We drove in with a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek and drove off the lot with a beautiful 2018 GLE 350. The reason for the trade was simple for us. We wanted a vehicle that could tow a fair bit and this beauty can tow up to 7000 PLUS lbs and even better, to join the Mercedes family. While I loved my Subaru, driving it (compared to a Mercedes) was like flying coach to Tokyo. In the Mercedes, we have totally upgraded to business class with a call button to our own concierge (laughing) - not that we will use it, but just in case, one never knows. I was told that the front brakes had plenty of life in them. Next day squealing was as loud as ever. Contacted MBGB and spoke with Vera. She was professional, caring and sympathetic. She had the service manager, Anthony, give me a call and he told me that he would have the technician take a look at the front brakes to see if they could figure out what was wrong. My service adviser, Bill Thompson, called me on Friday, knowing that the storm was coming and had my car picked up on Friday so it could be serviced. My car was delivered on Tuesday with no squealing noise. MB of GB has the most caring people on their staff. Vera, first point of contact, outstanding customer service. Anthony, professional and compassionate and made me feel like a very valued customer. They have gone outside to show me where the fuse box is that I couldn't find, gave me helpful advice to prevent issues, are reasonably priced and have the parts I need when I need it. Recently I needed a very odd battery for a project car and looked online for who would carry it. Despite all the big chain stores showing it in stock, no one had it. I remembered DAS, we aren't very local to it and they not only had it but said they'd hold it for me until I got there. Wow. Great service and it's a local business. Lastly, to the woman who was upset about not being allowed to park when she needed the emergency vet. There are literally 4 spots for the auto parts store and a subway. The emergency vet is in the next building and has parking in the rear. Would you be upset that the police wouldn't let you park on Tarrytown road? I understand the urgency of your situation... I have been there but park illegally in front of the vet and once your animal is inside with them... go park your car. It's not the auto part store's responsibility to provide you a place to park that prohibits them from doing business. That review was not necessary. This is a good business... my opinion anyway

They are the real deal--this is a completely family run business and they treat each and every customer with respect and honesty. I am used to going to mechanics who make you feel dumb if you don't understand something or want it explained. At JC Auto Repair everyone is always friendly and willing to answer any questions in detail. You can also trust them, they have told me when I did not need certain repairs although Mavis told me I needed many expensive items. Their prices are fair, and even if an item or two could be slightly more expensive, it is 100% worth it., and absolutely worth the piece of mind that they are doing it right the first time. John the owner is amazing-he is super friendly and takes pride in the work they do-he has been a mechanic for over 50 yrs! Over the years I have tried many mechanics and generally they are in it for the money and could actually care less about their customers. Even when calling and talking to the office staff (daughter of the family) they are so kind and patient, and at times I was calling multiple times to get clarification on a service I need etc. It is so refreshing to find a mechanic that is honest, ethical and appreciates your business, and offers amazing customer service. You can tell they have pride in the work they do and it shows. It really is amazing to see how a locally run business can operate in a way that the big corporations cannot.
