Incompetent manager. I needed a Fuel Filler Neck and brought the part in with me. I watched the manager do two searches and said, "Nope, we don't have it." I then asked was she sure she was looking it up correctly, to which she got offended. I said aren't you suppose to be able to find this part and she said they weren't mechanics. Wow how can people be so rude and disrespectful to women. The young heavy person gave me the hardest time ever just walked in and asked for windshield wipers and at the end he mess up big time because he gave me the wrong size. The reason I am disappointed at this young dude is because he was so disrespectful and arguing with me back and forth like he was the owner. I kindly told him Kia Forte hatch back and he said this is the right size so I turned the car on out the wipers on and the lease get side was hitting the wall which meant the wrong size. I went back in and he yelled at me across in front customers am with the customers you need to wait. Thank God there was another sales person that was very sweet and kind look at the computer and gave me the right size. I told him what was wrong with the Mexican young person that he was so rude and mean and he said I will let the manager know. So th Mexican guys told the white sales person just giver the right size and we would put it like defect. Auto zone is loosing merchandise if the Mexican guy would had look right and had given me the right size he was too cocky that he made a mistake and the store is loosing merchandise. I must say I'm kind of surprised this store has such a low rating. I'm 16 years old and just got my first car, a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4 with 188k miles. It needed an oil change and I was anxious to get it done, but wanted to do it by hand so I can get the experience. On 4/19/24 I showed up around midday, with no clue as to what I needed or what to do. I was offered help by two seperate very kind and helpful employees. One introduced me to the deals on oil and oil filters and gave me a rough estimate on what oils and filters I would need. When I went back to ask for more insight on what would work best, the second employee walked with me and talked me through exactly what I would need and why I would need it. I ended up getting two filters (one for this change, a Mobil 1 M1-204A, the second for my next, a K&N HP2004), and two five quart containers of Mobil 1 High mileage oil. In the end, with all the deals, I was able to get all of this for just under $85! The deals that they showed me and pushed for me to consider saved me more than $30 dollars what I would have paid without! The oil change went very well, and now my Jeep runs super smooth. I went back later that day at around 7:30 (they're the only local store open late, which is nice) to recycle the old oil, and the same employee who helped me with my purchase helped dispose of the old oil and even let me keep the container. The store had a very vast and neatly organized selection, and I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking to get car parts. They can expect my business again soon. read more

this people don't know how to talk with the costumers.I and my wife went to the store at 145 North Gary , Carol Stream IL, and automatically I get a negative answer even when they did know what was my problem, and they didn't try to help me with nothing , it's a terrible place to go for help . The worst customer service ever. Eric Rios is the GM there. I have ordered a part for my car from him on March 10. ($344) Been calling him almost everyday and everyday I got different answers from him. First the part is gonna be there in a week. Called week later -now its on backorder. Waited and called week or so later to check on it now its end of the month and was told part was shipped. Every time I called I was told that he,will call me back in an hour,or next day. Never got a phone call back! That was Thursday. Saturday stopped in to check on it.. All i got was an attitude. There is no tracking number for the shippkent no idea where the part is and no answers. Was lied to again. He said he took a loss on it because he paid $50 extra for shipping out of his own pocket. Hahaha (good one)... So I asked for the receipt for that..that don't exist offcourse. Was told if I want a refund he can do that. So absolutely no help from him. Just lie after lie. I will never do any business with them. I went on line and ordered the part from manufacture directly and will be here in 5days. $100 cheaper and free shipping. read more

Advance Auto Parts in West Chicago is consistently and refreshingly helpful and (to a woman with no experience with cars whatsoever) always non-judgemental. I used to stop in during my brief lunch period, and, without a doubt, someone would always help me find what I needed right away and go the extra mile to make sure I understood what I was buying. All I can say is this is by far the worst auto parts store for customer service. I like Advance Auto and will continue shopping other locations, like Carol Stream, but never again at this location. They do not know their own return policies and even how to do them. They are rude and do not know how to treat their customers. Do yourself a favor and shop at a different location. read more

Will never return to this location again. I bought a part at the Glendale Heights store and when I got home I noticed it didn't include everything it should. Not a problem. I called up the Glendale Heights store and was told they don't have another one that I can go to another location that has one and exchange it. West Chicago was a location that had one, so I called them and had them put the part on hold. Once I got there the girl looked at me and the part in my hands and asked, "What is that?!" I explained what happened and how it was missing parts and I just got a dirty look from her and told me I can't exchange it at their location that I must return it at the original store. I laughed because I thought she was just joking around, but I soon realized she wasn't and I told her that I was told I could. She kept insisting on that I couldn't and told me that they close at 8pm that I better hurry(Later I found out they actually close at 9). I got really pissed off at walked out. I called up the Glendale Heights store and they told me they probably didn't take it because it would hurt their sales even though it isn't right of them because it is a $50 part and shouldn't matter how much it is, they should provide A+ customer service. Well I got horrible customer service and the district manager will be getting a call. I went to the Carol Stream location and they did they exchange no problem. Stay far away from this West Chicago location. read more
