I live a long way from my hometown and my trusted hometown mechanic. Since moving to Los Angeles, I've found many mechanics to be untrustworthy. Now, I only bring my vehicle to Advanced Auto Care. I was initially referred to Advanced Auto Care by a close friend. My brakes were making loud screeching noises every time I came to a stop. Didn't feel safe. I scheduled my appointment with Nick. Discussed the condition of my rotors along with my brakes and we decided together to replace everything. In a few hours my '06 Nissan Pathfinder was good to go at half the price of a Modesti's quote I'd received (that didn't include new rotors). Yesterday, Nick installed new tires for me! The price was great. No outlandish labor costs. Fat healthy tires now that really make my SUV drive like a monster! They even made sure my spare was in good condition and the new tires were aligned properly. The upgrade took less than half of a day. This place is a rare gem: honest and trustworthy mechanics. My 2015 Silverado broke down on a road trip and AAA towed it to the Glendale Chevy dealer. The dealer quoted me $874 to repair a host of non-existent problems. I called Nick. Nick picked up the truck from the dealer and diagnosed a very small problem that he fixed for no charge. I noticed I could feel the friction of the road which was weird and then came this rattling sound from the front passenger wheel. I went to a place by my job first and they told me the wheel bearing needed to be changed but they had to do both front tires as a pair. To the tune of $850. Since that was quite a financial commitment, I decided to get a second opinion and was referred to Nick and his team at Advanced Auto Care. THEY. WERE. INCREDIBLE. I got there and they helped me immediately. Turns out you don't have to buy them as a pair. You can just replace the one that needs to be replaced. Who would've thought! They didn't try to upsell me. Actually, I heard Nick on the phone arguing with the parts distributor telling him he wasn't going to buy the pair cuz I didn't need it.They also saw that the previous place put something back wrong which is why the ABS light came on. They fixed that at no charge and I was out of there in an hour. I will never go anywhere else and will send all my friends and anyone who will listen to them. Thanks Nick!! read more

These guys are AMAZING!! Super honorable, friendly, quick and genuine. I drove my car down from Santa Cruz the day before Thanksgiving only to experience overheating from my coolant leaking and my check engine light going on and off along the way. I stopped at a car repair shop somewhere in mid-city just to have the engine light checked (to be sure I could make it to my family's house alright) as my coolant was full and nothing else seemed wrong. Turned out to be true, but I was quoted $400-600 for replacement of parts of something I wasn't sure was even necessary. Needing a second opinion, I called Advanced Auto Repair (as it was the closest to my family's home per yelp assistance) and spoke to Nick who was more than helpful. He quoted me a much lesser price for the same parts/labor but asked me to come in after Thanksgiving so he could give it a check before doing anything. I called again Friday morning just to be sure it was a good time to come and Nick was extremely friendly, assuring me he could make time. Nick checked out my car with his colleague (whose name I unfortunately did not receive) and the two spent about 30-45 minutes figuring out a solution for my car without needing to replace any parts at all!! The two refilled the fluids on my car and tightened a few hoses that were leaking water, giving me advice on what else to do if anything happened in the next couple of days. They also offered for me to check back with them Monday before I drove back to Santa Cruz, which I easily took them up on. When Monday rolled around, my car was still doing great! Nick was not available, but his colleague that had helped prior examined my car for further leaks or issues. He added oil, coolant and even windshield washer fluid to my car, assuring me I was golden to drive 350+ miles back home. I honestly can't thank these guys enough! Super humble, honest and honorable men working to please you (granted you are considerate and honorable as well). They turned a $500+ problem into one that wasn't worth much at all, plus I got a few good smiles out of it and a place I know I'll return to in the future when I'm back to see family. Best Auto Shop in town!!! The most honest auto repair I have been too. They pay attention to every little detail to making your car run smoothly...I needed an oil change and when they finished they told me I needed my tires rotated. At first I though they were lying trying to rip me off and get more money out of me (like other shops I've been too)...But after showing the uneven thread wear on my tires, Nick offered to rotate my tires for free. He also advised me that my brakes were in good condition and I had about 50% brake life left. Very honest, knowledgeable, and professional shop. A+++++. For the last year , I've had electrical issues with my BMW 325. Ive taken the car to 4 different shops and every time the problem returns within a day or two and the headlights and windshield wipers stop working. Most places were quoting me a much higher price for the installation without offering any warranty on labor or guarantee that they can do the job well. Advanced auto care took my car in that evening and had it ready for me the next morning! Not only were they fast, they did a great job and made sure that everything was working perfectly. So for less money, I got much better service because advanced auto care really takes care of their customers. I know that I can always go back to them with any other needs and that I can trust them to do a legit job, where other shops tend to cut corners. The staff was polite and approachable, and I really liked how they use factory OEM parts and fluids when other shops tend to use cheaper aftermarket materials.
