First time here, was influenced by the ratings on google, a coworker and I went for lunch on a Monday. We ordered the following: I ordered: Half Chicken Picatta and Half Champagne Chicken- 10/10 I could not decide between the two, the server came in and solved my problem lol, they had a special where you could pick 2 items to try, best decision ever. Fried calamari- 10/10 crunchy, fresh, tasty, I walkway go for the calamari, did not disappoint. My co-worker ordered: Half Chicken Picatta a half Chicken Special- he said 10/10 same as me very flavorful, fresh. Bruschetta- 10/10 basaltic vinaigrette came in clutch, all of the flavors in the one bite will blow your mind. Overall want to give our experience a 10/10, the server was excellent, knew his menu, I believe he was also he bar tender, would definitely ask for him again, the ambience is chill, feel like home, we felt like we were eating at home. Highly recommend you try it out, thank me later.
Martini Monday is one of my favorites. Delicious, cold and refreshing martini's served all day. The price is discounted and the selection is great. I do think it's time for them to mix it up and add some new options. I switched it up today and selected the Raspberry Lemonade. It was perfect and tasted really good. My Sicilian Shrimp and Fettuccine Pasta was amazing as usual. It's well seasoned and spicy, but flavorful. The shrimp are cooked perfectly. Service was good my waitress was sweet and friendly. The manager is always welcoming and helpful. I left feeling happy, satisfied and full. Good food equals Good mood! Martini Mondays is a must and I will keep coming back to eat and drink.
Staying at a nearby hotel. (Hotel Dax is a very nice, new boutique Marriott property.) We found Kenny's via YELP - as always!! The food was outstanding - Caesar salad, fresh- baked bread, meatballs, chicken piccata, fettuccine carbonara, gnocchi and tiramisu. All items were excellent. They do something really cool and unique...you can do a half & half of any entree or appetizer. Allows you to sample more of their terrific menu items. Cali (Calihan) is an outstanding server. She was fun and helpful and very knowledgeable. One of the managers - Libby - even came by our table to chat. There's a "neighborhood joint" feel to this place. We're planning to return in the future!!
This was my first time having Italian in Texas! The ambiance was perfection. The Bartender made an exceptional craft martini & the FOOD was delicious. I had the East Coast Linguini. My friend ordered the mushroom raviolis & we shared the crab stuffed mushrooms! *drool* The service from our bartender Jaime and her barback (I wish I would have got her name) was attentive & engaging. They walked us through every question. 10/10 experience over all.

She was super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us recommendations on which she prefers herself and what are some of the more common meals. I ended up taking her recommendation of the mushroom ravioli, which would not have been originally on my list and it turned out to be great. The food is always great here but having great service just puts a cherry on top of the experience! We sat on the patio and the guests were quite loud and there were a lot of kids as well, which increased the volume. I haven't normally seen it this loud. Inside it's much quieter and gives off a nicer vibe. For food recommendations, the chicken scallopini is my favorite, the mushroom ravioli was good as well, and my friend gets a carbonara every time. I also had the pomtini which was very tasty.
This was hands down the kindest service received! The restaraunt is so nice for a casual or even a bit dressy date with the dim ambiance and table candle lights. The food is definitely a comfort food spot I would come to when I have cravings or want something homemade! I came here for the first time on my birthday and got a small gift from the manager as well as a free cannoli! Will definitely come back and worth the drive from Austin :)
This place is incredible! We have been meaning to come here for a while because of all the excellent reviews and I can definitely agree that this place deserves it! I started with an espresso martini without optional burbon cold foam (which sounds amazing). Very tasty and definitely strong espresso. For apps we started with crispy arancini which came with the best red sauce I've ever had at a restaurant. (homemade) pesto sauce it also came with was a little too creamy and I didn't like it paired with the arancini. Our server gave us complementary bruschetta which was by far the best I've had in the Dallas area! Our main was the mushroom ravioli and Asiago gnocchi which was both excellent and for sure would get again. Creamy, flavorful and fresh. The truffle oil on the mushroom ravioli was my favorite. I would for sure come here again but with reservations ahead of time. An hour wait is definitely and hour wait.
We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and I see it has been more than 10 years since my last review so it is time for an update. We had a reservation because this restaurant gets very busy. It has the feel of an old time East Coast Italian restaurant. The restaurant was clean. There is also a bar with TV and the winter Olympics were on, so it almost has a sports bar feel. But they have only bottled beer, no beers on tap. We are big fans of Kenny's restaurants. The best IMO are Wood Fired grill, Smokehouse, and East Coast pizza. As usual, service was great. We were seated and our waitress Maradith appeared very quickly. She was pleasant and efficient throughout our meal. They start you out with fresh, hot bread with butter. Delicious. While the kid had her usual spaghetti with red sauce, the wife and I split an order of bruschetta. It is very good, but beware of large pieces of garlic! I also had the Blue Cheese salad which is essentially a deconstructed wedge salad. I liked it a lot. For entrees, the wife had the seafood linguini and there were some problems. The mussels were tough and chewy to the point of inedible. They smelled fishy. The clams were also chewy. The calamari was very good though. This was a disappointment given that it was among the most expensive dishes on the menu. The wife regretted her choice. Her general rule is not to order seafood in Dallas and she wished she stuck to her rule. I really enjoyed my Bolognese. It was a large portion with a generous amount of meat. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was not acidic. I could only eat about half of it. For dessert, we shared a piece of "New York style" cheesecake. It was good, but not as good as in New York. Prices are reasonable in my opinion. Overall, except for the wife's seafood it was an enjoyable meal.
Kenny's Italian Kitchen is a long-standing Italian restaurant under the "Kenny" group. Known for great service, good food, and a casual atmosphere, while the menu is limited to popular dishes, you won't go wrong visiting Kenny's. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kenny's Italian Kitchen reminds of a visit to an Italian Grandmother's house. You're greeted with a smile, there are tons of photos on the wall, and on my Sunday evening visit, it was packed. Kenny's was full of people, tons of energy, and I felt very welcome. 1 Star. Service - "Welcome, family!" were the words out of our server's mouth. While I already felt welcome, I settled in even more. Our server was super friendly, but the entire staff was equally inviting. We asked for extra bread (no problem) and our water was always filled. 1 Star. Food - Kenny's Italian Kitchen has a very good menu - but it's limited. For example, I wanted to order a Caprese Salad (a standard Italian dish), but this item is not on the menu. But that's ok, because what's on the menu is good. Really good. No Caprese? No problem! I started with the Bruschetta but instead of describing it, look at the photo and see the fresh, plump tomatoes. The Mushroom Ravioli was even better. The soft ravioli sat in a smoked gouda cream sauce with hints of smoked ham and white truffle oil. I completely devoured my dish with a satisfied smile. So, while the menu didn't have everything I wanted, what I had was excellent. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. When a restaurant is packed on a Sunday night, it's gotta be good. While Kenny's isn't in my regular rotation, my experience was fantastic, and I would definitely come back. 1 Star.
The whole experience here was great! 10/10 since we got here! Treated us amazingly. Extra special since it was my kids bdays. They treated us like superstars! Loved it. From bartender, host, waiter to the manager!! Two thumbs up ! Food was amazing! Everything we had was delicious! Amazing time we had!!! Highly recommended!!! Can't wait to go back!!
This place was awesome! I was torn between ordering two dishes and our server recommended the option of getting half of one entree and half of another for the price of just one entree. This allowed me to get a taste of both. I was sooo happy with this because I genuinely enjoyed both meals. Food came out hot and tasted great. Worth the price I loved that the room wasn't so bright so it added to the moody ambiance. The portraits all around the walls give it a very unique vibe as well. Would highly recommend!
Wow! This place was an authentic Italian experience from the moment you walked in the door. Gluten free is hard to do but gluten free that tastes amazing and to do it in a way that makes you ask the staff multiple times, "are you sure this is gluten free?" is incredible. If we lives in Dallas they would have our picture on the wall as well Cali was our waitress and she was friendly, knowledgeable, and suggested the Sicilian shrimp...my wife said this was the best Italian meal she has ever had!

The atmosphere felt very homey and warm. I loved all the pictures and decor. I was really excited to eat here because of the gluten-free options that they had. We got seated right away and within minutes, our waiter came and took our order. At the end the chef gave me a card with a voucher for my birthday. This you really don't see at places! The food was really good and the service was amazing. But I took off a star because the waiter brought out a bruschetta and said we should try it. This is something we did not order and so assumed it was on the house because it was given to us. But it wasn't. We were charged for that and I also ordered a glass of wine from the happy hour menu which was supposed to be $7 but got charged $12. That kinda busted my bubble. I had paid before looking at the receipt, and didn't see her after so we just left. read more

The best bruschetta I've ever had, hands down! All of the Kenny's establishments are amazing with allergies and my gluten free boyfriend was able to get bread for this appetizer as well as sub out the gnocchi on our main course. The sauce was phenomenal! If you give them a 2 days heads up you can get anything on the menu gluten free (such as lasagna and fried calamari!) They hire the best servers and your water is never empty. It's not roomy, so expect to be more piled in with the other patrons and it's a little loud because of that ... but overall really nice place with great food! read more

This rating is specifically only for take out order. Kenny's Italian Kitchen is a great restaurant that offers a cozy and comforting experience. Known for their classic Italian-American food items. Had an opportunity to do take out and it came out disappointing during lunch hours. Truthfully not worth $17 for this portion. I suggest avoiding ordering their entrees if they continue to serve this portion for Lunch. read more

What an amazing experience we had tonight at Kenny's! Our server Jeff was absolutely amazing. He walked us through the menu & when we mentioned that my daughter had celiac disease and could not have gluten he explained all of the gf options available to her. She even got to enjoy delicious gf bread. The gf pasta was amazing and my entree which was crab stuffed shrimp was superb! The ambiance in this place was wonderful as well. The restaurant was packed and so was the bar. We will definitely be back again to enjoy the food. read more
I have no idea what took me so long to get to Kenny's Italian when I've been frequenting Kenny's wood fire for close to 10 years now. What can I say? The food is seriously good, period. Italian food is not complicated, simple high quality ingredients shine on their own. The atmosphere and the staff are great. Not only are they warm and welcoming, but the space Itself somehow feels cozy and intimate all while being so vastly open. There is intentionality here, and it works. But what separates Kenny's Italian from pretty much any Italian restaurant I've been to is the flexibility. You can pretty much customize or mix and match any dish you want, without paying a steep upcharge. With that being said, nothing really matters if the food isn't good. Kenny's is pretty spot on. From the warm bread to the absolutely delicious mushroom ravioli. There's not much to criticize here. What else could I have expected from the team that brought us Kenny's Wood fire? read more

A meal so good I didn't even take pictures of the rest of the food I had. The dining area was super cute and made me feel like i was in little Italy and the service was above and beyond. We got espresso martinis which were super strong. Arancini had a beautiful crisp and the inside melted in my mouth. Caesar salad was fresh and had a hint of lemon and the soft croutons were a delightful surprise. The shrimp fettuccine and mushroom ravioli was great too. My favorite thing about this restaurant was that you can get half of 2 entrees instead of committing to a single one. So perfect for people who want to try multiple things! read more

The place gets pretty busy, I highly recommend making reservations. This place is has a very lively, cozy and warm atmosphere. Everybody seemed to be having a great time and was very friendly. Our server (Cassie) was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the carbonara; it was very creamy. I do wish I could taste a bit more of the egg yolk, but I still enjoyed it. Spaghetti bolognese tasted authentic and hearty. Baked ziti with sausage hits the spot for hubby. We were also given free cannonili for my son's birthday which was an added bonus . I ordered cappuccino pie for dessert which I enjoyed and the espresso ice cream was awesome! I also like the fact that they check if anyone has any allergies, it made me more comfortable since my son has a few allergies. I really love going to Kenny's. I wish it was closer, I would visit more often. read more

Lovely way to spend an evening with friends... Our hostess seated us almost right away. Quite a busy place, glad we made reservations. Beware though that Parking in that area was a mess. Ivan our server was great, checking on us multiple times with refills and wine pours. Food was served promptly after we ordered and was delish as well. After Ivan got us the bread for the table, we ordered the Crispy Arancini, which was just fabulous. For dinner, the Shrimp Scampi and the Mushroom Ravioli were also great Entrees. We went to Kenny's for our quarterly cousin dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. The drinks were better. The place was cramped and I see why. The food is good. Our server was attentive and she knew when to come check on us and when to leave us alone. To me that is great service. Had a really great dinner at Kenny's with family. The atmosphere was great, cozy and casual, and everyone working was pleasant and helpful. Our server, Belle, was very friendly and helped with recommendations. We had the prosciutto fried mozarella sticks and I've never had anything so tasty. We decided to try two smaller sized entrees and they were delicious! This is our new favorite Italian place. Can't wait to come back. read more

10/10 in all aspects! Brought a new hire here for lunch, and it could not have been a better choice! Was able to make a lunch time reservation, same day! Granted, you don't have a lot of time slots to choose from, but you pick what you can!!! Our server, Ryan! I hope he reads this or can someone pass along the message for me...........YOU ARE PHENOMENAL! So freakin helpful and tentative, just the absolute best! Came here to celebrate my wife and I's anniversary and pregnancy, and the staff really made us feel special! The kindness shown by our waitress was above and beyond, alongside being very attentive to our food and drinks for refills. The food was excellent and quick to the table. Does Kenny's have a private room that could hold 20 people?
Yes. It can even do more if you call a head. There’s this other room where I seen them sit many people. This place is amazing for group gatherings.
Hi...is there still construction in the parking lot near Kenny's? Parking was hard to find due to this the last time I was there but I love this place.
Yes Kay! It sure is. And it seems it will be for a while. I feel you, it was a small parking lot to begin with and now it's worse. Oh well... I guess we just have to get some extra steps in before we eat all those delis pastas 😉
Do you take reservations?
Yes! Please go on OPEN TABLE. Weekends can be tough so jump on them early in the week. Try the Chicken Parm please!!
Does anyone know if they're still open? They haven't been answering their phones for a week now?
They are open. They are having a hard time with there phone line. It's always super busy. If you call a day ahead early around 3pm you can do a reservation. The weight is usually around 45min if you don't have reservations
I have a first date here this weekend, what should I wear? Is it super casual, little bit dressy?
Casual is fine
Are the noodles made in house?
Not sure. There was nothing special or amazing that makes me think they are.
I see a lot of pictures on yelp that have half of one dish and half of another but I don't see an option of combination plates on the menu. For instance if I wanted chicken Parmesan and cheese raviolis, do I have to order two full entrees?
Our server helped us...when we asked her she was nice enough to tell us what can be combined and what was not.
