In fact, Heather's bare toes were sticking out in the photo. We asked if the toes could be cropped out in some way but she said not to worry, she would remove it by Photoshop. Yet at the end of our session, after settling on a couple additional photographs (at $99 per 8x10 print), she proclaimed that she was no longer going to remove her toes! We were too appalled to react. I had also mentioned we could look at the online photos on our own time later, but Heather replied that there's no guarantee these would be available any longer after that day, and that she never backs them up unless we pay for the digital rights which was thousands of dollars. Even more appalled! Hmm, our Groupon deal said we would have one year access to the online gallery. Grouponers, caveat emptor! The photos would take about 6 weeks, or end of October. By the middle of November we still hadn't heard from her, but we discovered it was up to the customer to contact her to see if they were ready. OK. then. My wife picked up the few photos in a nice box with a pretty ribbon, a few stray toes, strange vibes, and no info on gallery access. All for the unbargainly price of $275. Those toe photos still sit in that "nice" box...our walls aren't worthy! [Update: read the following only if you happen to read the owners reply. I can only say after getting always gracious and apologetic replies over the extremely few one star reviews I've given over my many hundreds of yelps, this one is focused on undermining the validity of the review. 1. $275 = $59 groupon + $215 for the 2 additional photos. My info is correct! 2. about the toes, we only joked about keeping them...and rest of the sentence was: "but can you remove them please?" let us be completely logical - virtually noone would ever want to pay such money to have a stranger's toes jutting in the photo. we are in the 99%! ]

We have grand parents and other close family members throughout the world and I begged and pleaded several times for selling electronic version of our photos, but they simply refused. I even committed to purchasing products worth $1000 and asked only for the electronic copies of photos that we purchased otherwise. They said no. I found the owners, especially, Simon, to be inflexible and arrogant. I had bought a certificate for their sitting session at a Saratoga downtown event and they never told me about this stone-age policy of not giving electronic copies. In general, this is a racket - these photographers take our picture, we pay them and we don't have any rights on our own pictures. We wasted a good portion of Saturday with two young kids and didn't even get what we wanted. I would ask everyone to stay away from them.

I mean, taking pictures with my girlfriends is fun, but I can't imagine having fun being proper with my family for a picture. For the first birthday session, Shailee helped me with a theme because I really needed some creative input. We went with her idea. I also leaned on her a lot for her input on  choosing the twin's outfits. The planning was over a 3  month period. Shailee dedicated her busy time in between personal and professional time to contact me so we can discuss ideas. I was also torn between combining the session with a family shoot and first birthday shoot. I knew that photographing twins wasn't going to be that simple in terms of timing it with their naps. I also felt overwhelmed by the preparations. Shailee understood my concerns well. She made some really great suggestions to alleviate the stress of my unique situation. The photos turned out fabulous as expected. The only problem was there were too many good photos to choose from! Shailee has helped me so much more than she knows.
