I came here after needing a replacement top for my navel piercing as mine had came off without me knowing it. It is super easy to schedule an appointment online as well. I did have some help putting in the piercing since my temp one was a 14g and the original one was a 12g. It was much appreciated. There is parking onsite in the back which is nice. They are basically appointment only (technically walk-ins are allowed, but they're usually booked up because they're so great). Staff is so professional and make you feel comfortable. Everyone I encountered here is a sweetie pie. There's a huge selection of jewelry and if you can't find what you're looking for they probably have it at the other Adorn location. Ares is one of the gentlest piercers I've ever had, I barely noticed they were taking out my septum seam ring or changing out the top to a nostril stud, by the time they were done is when I realized. I made an appointment online to come in and get my nose pierced the same day. When I arrived I was greeted by the incredibly friendly staff who got me checked in and talked me through the process. I was shown the different types of jewelry in different price ranges to make sure I found something I liked and was with my budget. There were so many options it was hard to choose, but I'm happy with what I selected. While I waited for my piercer, I was able to sit in a waiting area that had water if I needed it. Soon enough it was my time to head upstairs and I met Colter, who would be handling my piercing. Colter made sure I knew what to expect and talked me through every step of the way. This is my 3rd time getting my nose pierced and was hands down the best experience. The entire team at Adorn was kind, informative, and welcoming. I've been to other shops where it can feel like you're bothering them but this was the opposite. I got a septum piercing and my mom got an ear lobe piercing done by Cherish. We were able to snag a back to back appointment. Setting up the appointment was easy and straightforward. They send out a few reminder emails prior to your appointment including the intake form and aftercare video. When we arrived we had some time to look at jewelry and waiting just a few minutes while Cherish set up their station for us. When it was time to get pierced, Cherish was very thorough and explained everything step by step. They were shooting some jokes here and there which I appreciated because I was nervous. First time here, honestly I wanted to love them. But the result made me not too happy. I wanted the helix up a little higher. He dotted it higher but pierced it lower for some odd reason. Also, I was told my total was going to be a total of $210 and I ended up paying $285 for the upper Helix!! (I didn't even buy the after care spray because I just had another piercing done the week prior somewhere else and had purchased it there) I feel like he made it super tight and there is no room for my ear to breathe and totally failed on the placement agreement that was set prior to piercing it. Totally bummed out! Now I regret going here and not back to my recent place (Iris) because I had no patience's because they couldn't squeeze me in today! Kicking myself in the ass right about now. Update: the manager Ben spoke with me and gave me a few options. We ended up removing my first piercing and he Re-pierced it for me with no charge, however, I still had to pay for another jewelry which was a little annoying. Hannah sucks and has a mean face and a bad attitude. I had an appointment at 2:20. I sat and watched while she sat on a stool in the back for the first fifteen minutes of my appointment, doing nothing. I asked if she planned to see me and was told "There is eight minutes left in your appointment." I finally just took my jewelry (well, she chucked it at me) and left. Apparently the way they run their shop is, they expect you to be there on time so they can make you wait until literally the last three minutes of the appointment. She totally used my entire appointment as a BREAK. It's so stupid. Called back and tried to talk to manager Chloe, who literally tried to gaslight me by telling me I hadn't actually *seen what I had seen*, which was Hannah. Sitting by herself. On a stool. She also then tried to tell me it took her twenty minutes to clean a pair of stud earrings. I laughed so hard. They weren't that dirty and if it takes you twenty minutes to clean earrings, wow. Loved how the process was a breeze. I reached and was immediately greeted by someone, my temperature was taken and sanitizer was sprayed on my hands prior to entering. Adorn East is a house and there's a driveway on the left hand side that leads to a small parking lot (for those of you driving). I head in for my 11:50am appointment on a weekday. It was fairly busy. Alex was friendly and accommodating throughout. He led me upstairs, asked me about the placement of the piercings, and made sure he talked through the entire process. While this place is reputable and the piercers seem great, there is either a problem with management or the employees. While bringing my friend to get a piercing, I asked to view jewelry but was told I couldn't because if the COVID 1 person policy. Totally understandable. However, as I'm sitting outside (since I can't go in) a woman walks up and ask what the deal is. She wanted to look at jewelry. I told her what I experienced and she waited. To my surprise, she was greeted and taken into the shop. She mentioned she did not have an appointment. If they are too short staffed to have someone help with jewelry they should reduce the appointments they have for piercings. But it gives the feeling that they want to treat customers like cattle. Get them in, get them pierced, collect the money, and send them on their way. There's nothing wrong with that, but being unwilling to help with other things is frankly disappointing, given what high respect I had for the shop. Had. Update: my friend had a great experience with their piercer who was helpful and very nice. However the same individual(not the piercer) who told me I couldn't enter, grossly overcharged my friend without letting them know ahead of time that it would be more than 3x the $40+jewelry they expected. The total cost was over $150. Seeing the receipt, they charged $90 for a horshoe and balls. They never provided pricing or that info ahead of time. My friend was shown a QR code that didn't work, then was told they would be texted the pricing but only received the release documents. read more

I was also relieved they were able to re-open my old septum piercing vs having to re-pierce it. Came to Portland determined to get two piercings as a birthday present to myself. I booked my appointment ahead of time. Their website appt process was easy. Online waiver forms were a breeze. Seth was such a great spirit and so kind. He was attentive explaining everything he was going to do before doing the piercing. He gets five super stars! I did notice inconsistent pricing from their website, waiver forms, and what's posted at the register. I was prepared to pay more than I did, but if I knew the price I would've done another piercing or upgraded my jewelry. Also wish there was more transparency on my receipt with a breakdown of each piercing and the jewelry cost. It just has one line item "misc" that had one price. I got a handful of piercings by Cherish. The whole experience was great! Cherish is like an awesome pediatrician administering vaccinations. Cherish will instruct you how to breathe to relax, tell you how good you are doing, and bandage you up as needed with some super cute bandaids. The front staff are excellent as well. They helped me pick out pieces based on my inspiration pics and anatomy. They were very quick to tell me the total cost for the multiple pieces I picked and the service. Really disappointed in this service I had done. I came in for my second lobe piercing, I recently got my first lobes done in May at "Straight to the Point" in Portland. It is now August. They're healed and I have had absolutely no problems with the first lobe piercing. I have a couple of complaints with my service from Adorn. 1. The brownish red haired woman was extremely short and dismissive with me. I wanted to use studs I got from the same manufacturer that adorn offers, while I understand I can't use the same earring "due to Oregon law" you didn't have to talk to me like I was an idiot. It wasn't nice to be short and snippy with a girl who just got my first piercing super recently. It was clear I didn't understand but you literally walked away from me mid sentence. She was also taking food orders in the middle of me telling her what I needed done and wanted to check out, professional While I did talk to another blonde woman organizing jewelry who definitely helped me, she offered me solutions rather than just telling me "it is what it is." 2. Thanks to the blonde woman and the male tattooed piercer, I was able to use the same gem top from my flat back set jewelry, which was really awesome. They cleaned them and we were good to go. I bought smaller backs for the future when they are healed and I can shorten them. No problems there. The problem is that my ears were not clamped, he just went in with his finger and a cork. My left second lobe piercing was not straight. It now sits 1-2cm off from the right one. It's OBVIOUS. It is pierced at an angle so it is leaning to the left and makes the lobes not look even. 3. I bought a nice pair of gold opal dangle earrings, I asked him to replace the firsts with those! And he did. I now have, two hugely bruised second piercings, and a completely infected left ear. My first hole on my left ear is swollen, red, and puss is coming out of it. I am fully aware that it is NOT the jewelry that caused that has caused the infection, because both ears would have been irritated. Not just the left side that got pierced crooked. The piercer did a great job of making me feel comfortable, but I just wish my left ear was pierced straight because I planned to get a third but I now have no space for one without jamming it too close to the other CROOKED earring. I've now cleaned out both of my ears with the spray they gave me and used hydrogen peroxide to stop the bleeding from my left lobe. It was not pleasant. I will not be returning to ADORN. I really was hopeful with all the good reviews, but next time I will just have "Straight to the Point" correct these. EDIT: The owner has agreed to help me out and re do the left side when the side heals! Very happy they reached out and offered to correct the piercing. read more

Adorn is a professional piercing shop that values customer service and quality of car. Came with my friend to get her second ear lobe piercing and we were extremely happy with our experience. Arrived without appointment on a Thursday night at 6:30pm, picked out an earring and then waited about 15 minutes to actually get the piercing done. Seth, our piercer, was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was meticulous with keeping everything sterilized... he changed his gloves 5 times during the piercing process!! He had my friend lay down on a padded bench (the ones in doctors offices) and did the piercing by hand. What's cool about this piercing is that once the piercing heals, she can replace the back part of the earring for a shorter one (once the swelling stops), and click it onto the jewel/front part of the earring so you don't need to buy a whole new earring. Pricing: $35 for the piercing. ~$100 for a single side solid gold earring with jewel. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the piercing experience. I definitely will be coming to a professional piercing shop like this one (and not Claire's) if I ever want to get a piercing! read more

I spontaneously decided to get a 3rd ear lobe piercing during my trip to Portland and just searched on yelp for a good piercing parlor and stumbled across this one! It was an incredible experience. The wait was a bit long at 6 PM on a Thursday night for some reason. The guy who pierced my ear was Seth and he was FANTASTIC!!! Loved him. He made me feel so comfortable and patiently explained everything from how he was licensed to the importance of sterility and why piercing parlors are generally a better place to get your ears pierced in comparison to Claire's. I've never gotten my any piercings at a parlor and so it was great to experience the use of a needle rather than a staple or a gun. If you're in need of a great piercing parlor check this place out! I lost one of my forward helix earrings and initially made an appointment with J just to change out the helix jewelry for new pieces but we spontaneously decided to add a conch piercing once I expressed my interest in one to her and had the opportunity to ask a few questions. The jewelry selection was vast and seriously gorgeous. The front desk check in staff (I believe it was Zandr) was so sweet and helpful and patiently priced out several different pieces I was interested in. Nothing felt like a bother. I also got to meet Alex who was also very friendly and warm. Overall, I felt very welcomed in what has the potential to be a seriously intimidating experience. The place was spotless and a good amount of time was spent going over how to care for a piercing, which I appreciated. My piercer, J, was friendly, kind, and very clear in guiding me through the piercing. She was extremely knowledgeable and had a calm, confident demeanor which set me at ease. I told her I'd eventually like to wear a ring through the conch, and she really took her time to find the perfect placement that would look good with a ring as well as a baguette. Long overdue review for my favorite piercing spot on the planet. I had my conch pierced over 5 years ago and had such a great experience that I kept coming back. The staff was very kind and easygoing. My piercing healed flawlessly and I've never had an issue with it.
