Let me first say The empanadas from day one and still are excellent. I also fell in love with their Cuban Sandwich, however the last few times, the contents of the sandwich has gotten very "Skimpy" ! The other day, the last 2 inches of sandwich had only melted cheese and a pickle. So is this just certain employees that do not know how to make it properly or is management instructing to cheapen up the sandwich. I hope they correct the situation! Oh Well 12/20202...just lost another star. My wife went to pick up an order with her great nephew baby in car. We were paying cash and she called to see if they could bring order curbside (Like they did all Covid Summer) The Lazy girl that answered the phone said we don't do that anymore, limited staff. She was going to tip $5 too. So she gets the child out of car seat and goes in and sees 3 employees standing around doing nothing and says "I don't know why you couldn't bring curbside" So 2 out of 3 look confused that they would have brought out" So the third girl was the Lazy one. Owner...how do you you feel when your employees are ruining your hard work and reputation. Stop being their friends and fire them. What is she making $8 and hour..she could have made over 1/2 her hourly salary in 1 minute. You do not need stupid people on your staff like this. read more

Great food! Everything I've tried has been delicious: chicken, pernil, empanadas and especially the chicken soup. Oh the chicken soup!!!!

Stopped here on a Saturday looking for some good Spanish food. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions about the dishes. I had the pernil (roast pork) with yellow rice and beans. The pork was very tender and moist; the rice and beans was flavorful. My daughter had the same and the beef empanadas. She thought her selections were terrific. I never had an empanada and chose the shrimp variety. While the filling was tasty I found the shell to be hard, I won't be ordering them again but I'm sure others will find them a great addition to any meal. read more

So I heard a lot of chatter about this place and decided to come see for myself. I will say I'm kinda on the fence of giving 3/4 stars. Prior to walking in the front door was propped WIDE OPEN. I went in and wasn't greeted by either of the two employees.. no one said hey I'll be right with you.. 4 people walked in behind me, we all kinda looked at each other wondering if anyone was gonna take my order. About 3 minutes later one employee told the other to take orders. As I was giving my order, I was shooing flies away. I'm not sure why they would have the door open when clearly flies were in the restaurant. Seems to be quite the health concern... THE FOOD: I will say was very delicious. I ordered the yellow rice, no beans with the pork. The pork was NOT very seasoned. The plantain they gave me with my meal was awesome! I also order to beef empanadas. They were delicious, but one was filled 50% the other 25%, very inconsistent. All in all the food was not bad, I'm bothered more about the service, the open door and the flies. If they can remedy that, I will gladly give 4stars. Also.. I saw another patron said he observed someone handling food and making change with a dirty glove. I did not experience that, but if I do I'll post and will walk out. It's very frustrating that a lot of places do that. read more

I was happy to find a Spanish restaurant near the hotel. I was so disappointed. I ordered the Mofongo with chicharones because it looked so good in the menu. Mine was pale, no taste and the chicharones was thin and mostly all fat. My daughter got the pernil with white rice. The pernil was good, but not great. My husband ordered yellow rice with chicken. The rice was so mushy, it could have stuck to the wall and the chicken had no taste. We were very disappointed! Straight Up!...I went in December to visit my Son who relocated from Nazareth PA to WindGap PA...I'm a El Barrio boy (Spanish Harlem) and run in the cultural arts, theater, music, educational, intellectual social sircles and epicurian latino (food) circles so you can say I know a "little" about latino food...I was shocked and impressed that there was a Latino Food service spot in Easton PA...Went there with some family (who are all well experienced in ALL aspects of "Puerto Rican Cookery" ) and enjoyed some tasty "Legit" Puerto Rican meals...Honestly in my opinion some dishes were more tantalizing menu choices than other's as is always the case when my subjectively personal taste and the excuisite "Puerto Rican Palate" are involved...(And as we ALL know the best kept Puerto Rican food secret is that NOBODY cooks and taste better than our own Mother's and Grandma's cooking) ...that being said ADOBO is a Cultural Oasis in a land of "Meh" Fast Food joints, Bar Food and Diner's (No offense intended to these struggling food joints trying to stay afloat in the age of the Virus) ... We have eaten here a few times and enjoy some of the food, but not all of what we have ordered. The staff is friendly and the food was pretty good. When we ordered mufongo I fully expected the hard pork pieces inside of it but the only pork we got was placed in large chucks on the outside of the mufongo. When we ordered beef empanadas we were given pork ones instead. The customer behind us had the same thing happen. The one time we actually ordered and sat inside the restaurant to eat, it was packed. Since opening the food quality has been going down. I have been to your restaurant 10x ordering pernil, chicken, pastelillos, tostines, rice, beans, caonas .... Last order was roasted chicken which was undercooked. Took it home and had to finish in oven. The tostones were thin hockey puck. Dry really thin and dark. This is what happens when tostones are made early in the day and sit under the heat lamp. Ugh! I called to provide feedback but person showed no interest to find out what happen. I asked if the place had been sold or if they changed cooks but was told nothing has changed. Then i was asked if i wanted to place an order! I may go back in a month or 2 just to see if changes have been made. I found that the roasted chicken at the local giant had better flavor, cooked better and cost 1/2 the price. It's difficult to get Puerto Rican/Dominican food in this area. Their empanadas are pretty good along their rice and beans.

Couple things... 1. I came here in the first week of operation, so I expect that things are not perfect. 2. I did not expect for the food to be better than our home cooking... but i will show support for our Latin community. 3. I still expect a level of excellence because they have decided to call themselves professional and want my money for a service they provide. Now, the first thing I ordered, was not available, and the secong thing I ordered was not available, and the third thing I ordered, you guessed it, was not available. On my fourth try I finally found something that they had. I tostones, an empanada, and a mofongo con chicharon. The empanada was average. Then they gave me maduros instead of tostones, when I told them that I had ordered tostone I was told that I was mistaken and that I ordered maduros, which I know that i didn't because my friend ordered the maduros right before me and I didn't want to get the same thing. The mofongo itself was good, but the chicharon is usually mixed into the mofongo. Here i basically received a side of chicharon on top of the mofongo. That being the case i had to have a bite of each separately, which wasn't great because the chicharon was not bite sized, and cutting it with a plastic knife just wasn't pleasant. There were no salt or pepper shakers to be found and seating is very limited. Also, serving food in to-go containers is annoying. Will I go again? Yes, but only to see if they have improved. I've been here twice already....and I can only think of PROs...not many CONs. I'll list a few: 1) VERY CLEAN.....I've been in many Latin take out places in Bethlehem and Allentown....this place by far is one of the nicest I've been in. Very modern from the digital signage to the counter.....this was an excellent atmosphere. 2) NICE PORTIONS...I've had the beef and shimp empanadas (I'm partial to the shrimp). I've also had a few platters (which they load up with Rice and beans too)...which truly is enough for 2 people easily. Pernil (pork) is 100% fantastic GET THAT IF YOU GO.... Bistec (cube steak) was good too....but if you are not familiar with Latin food....it tastes more like beef stew steak as opposed to grilled steak....it was very good though. ****I haven't tried their Mofongo...that would be the next test. Gun to my head....if you make me look for a CON....I'd have to say that I think they close at 7pm...which might put a wrinkle in dinner plans sometimes....but you'll just have to go there earlier. I went here a few days ago. I could smell the food as soon as I entered the door. the food was good! & very large portion sizes. Actually too much but I was hungry so it was cool. The rice was on point, just wish I had more beans and plantains. Also the rotisserie chicken could have used some Latin seasonings. Oh! It was fairly priced too. The food is good but the service is VERY BAD and the are ALWAYS running out of food. The young ladies working there are always rude , especially if it's close to closing time. So happy I came across this place. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive. The empanadas were flavorful/delicious and not greasy. The potato and macaroni salad were flavorful and fresh as well. But let's get to the most important part, THE PERNIL. Honestly hands down probably the best Pernil I've ever had. Far from dry and tasteless. Just the perfect amount of seasoning. I'm not a fan of salty food and this was perfect. The sandwiches was good although next time I should skipped out in the lettuce/tomato. Horrible there was a plastic bag that contained the ground beef inside of my empanada. I could of choked let alone harm my unborn child. No thanks ever again and by the way manager brushed it off like it was nothing as if this sort of thing happens all the time. She then continued to offer me a free dessert for my trouble. WORSE FOOD OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY!! decided to try it along with some coworkers and what was delivered to me was very disgusting. It took over 1 hr and 30 minutes for food to be delivered. I went out of my way to go to this establishment due to rave from a friend. The counter is set up like a subway counter but seems like a majority of the food comes from the back. The food was good the flavor was what I expected. However, the place gets very Smokey from their rotisserie. They need to put a duct near it. Other than that, if you're in the area stop in. Not sure where to begin with this review however I will say if you look at my past reviews I rarely give 2 stars. I will start with saying that I grew up in a neighborhood where these kinds of restaurants were accessible every street corner. That being said I was willing to give a try. Barely a greeting when walking into the counter. After spending a few min looking at the menu I was ready to order and patiently waited for the two employees to finish their conversation. I ordered two family combination that come with rice, bean and fried bananas. When checking out the cashier was bagging the food and the container of beans spilled over in the bag (lid was on) however she made no attempt the stand it upright to fix it. Instead she pushed it towards me as though my order was complete. I was clearly annoyed and started taking items out of the bag to reorganize items in a safe way to transport the food. Instead of offering to help she watched me and looked at me as though I had no idea what I was doing. I explained that I have about 15 min drive and didn't want the the food spilling over and her reply was "there is a lid on everything". I stacked them and tied a secure knot of top of the bag and she continue to watch me. I later found out from my 12 year old daughter that she rolled her eyes at me. Upon getting home to no surprise the flimsy plastic lids that had the pernil and the rice were cracked. BIG SUGGESTION: invest in better food containers and bags for take out. After spending $53.00 on two family combo the last thing anyone wants to come home to is spilled food in their bag. The food was simply OKAY, nothing horrible and nothing to rave about either. I will say that had the service and attention to detail not been so bad I would of given it a second try but with all that I mentioned above I WILL NOT ever spend money here again. read more
