long day, we ordered Addante take-out with big appetites. And boy did they satisfy our tummies! I had the Fettuccine Alfredo and went into it knowing that alfredo is not always that good in take-out. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The sauce was still very good, the noodles held up well and the dish was an overall success. It came with the smallest side salad I have ever seen. It was literally 4-5 pieces of lettuce, a tomato slice and a cucumber slice. Nothing less, nothing more. The garlic bread was actually very tasty. Never disappointed here. Great pizza and great salads. Apparently there are some delivery issues (according to other reviews), however I am more of a pick-up person. Addante's isn't a cheap, chain pizza place. The ingredients won't hold the same way others will, because they are legitmately fresh and delicious. If you want delivery, call Pizza Hut. If you want amazing pizza, call Addante's and pick it up yourself. I love pizza. read more

We ordered dinner from them before catering my daughter's birthday party a little while back. All 5 of us suffered food poisoning from undercooked chicken. When we called to cancel the catering order and told them why all they said was, "We had a lot of chicken going out that night." No apology. They are not worth a second thought. read more
