Update from ordering a new Milgard wind sense I've already purchased 14 other windows from them. I wanted all of my windows to match. So I told him that I had called a window shop on facebook marketplace located close by and they said my window was a special order and it wasn't Milgard he then said it would be ready in 2 days for $280 I then walked in to the Milgard shop I gave him the measurements and he pointed out a Milgard window in the show room that it would look like. I gave him the total amount he quoted me which was $60 dollars more than the other none Milgard brand. He said he could have done within one week because he does a lot of business with special orders and bulk amounts of windows. Two weeks later nothing no call nothing. I called him and he seriously for got to order my window. He called me back the next day and said the window will be ready in 2 days. I picked up the window without looking for the Milgard logo as it was wrapped up and I had my handy man waiting at my house ready to install it.. After my guy installed it, I then proceeded to notice it wasn't a Milgard window. I called him back and he said I never ordered a Milgard window..and to show him the receipt when he never gave me one. Why would I go through all that trouble to go to a Milgard window shop and pay more. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN.. I see why him and his brother had a falling out and went their separate ways.. He lies, greed and and a good faith hand shake on a deal is worthless... As you can see this window doesn't have the Milgard logos or the made on date warranty numbers on it... Again check all your windows as he might sneak in a cheaper window. read more

I have only great things to say about Joe and his team! I started the search for new windows through Yelp. I was put in touch with 3 different providers that I set appointments with to get a quote. The first one was a gimmicky, overly pushy, time consuming presentation. The quote was enormously high and I felt like I had sat through an entire timeshare presentation. The second quote was good and the provider very helpful but he cancelled and rescheduled a couple times on me so I was concerned of what service I would be getting. Joe was my third quote. He was transparent, friendly and provided great information. He was reasonably priced and made doing business so easy! He set fair expectations and kept to his timeline as promised. I recently called the company to get a quote to replace all the windows in my house. I spoke to the receptionist who was very friendly and was able to schedule an appointment within two to three days. I met with Joe and he was very professional, on time, and quickly assessed my house. He provided me with a full detailed quote in a quick time frame and even gave me different price options for various types of windows rather than just trying to sell me the most expensive one. You can tell within the first five minutes of speaking to him that he really knows what he is doing. Our experience with Advanced Door and Windows started well. Sam came to sell us windows promptly. He was nice and made many promises of their quality and reputation. We were in the middle of a kitchen remodel and needed to first replace one window with a garden window and the rest of our windows. My husband wanted to start with the garden window as we needed it quickly. We were told 2-3 weeks at latest. We signed a contract and waived our right to 3 day cancel to speed the process. After we paid, we learn it was going to be a month now. OK. Well 5 weeks later rolls around and we ask about status. They say it's supposed to ship tomorrow and then they'll install next day. Well night before install we find out that it never came in. They say they don't know what's going on with manufacturer. Well another three weeks later and we've been calling and texting but this company has now become unreachable. Over 8 weeks later, they have completely ghosted us. The customer service is great when they are SELLING to you but I am very disappointed that it stopped when an order is place. Construction and home remodels are a crazy time and we understand in slight delays but we've NEVER had a company with this bad customer service and after paying leaving us hanging to chase them down to no avail. My husband don't expect much but basic decency in customer service and delivering on what you pay for. read more

I have an old 1930's home in Long Beach, and I was afraid advanced was going to send me another salesman with the same pitch that windows were going to be more expensive then usual because of the old age, old frame etc. ( I had called out 3 different contractors with that pitch) But I found Joe to be very fair with his explanations and pricing of the windows. I've had a great experience with Joe from the start. He was very accommodating to our schedule for both the initial window measurement appointment, and the actual installation appointment. I also found him very responsive, who would atleast return my call or email by the end of the day. Many businesses lack this customer service now a days. I decided to only change out half of my home with new windows, basically I didnt want to risk changing out all my windows in case the work was sub par. I was in the market to replace the windows in my home with new ones that were more energy efficient and stylish. This is when I found Joe's company on Yelp and saw that they had great reviews so I decided to get a quote from him. Out of the 3 quotes that I received, Joe's quote was slightly lower than the other 2, so the fact that he had the better price and the windows came with a Lifetime Warranty and Accidental Breakage Warranty, I decided to hire Joe's company. The windows took about 2 weeks to be manufactured since they are all custom sizes but only took 1 day to replace all 11 windows. Even though one of the windows was slightly deformed, they installed it temporarily while the manufacturer made a new one to replace it. It was not a big issue as Joe worked with my schedule to replace the window when I was available. It is a family owned company that has been in business for 40 years! Joe, the owner was very nice and knowledgeable about the different types of windows. He must have spent at least one hour with me. His quote was reasonable so I will be going with him for the windows.
