The second time I went to pick up a battery for an online order. I was made to wait over 10 minutes when there were people doing nothing and having a conversation behind the counter. The battery was sitting for over five months and was shot not serving any use to me. Batteries are supposed to be fresh and not on the shelf more than 3 months for optimal performance. The third time I returned the core which was a similar experience of waiting over the incompetent and inconsiderate workers. The last time I was here; today, I returned the shot battery I purchased and was made to wait while the same workers were ignoring customers and wasting time. When telling the worker to hurry up and provide better customer service I was called a jackass and threatened to not be helped. I did not curse at the cashier I simply told him how poor his customer service was. He also said he doesn't have to provide good customer service. Do not patronize this business. They are among the worst people you can encounter. Completely incompetent, inconsiderate, and bitter country losers.

However, I made an appointment for 10:30am, and sat and watched everyone who came in after me get their cars finished while mine sat in the parking lot. I had to wait in the construction zone of a "waiting area" over two hours. Finally I said something and Moses, realizing I had been passed over, offered to do my car next. I was at this Pep Boys for over 3 hours for an oil change, and they pretty much forgot about me. I've never had to wait this long anywhere for such a simple service. I've been a long time loyal customer to Pep Boys for almost 15 years, but this visit made me reconsider this brand. My car needed additional labor after the inspection. If they had not taken over 3 hours, I would have happily scheduled it with them. However, I will be taking my business elsewhere if that's how customers are treated. The service at Pep Boys has declined company-wide in recent years. They need upgraded waiting areas instead of dirty back rooms with people squished together. It's not the cheapest option, either. I was already only coming back due to customer loyalty but in this climate of companies giving less and charging more, I'm happy going elsewhere.

That was my first mistake. When I arrived for my appointment, I immediately noticed the price on their screen was almost $200 higher than what I had already paid online. I pointed this out three separate times to Paulson at the service desk. Each time, he brushed off my concern like it was amusing, insisting it would "fix itself" once everything was "zeroed out." It didn't. When I returned to pick up my car, another employee tried to charge me the inflated price. I once again explained the situation and showed proof of payment. Instead of resolving it, he scribbled my information on a scrap of paper and told me he'd "call in the morning." He never did. From there, the situation only spiraled further. The tire change itself was botched, and I had to return three separate times to correct their mistakes. One of those visits turned into an absolutely absurd six-hour ordeal while they slowly tried to fix issues they caused in the first place. Even after all that, they still charged me the wrong amount. Customer service has been completely useless, leaving me no choice but to dispute the charge through my credit card company. And as a final cherry on top, during my entire six-hour wait, the staff was also scrambling because they lost another customer's car keys. This place is disorganized, incompetent, and completely unprofessional from start to finish. Save yourself the time, money, and stress. DO NOT COME HERE.
