Food was honestly phenomenal. We LOVED the carne asada plate. The steak was so tender for being so thin (not easy to accomplish) and had great flavors. The mole on the cheese enchilada was delicious as well. And I'm a sucker for a cheese enchilada and believe it or not, it can be messed up. But not here! The service was solid. No complaints. I was recommended Adelitas and it did not disappoint. It's a fun atmosphere with links to strong women. The bar is large and impressive as you walk in. The margaritas are good, tart and light. We had the Wednesday night special, the chimichanga and it was delicious! What I loved about this dish was it didn't have a lot of extras rice and beans. Also if you're used to chips and salsa on arrival you need to order it. Again, I was a little sad but appreciative because I wasn't too full for dinner. I got a margarita coco morado, pretty purple color and tasted not too sweet, ir was pretty good! We did tacos of course, got a few different types, and they range from $2 to $4! Obvi, I'm a fan, lol. Onto the review - Adelitas is a great example of hidden gems (for us). Edgewater isn't far from us, but it's not close enough where we'd know about all the new places. If ya know me, you already know we sat at the bar. Yep, we did. And that's an easy way to learn about some of the cool history of a place - like we did. We shared their queso fundido - loved the cheesy gooeyness. He had their carne asada plate (charred a little too much but no other complaints) and I enjoyed their chicken enchiladas with their verde sauce (def a good choice). The portions are large as the pics show. Leftovers FTW. Pricing was appropriate, nothing that threw me. I'd def return for their spicy marg. Their bartender was great - chatty but not too over attentive and really friendly. He shared the place's history. They have a few items in their brunch menu including chilaquiles and mole which is pretty solid. Extensive mezcal and drink menu. Service is friendly. Would go here again but I wasn't blown away. Went here with another couple and absolutely loved everything about this location! We love the original Adelitas but the wait can be a deterrent but here there was no wait at 6p on a Saturday! Both couples had different versions of the Molejete and cleared our bowls! Absolutely delicious. Everything is consistent with the original location and the service and space were just as welcoming! Was on my way into the Edgewater public market when I realized Adelita's had finally opened and opted to go here instead. When I arrived the restaurant only had two other parties but it quickly filled up within 15 minutes of me sitting down around 4:15 pm on Taco Tuesday. The entire team was working together to ensure the satisfaction of every guest. They were all actively engaged. Donny was a phenomenal server and had a lovely aura and presence about him. He was there to refill my drink and touch base often. I started with the salsa flight and it arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. All three sauces were solid. The kind of salsas that get better the more you eat them. It was taco Tuesday so I tried the veggie, pollo, and pastor tacos. All of which were good. Not mind blowing, but for $2 each, they are more than a bargain. The tortillas were a little bland but the overall tacos were yummy. I would definitely come back to try more again. They also arrived within 5 minutes. And then, lastly, the Flan. I like to think of myself as a flan connoisseur. This was very good flan. As good as the one at La Diabla on Larimer which I feel sets the standard for good flan in Denver. And the total for my girl lunch? $25.99. That's it. Then we had the queso and three tacos. All very good. Taco tortillas are small especially considering how much they put in them. All very tasty and come with spicy salsa. Dang, this was really disappointing. When I saw they were opening in edgewater I was pretty hyped. Reddit and online communities in general seemed to all state that adelitas was one of Denver's best Mexican spots, and I love Mexican. I'll just run through the experience from start to finish. Service: it was a Friday night, so waits are understandable, but it was annoying to be told "15 to 20 minutes" and it actually took 36 minutes to get our table. Maybe a nitpick but we have a baby and we value the time estimates lol. Not a massive gripe. Vibe: good vibe, they were playing a Cumbia playlist, the atmosphere feels right. Quite active as the place was packed. Food: Starters - 1. Chips and salsa trio - 5 stars, they nailed it with the salsas. 2. Guacamole - 1 star. Just awful. This really set the whole experience off on a bad foot. I'm almost certain they added sour cream to the guac. If not, it certainly had a strange, sour flavor, and little fresh avocado flavor. Not sure why a restaurant would do this, is this a cost saving thing? 3. Flautitas - 1 star. These are like mini taquitos. Chicken was bland and dry as could be. Mains 1. Puerco con chile colorado -- this was decent, 3 stars. The sauce and seasoning was good and I enjoyed the rice and beans. The pork itself wasn't super tender, however. 1a. Corn tortillas - 1 star - it came with some unbelievably bland corn tortillas, I think they forgot to add salt or something. Pretty rare that the tortillas actually detract from the meal imo. 2. One of my favorite Mexican food restaurants in Denver. The food drinks and sauces are delicious.The house chips and salsa, perfect thin, salty chips served with some of the best salsa I've ever had. The chicken enchiladas served with their red sauce is a dish I crave regularly. The huevos à la Mexicana for brunch is perfection. The rice and beans are so good. Also, the Carne Asada plate is something special. I love when you go to a restaurant and you can't decide what to order because there's too many good choices, that Adelitas. I love Adelitas, so I was super excited to see they had opened a location in Edgewater. Their food always tastes delicious and fresh, and they have a number of vegetarian friendly menu items which can be very hard to find at Mexican restaurants - and the vegetarian menu items don't taste bland! Parking is much easier at this location than the Broadway location since you have use of the Edgewater Public Market's parking lot. I fear that I will frequently be dining in or getting takeout here going forward. read more

Nice tangy green chile tomatillo sauce. Liked their mole. Solid. Nice vibe in the restaurant. I'd grab a little stool for the restrooms for the littlest ones, but nice little dude urinals. Just a nice spot up here on the West Side. Host was super nice. Back server was super nice. Everyone was super accommodating. Nice execution, great staff, and nice environment.
