Ended up here after finding out Willie Mae's Scotchouse was closed for the day. Ordered two of their breakfast meals, the catfish, the lamb chops and a Miss Tracy's addiction iced coffee. Both breakfast meals came with eggs and grits and the portion was enough to feed 2. The catfish was very good and the grits were delicious!! However, the lamb chops were very salty, but still good and perfectly cooked. The Miss Tracy's Addiction... I was surprised how the mix of coffee, cayenne pepper, honey worked so well. I was a very interesting drink. The staff is super nice and attentive. Overall, great customer service, solid food and good coffee!

Think of a traditional coffee shop. Then add a full bar. And a DJ. And hookah service. Also sprinkle in a few sections available for birthday brunch parties. Add all of that together, and you get Addiction Coffee House! This was another stop on the brunch tour my friend and I have been on. The ambiance was cool, the DJ did a nice job establishing the vibe of the atmosphere. Drinks: this place makes the STRONGEST lemon drop I have ever had!! I literally had to slowly sip and pace myself because wow-- the bartenders are certainly heavy handed! Food: if the vibe wasn't enough reason for me to return, the food certainly was an added bonus! I ordered the lamb chop breakfast which was accompanied by grits. eggs, and a little fruit. Delicious! Well seasoned, and aesthetically pleasing. The lamb chops were so tender, it was like cutting butter. I easily cleaned my plate! My friend ordered the chicken and waffles (yes, the waffles are shaped like what you think they're shaped like lol). She raved about her meal also; especially regarding how seasoned the fried chicken was! My only 2 disappointments are that they do not (at least while we were there) have a working air conditioner. There were large fans throughout the building, and it was a summer day in New Orleans which necessitates air conditioning! The portions were also small given the price of the food, thus resulting in my 4/5 star review! Nonetheless, I think you should check out this black owned business!

I really wanted to give this place a higher score because their food wasn't bad. But there was no-one in this place prior to our group arriving and it took over 1 hr and 30 min to get our food. We were greeted by a young lady who clearly seamed loss. Once some back up came we started to get some movement. Water, coffee and lemon aid that was sent back came 45 min after we sat down. Half of our group stayed the other half left. The ambience was giving im High and you should understand if I'm slow. ‍

The Addiction is a lovely and eclectic coffee shop! Their prices are no more than you might see at a Starbucks chain, but the atmosphere is so much better. They're pretty big inside, but they also have a wonderful space outdoors equipped with heaters, so you can enjoy it in the chillier weather too. Their backyard was just a very fun space with ponds and sitting areas, but also with animals! They have a goat and a rooster roaming around, and pigs in a pen across the pond (no access to the pigs). The rooster wouldn't let me pet him, but the goat was SO friendly! I could pet her all day! Don't worry, it doesn't smell like a farm there at all because it's so clean and well maintained. Their coffee itself was fantastic! I got plain old mocha, which was great, but what really stole the show was my boyfriend's coffee "Miss Tracy's Addiction". It's their specialty item with coconut milk, regular milk, honey, and cayenne pepper. It seemed too adventurous for me, but it was AMAZING when I stole a sip! Rich, some sweetness, and a tiny kick to top it off. Highly recommend this! I wanted to try their food items, but they weren't offering food until 11am. They have a barbecue house next door, and that's where the food is made. If it's anything like their coffee, I bet it'll be delicious! The staff serving us was helpful and friendly. He was careful to ask about which type of milk my boyfriend needed (cow, oat, almond, or coconut), and he was very informative about the shop itself! I LOVED this coffee shop!

I stopped in to do some streaming. I really like the environment and the décor. It is not the quiet coffee shop I was expecting; it's really loud. I thought the food was decent but over priced.

Just here trying different brunches since we're foodies and love supporting black businesses. The food was good. They were just opening and we love beating the crowds. Waiter was a cool guy. I will return to try more of the entrees like lunch or dinner menu.

I came here the other day for breakfast because I seen someone post it on IG. I really enjoyed my food and I loveeee the hospitality if the staff. The only reason I am giving this a 4/5 stars is because it was a bit hot in there and they had a box fan on the floor. If you know NOLA in the summer time, it gets HOT so a hot fan without blasting AC is kinda scarce in comfortable. Also I just wish the food Potion was a bit bigger for the price. But all in all... Will I go back... YES! It's black owned, served liquor in a coffeeshop and idk what they put in them damn grits but is was BUSSIN' sheessh. I don't eat cheese grits but I ate them that day. Good God!!! also I want to see what this place is like over the weekend because they have hookah and a DJ and that sounds like a V I B E. See you all soon.

This place is amazing. The food and presentation were fantastic! I'll be sure to add this to my New Orleans itinerary moving forward. Try the gumbo grits!

Chicken and Banana Foster Waffles The food and atmosphere satisfies work and leisure. Mrs. Tracy and her team's attention to detail and service is the best in the city! Plainly stated, I love this place!!!!

I enjoyed my chicken and waffles.

This was our choice restaurant on Sunday morning after church. My husband and I treated well. This place is for a younger crowd, but we still enjoyed the service and food.

Did addiction ever reopen or does Yelp have it right as closed?

So, although it was listed as closed when we went, they actually moved next door, to the barbecue place. Tracy was there, and we had our fix!

Is the coffee shop closed? I went by today and it wasn't open and the inside looked to be in a bit of disarray.

Hey, they are currently renovating that place. Right now you can grab coffee next door it's a BBQ place. I know.. confusing but the owner owns both places and last time I was there they told me to come next door for addiction coffee

And then I realized the "new" Delachaise is like a decade old! This birthday... let's say it hit hard with this realization that you can think something is new when it's actually ten years old. I love this Maple Street location of Delachaise. A longtime fan of the St. Charles location (13 years, in fact), I appreciate that this spot has full table service while the OG is order at the bar. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time. We ordered olives but they weren't really to my liking (cold, tasting strongly of vinegar rather than herbs and too many of the tiny black ones taking up space. I love Castelvetrano olives and there weren't any in the serving). Service is just so so nice. Really perfect. Can't wait to come back for more wine and an evening on the patio.

The deviled eggs were basically hard boiled eggs (the yolk wasn't really seasoned with anything and looked like they'd been sitting in the fridge for a bit before serving). But the mussels were delicious and the ribeye (beware: IT'S HUGE!) and the sliders were very flavorful. They even brought our warm baguette for me to dip into the mussels sauce after I'd finished them. The service was 10/10...super friendly, attentive and helpful. And the space was nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. Very cute and bistro-like.

You get delicious notes of curry, lemon mascarpone, tomato sauce and it's not super acidic. *Cheesecake: Surprise sweet ending! It's a super cool, modern atmosphere with a very comfortable yet /modern feel. On this trip, we had the Charred Artichoke, which came out with perfect char yet tender hearts. Tasty with an onion/garlicky cream sauce. We had two show stoppers...1. Crispy Cauliflower is in a green-onion/chili-oil/harissa-type red slather. Sooooo good! Then, the VERY BEST 2. Avocado Panzanella: the best I've ever had in America and my best panzanella period! That says a lot as I LOVE them in restaurants globally, including Southern Tuscany/the Isle of Sicily. It's an avocado lover's dream, with plenty of this star ingredient of many chunks of avocado(zero skipping here!), crunchy bread pieces, sun-dried tomatoes, etc., in a creamy, slightly hot honey vinaigrette (I believe). There is a Bay Scallop Aracini we have to try next time. It sounds Great! I LOVE a Bolognese because it takes 12-16 hours to cook/smolder/meld. The Bower takes such time & it's very apparent they care to smother it with plenty of porky and beefy goodness. Amazing entree‼ Lastly, our dessert was a Dark Chocolate-type tort. Not sure if it's "flourless," so I don't want to say that in case you're on a flourless diet. But, if you can, it's fantastic. Thankfully... Not too sweet at all. It's perfect, and I'm not even a typical chocolate person. Pls geaux...youll be very satiated!!!
