Apparently people who order parts online don't really need parts, we are just playing on the computer. I ordered and paid for items online. About 3 hours later, I went to Advance to pick the parts up. The young employee could not find my order. I showed him a screenshot on my phone with the order number and their store number clearly visible. As we were trying to figure out why he couldn't find my order, the older employee (who's name starts with an F) walks to the front of the store and informs us that he cancelled the order. He says another customer walked in and needed the same thing so he cancelled my order to give it to them. Obviously walk-in customers take precedence over online customers. One of the big reasons to order online is to keep from having to run from store to store looking for parts. You can go directly to a store "you know" has the part. He basically made me waste my gas, time, and money because he thinks a person standing in front of him takes priority over people who use the internet. I now wonder if I should waste my time buying from Advance Auto Parts. To add injury to insult, he stated the other customer was making his purchase at the exact time I purchased online. When I got home, I checked. When things are done electronically there is a time stamp on each transaction. I placed my order at 5:17pm. The other customer made there purchase at 7:58pm. read more
