In the end, we were able to determine that Dell had designed an beautiful computer (the XPS 15 Touch - 9350) that was a serious power suck. He had a $300 external battery but it would be sucked of power within an hour ... and I would need 6 of them to cover the 6 hours of extra battery time I needed. Normally, a high capacity computer battery will cover you for 3 hours and cost you ~$150-$175 each. Sadly, the only solution was to return the computer to Dell. But Steve spent an hour being very helpful and informative. He knew I was looking for a reasonable solution so I could keep this computer.
