I had Addedo's Fire and Ice in my bookmarks for a while, and one day I decided to go. The establishment is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with limited hours. Addeo's sells Pizza, house-made cheesecake, and their specialty is making house-made Italian Ice, and you can bring your own bottle. The owner is from New Jersey, where Italian Ice is very popular. Addedo and his wife run the establishment and do all the cooking and serving. They also own an antique store next door, so that you can shop after dinner. There is also a back area of the establishment where you can dine, and it looks like a library with various books, and customers can buy the books from the bookshelf. As I entered the establishment, I was greeted and seated right away. I ordered a pizza with half pepperoni. The pizza came out in about fifteen to twenty minutes. The pizza looked like New Haven-style pizza, and it was delicious. The crust was crispy, and the pizza tasted fresh. The sauce had great flavor and was well-seasoned. The pepperoni was crispy, and the Basil significantly enhanced the pizza flavor by adding a fresh, aromatic, and slightly sweet element that complemented the other ingredients. Also, the bright, somewhat peppery taste cuts through the richness of the cheese and sauce, creating a balanced and refreshing taste experience. The owner gave me a sample of Italian Ice: Mango and Blueberry. The Italian ice was delicious and fresh-tasting. I could taste the flavors of the Italian Ice, and you could tell it was made fresh. Definitely worth trying! I remember liking it my first time. My second time, I still like it but just felt like it was alrightttt. I ordered take out so keep that in mind. The cheesecake was good but I ordered the salted caramel and I feel like they just drizzled smuckers caramel sauce on top of it which is not what I was expecting. I will say the actual cheesecake was very creamy though. All in all I'm giving this place a 7 out of 10 for now but will definitely continue to try out different pizzas and cheesecakes and report back! can understand why people rave about it I am just not sure if it's my preference! read more

This place was around the corner from an upscale restaurant I was having fancy drinks at. I stopped here to look at some dessert but as a pizza connoisseur, I decided to try a pie. My pizza wasn't ready when I arrived as I was informed it would be and I was directed by a restaurant waiter to go downstairs into a basement to look at dated trinkets. It was an experience to say the least. The place was small, dark, and full of regular attendees. The pizza crust was some of the best I've had but only with that to say . The sauce was very similars to a papa John's sauce or dominos though it was more water tasting than theirs. I went back in to get their last piece of their take on a dunkaroos cheesecake. It was just that, a take. I felt bad about myself when I left this place, the environment was dark in every sense of the word, no happy, uninviting, and the food didn't have the expected Connecticut flavor that could compete with even a Cumberland farms slice of pizza. SWEET HEAVEN, MARY, AND JOSEPH... We just finished at the Legends of Fear night and wanted some dessert. Cheesecake sounded great so I said why not. The owner offered us some icey.. SWEET GOD... YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. I never had intentions on spending more than 10 dollars. I ended up getting lemon, blackberry, apple pie, sweet potato marshmallow, pumpkin pie and 1 more. 3 different cheesecake slices and 1 plain pie. I ended up spending over 60 dollars. It was so worth it.. you can feel the flavors bursting through each bite. I'm not a icy guy at all but to buy over 7 to go tells you everything. A friend recommended I come here, she said you have GOT TO TRY the fajita pizza. So we came! It looks tiny from the inside but we were happy to see a few tables to eat our pizzas at! Pizza is way better right out of the oven. Unfortunately they were out of that kind of pizza but others sang to me too. I ordered their version of a Buffalo chicken pizza, with some high quality blue cheese on it. You could really taste all the layers and the pizza dough was sooo perfect. Charred but not too charred and doughy but not too doughy. This is the kind of pizza I seek! My boyfriend couldn't decide so he made his own and just got a regular cheese pizza with hot oil on it. He was happy with his! They really are pretty much personal sized with maybe a slice or 2 leftover from the larger size. But wait, dessert!!! Such amazing cheesecake on a variety of flavors. I got pistachio cheesecake yum. I also saw someone come in just for a milk shake. The staff there, which were also the owners couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Great people! Vibe vibe and flavor! This place was gold to find on Yelp being from out of town and looking for good late night pizza! The owner is behind the counter and cooking I think with his wife? The music is loud and great while at the same time making for a perfect date. I went in craving pepperoni pizza but couldn't avoid the creative combinations on the menu. Fire: If you like thin crust pizza this is it. Menu is straight forward with 3 specialty pizzas on the back that change periodically. The pies are only 12in which is a personal pizza as far as I'm concerned. Right now it's still under the radar but when the word gets out it's going to be hard to get a seat here (very small front end). Ice: The Italian ice is perfect, it's claimed to be all natural and you can definitely taste a difference compared to other places. The flavors are present just enough to keep you wanting another bite instead of the overpowering flavors at other places. read more

My family and I recently held my son Luca's 20th birthday party at Addeo's. I looked like a genius for choosing this restaurant on Center Street in downtown Shelton. While the atmosphere, service and owners Johnny and Kelly were awesome, the star of the show was the food and Chef Hill. His thin crust pizza is amazing, the best we have found in the states after living a dozen years in Italy and eating the real thing often...the baked lollipop chicken legs marinated in oregano, garlic and olive oil are addictive...and a new take on eggplant parmigiana as thin, individually sautéed slices each with a light touch of tomato sauce and mozzarella in a miniature iron skillet is out of this world! Do you like thin new haven style pizza? Thin like Bar, Sally's and Pepes? Then this is the place for you. Paper thin pizza that is delicious. Currently they only have take out and a couple outside tables. They are working on the dining room and hope to have that open sometime in October. It's only one size pizza which is about the size of a small, and because it's thin one person can eat an entire pizza. They have the usual toppings and then weekly specials. I had a special, which included veggies from local stone garden farms. My other half hade hot oil with pepperoni. Loved it. Very friendly service and the owner was very nice.They also serve Italian ice, cheesecake, and milkshakes. They let you taste the Italian ice flavors prior to purchasing. Just ate at Addeo's for the first time tonight (in a snow storm). OMG, the pizza was fabulous!!! I loved it! It reminded me of pizza from Rome. Thin crust, great sauce (tasted like home made and very flavorful) and brick oven cooked to perfection. This was my first time here. It's very easy to miss, as it's not obvious from rd. They need better signage up front. This is my new favorite pizza and very comparable to our favs in New Haven. What a gem. It's very tiny, but the owner said they will be expanding soon by taking over the space next door for a dining area. I highly recommend this place if you like thin crust and charcoal on the edges. Hey everyone! My name is Sara and I've had this pizza delivered before, but it was 12:30am and I was starving. I don't eat fast food and Addeo's Fire & Ice was open and I had no idea it was literally right around the corner from me. I will never use UberEats again for Addeo's. Anyway, walking in, it's definitely a chill vibe and on one of their walls, it looked like people would sign their names or leave a little message which I think is awesome. The place was very clean. The lighting was very welcoming and beautiful. They actually just put up a brand new HUGE TV that was crystal clear and I didn't want to leave. The menu is just perfect. You have your choice toppings for pizza or just a regular cheese pizza which is what I went with. It was the perfect temperature and the owner introduced himself to me. Great guy, very friendly and professional. I believe it was his wife at the counter who initially took my order who was also very friendly and professional. I could see in the back the fire brick ovens. I thought this place was just pizza, but found out about all of these fresh desserts made daily which sounded amazing. They also have Italian Ice! You can BYOB and grab a milkshake they make fresh. Now, let's get to the pizza. I love my pizza thin. Always have, always will. I will post the photos I took, but the pizza was so amazing.
