The work he did was BAD patchup, never removed the old roof! HE NEVER PULLED PERMITS please take my advice and go with a professional licensed contractor I am in the process of filing complaints with the state contractors licensing board and getting reimbursed for the new roof I have to place since he lied about pulling permits. I have been trying to resolve this with Gustavo who at first was willing to fix the leak but (surprise) did not want to pull permits because he did a poor job piling layers on top of an old roof. He is no longer responding to calls, texts, or emails. In a month Gustavo if he is licensed may lose it, don't go for nice. I am regretting it.

Not that I blame other business owners for not answering the phone on their days off, but I have to say I admired the fact that Gustavo obviously goes above and beyond in this regard. I told him about the situation and mentioned that my aunt may need a new roof just to get homeowner's insurance. I told him I thought it was silly because the roof doesn't seem to have any damage, and it doesn't leak WHATSOEVER. He told me had a call just like this about a week ago and he said sometimes you can just write a roofing inspection report and show it to the insurance company, and you don't have to do a whole new roof after all. Well hot, diggity damn! I love it when I see honest business owners tell the truth in order to try to save people money. This guy easily could have been the first contractor out to see us (since he was the first person who I was able to get ahold of). Instead of trying to make a quick buck off my aunt, he offered a solution that could potentially save her over $10,000! Thanks so much Gustavo. We paid directly for these. The kitchen looks great. My only word of caution is I was quoted 5,000 and a weeks time. When it was all said and done we paid over 9,000 and it took a month and a half. Some of the extra expenses were for: redoing the flooring, painting (I paid for the supplies), removing the old cabinets/dishwasher, and replacing the Sheetrock. None of these items were included in the original quote, but would seem obvious things that need to be done. So sit down and have a conversation about the "extras" that will come up. Expect to pay significantly more than agreed on and for it to take a lot longer.

Everything is done with top notch quality, great attention to details, and exceptional workmanship. They carefully repaired two small sections of stucco and clapboard siding where the roof meets the wall, and also did an excellent job with the flashing throughout, including carefully seal off all corners to rodent proof the attic. The gutter installation was also excellent. They built wrap-around corners for a nice finished look, and carefully mounted and painted all the downspouts. Another example of their quality work is when they did the neat and beautiful pipework in the attic, when we needed them to reroute existing vents from one side of the roof to the other (preparation for solar panel installation.)
