At least they have a decent beer list. They had karaoke and there was a steady stream of people waiting to take their turn on the microphone. Those folks were much braver than me, that's for sure. I love that they still have pull tab machines, those are always going to take some of my money, if for nothing else but the nostalgia. I ended up winning a few bucks, so that added to the overall positive experience. Service was ok - there seemed to be a bit of confusion over who our server was, but once that was resolved, we had no issues. It was fairly loud but not so much that we couldn't still carry on a conversation. I'd probably go back, because there are not too many places in the area that still have a pool table.

What a wonderful spot halfway between the airport and downtown. I left it up to the bartenders to choose my drinks... Aight, lemme break it down real raw for ya. Pulled up to Admiral Pub for the first time, been meanin' to hit this spot for a minute 'cause I'm always on the hunt for new pubs and bars to vibe at. Walked in, and the place got that old-school, wood-paneled, neighborhood joint kinda feel--real cozy, real chill. They got a lineup of cold brews and some live music poppin' off, so you already know the energy was right. Now, lemme keep it a buck--service was movin' slower than a three-legged turtle in a marathon. I was tryna flag somebody down like I was stranded on a deserted island, but it took a hot minute before I got some action. Once they finally slid through, though, it was all good. The menu got the classics--burgers, fish 'n' chips, plus some wild card picks like that chef's curry table situation. Ain't mad at it. Overall, the vibe was hittin'. Once the service caught up, it was smooth sailin'. Might just have to spin the block and run it back to see what else they cookin' up. read more

Service the same, but today was on a whole new level, and not in a good way. We were sat quickly by a young man, who was friendly. Our server brought us waters with ice and lemon as asked. We ordered a couple of beverages which were dropped in a reasonable amount of time. When we asked for a few minutes to peruse the menu we got plenty of time to do that. PLENTY! I finally stood up and asked the other server if we could please place our order, who then brought us to the attention of our own server. She came over and oh have you had time to decide? No apology for the twenty minutes we had sat. Another couple came in after us, ordered and had the food delivered, by the other server, before we even placed ours. Ordered, asked for our water to be refilled. Never happened. I finally asked another gentleman if we could have more water, and he got it right away. When our food was dropped, there was no mention of our water miraculously appearing. The food was boring, bland, and not overly generous in the portions. My fish pieces were large, but mainly batter, the fries were hot but as soon as they cooled a little they were very greasy. The coleslaw tasted like nothing at all.
