The 4-5pm and 4-6pm HH is great with a good variety on the menu. The tacos are delicious and the service/value is pretty darn good! The indoor and outdoor seating really makes this a great spot.

Everything about this place works: the vibe, the service, and the food. It's the ideal spot for a casual date night or dinner with friends. The tacos are fantastic--especially the carnitas and cordero--and the queso fundido with tequila and chorizo is a must-try. Drinks are just as great!

It kills me a little inside to pay for chips and salsa and to pay over six dollars a taco, but the food was good and filling. Interior is small, service was great, and it was overall a great dinner out.

One of our Friday night go-to taco joints. Nestled in the highlands this is not only great for dinner but happy hour has great deals and often when they are the most busy. Everything is yummy. Enchiladas have this tasty red sauce Carne asada fries have the right compliment of fresh fried All the sliders are great. Love the shrimp and pollo agave for sure. Bang bang shrimp is less my thing here. Paloma's are a great happy hour treat. All the tacos sing to me The churros with cajeta are a must. Service is always great. Patio is open all year round and the chefs counter is a favorite too but not always open. This pace is always busy and the noise level can crescendo around 6:30. The bar and community tables are fun but less intimate. Highly recommended!!

I love tacos, I love tequila, and I love whiskey--so obviously I had to visit Tacos, Tequila & Whiskey in the Highlands. Spoiler alert: I love them now too. What I tried: Basically... the whole menu, but highlights included: Carnitas: Crispy roasted pork perfection. Cordero: Braised lamb with esquite--an elite combo. Queso Fundido: Made with tequila and chorizo, absolutely unreal. Hibiscus Margarita: My favorite sip of the night. The vibe? Fun. The food? Fire. The service? Fantastic. The prices? Super fair for what you get. Add this spot to your Denver rotation ASAP.

My tacos and tequila crew (yes, I'm being serious!) came by on a Friday afternoon to check out the spot for the last chunk of happy hour. Outdoor patio was bumping but indoors was quite quiet. Our server was lovely and someone always seemed to be around for water refills which is an A+ in my book. We heard great things about the queso and had to give it a try - did not disappoint! Super cheesy and delicious. Decent HH deals on margs but was bummed no taco deals. Margs were fine but nothing to call home about; the spicy one didn't have much of a kick. For tacos, I went with the hongos, birria, and fried chicken. Tortillas were great quality and tacos were very filling with yummy flavor. The massive chunk of fried chicken was sweet as a portion size, though very difficult to eat and would have liked to see it cut at least in half. On the whole, a really solid spot to grab some tacos and tequila - would not be upset to return by any means.

Think I've reviewed it before, but whatever. This place is insanely good and has a great HH menu too! Their tacos on hh are "sliders" and they're sooooo good. The nachos on happy hour were also super good, haven't had these before but the cheese was layered so well and every chip had a delicious bite - the Key to good nachos! The sliders were reaaaaaalllyyyy good. Make sure you get the birria slider, it's to die for! Service is always great and quick here! I get the purist margaritas, it's super super fresh and not too sweet at all! Love it!

Some of the best tacos I've had in Denver and a great atmosphere! The outdoor dining area was well set up and the service was great. We had six different tacos and all were amazing, the carnitas and quesabirria were incredible. Will absolutely be going back.

Been curious about this place for awhile and I'm so glad we stopped to try! We tried the nachos that were on the happy hour menu and there were layers of flavors while the nachos were actually super crispy and not stale at all! We also tried the tacos and every single one I tried were so tasty!! I can't remember the name but the one with a fatty pork meat was my favorite. Everything melts in your mouth!! Wonderful place. Would love to try stuff from their brunch menu and non-taco items (which might be hard cuz now that I know the taste it'll be too tempting)

    Carnitas and black beans

So this came as a pleasant surprise! When traveling through the airport in Denver, and you have a layover, we have all aimlessly looked for a place to either have a snack, lunch or dinner. I took a gamble on this place. This place did not disappoint. I had the Carnitas taco and black beans, was seriously hesitant because there is no way you're going to get good tacos in an airport. Do yourself a favor and try this place. If you're ever lucky to be in terminal A- it's down at the end of the terminal around A18. I didn't wanna commit on a combo so I just got one taco and a side of black beans, that was $10! So now I'm thinking I should've got the two tacos combo, lol. Anyways, give this place a try it was truly delicious. It may be a bit confusing because there is a bar restaurant right next-door to it so soon as you pass the bar, you'll see the restaurant on the other side. You're welcome!

We went last weekend with our family and had tacos, queso, and margs. Our server was super nice. The watermelon margarita sounded really good on the board but I feel like flavor wise it fell a little flat and the seasoning on the rim was weird. It wasn't just tajin, it was like tajin, salt, oregano and something else. It was strange. We got the chorizo queso with garlic to share for the table. It came out hot and bubbly. It was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was melty, it was yummy, it was crispy from the little cast iron pan and the garlic addition was perfect. It had a little heat but not bad. Everyone at the table got the queso a la plancha taco and I was disappointed with this one. It came in two corn tortillas and it's supposed to be just like fried cheese on the taco topped with guac and salsa. There was minimal fried cheese and SO much guac. I had a shrimp taco which felt flavorless and an asada taco which felt overfilled. My husband loved the birria. I had a bite and it was delicious!!

Honestly the most amazing people. I stopped by a few minutes after 11. They still went out of their way to make me food and accommodate me. Amazing food, amazing people! Highly recommend! I'm really lost for words with their kindness! Thank you so much

They don't serve food, though you're able to bring in food if you'd like. I remember when Bookbar occupied this space many moons ago. I used to like that place a lot. Well, I'm also beginning to like the new life My Boy Tony has brought here. It caters to a younger crowd, whether you're bar hopping on Tennyson with a group or looking for a spot to take a hot date. For better and worse, it's a neighborhood bar at its core. The most shocking thing is how they transformed the space from the previous tenants. It has a beautiful open layout with nice furniture and design. The bartenders are generally friendly and prices are in line with similar cocktail bars in Denver. The few times I've been here I've been in a cocktail mood. Negronis and Old Fashioneds are made well and are slow sippers I enjoy. They do have a nice selection of wines that I'll have to try when it tickles my fancy. The only hiccups here for me are some really long wait times for drinks. They usually have two bartenders and sometimes it gets really backed up. No one is running the floor when I've been there bussing and wiping down tables. Though I understand with a location here it can go from being empty to completely slammed in a matter of minutes! If you're looking for a cool, comfortable bar without the pretentiousness or judgment, check out My Boy Tony.

We ended up sitting inside because it was a bit too hot for us, but others were on the patio and it did have ample seating and shade; will likely be lovely in a few weeks. The decor inside was clean with comfortable seating and a variety of bar seats and low tables. They also had virtual golf - an interesting mix. My one complaint is the amount of televisions. It had the amount I'd expect at a sports bar but way above sports bar prices. A friend sent me a flyer that a local DJ was having an all vinyl set here with funk, jazz, hip-hop and soul - some of my favorite genres and hard to find, especially in vinyl in Denver, where electronic dance music is a bigger culture I had the best time, the music was great. I even introduced myself to the DJ as someone who moved here recently and began following his Instagram so that I can come to other nights like this. The cocktails were delicious and very unique, I can guarantee you've never seen a sour cream and onion martini on a menu before. I don't have big enough balls for that yet so I opted for a guava sour and was so delighted at what I got. They use a Pea foam instead of egg whites and I could not tell the difference. The guava flavor was so strong and present, perfectly balanced for the drink. I also tried the infante -- or at least a version of it, I asked if there was any way to make it the same as the sour with the foam, and our server told us the bartender would whip me up a unique concoction that was similar to that. It was such an original drink. Everything was so yummy. The place is in a perfect little corner spot tucked away in Sunnyside, residential, but feels fun. Definitely can't wait to come back.
