We brought our 2012 Prius here because it was having issues with the ABS system. Jeff seemed to know exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. They were able to source and purchase a "new" used ABS system and replace ours with it. The price were reasonable and service only took a few days. If we have car trouble again, we'd definitely bring our cars here again! read more

After many failed/bad alignments from different shops in the area telling me this or that might be broken, I was referred to Sherman which got my car feeling straight like factory. Don't waste your time with other shops that'll leave you with a crooked steering wheel. read more

I came here for an alignment since my regular mechanic doesn't do it. They are a small operation but super kind and friendly. It was 30 minutes before closing and I thought I would have to leave it overnight but the guy said he would do it for me right away. He also gave me a ten dollar discount for paying cash and even changed the battery for my key for free. read more

Sherman was very helpful from the original phone call to completing the service for my vehicle . Quick and very friendly service and was able to squeeze me in even when they had a fully booked day. I will not bring my car anywhere else! I moved out of the area a while ago and recently had my catalytic converter stolen. I spent the last 2 days trying get it replaced locally per insurance company instructions but none of the businesses were able to help. The approved service centers were super sketchy, super rude, gave me the run around telling me my car would take over a year to get back and they would charge storage fees!!!!?!!? I called my insurance and told them my area sucks and I want my car to be taken back to SF where I know I will get the best service and no BS! Called Jeff told him my situation and he said "send me the car, I will take care of it". I literally felt all of my stress melt away... thanks Jeff for always being so helpful and great at your job! Seriously take your car to him, you will not regret it! read more

Jeff and his team are fantastic! I needed tired and a good friend recommended him. He told me where to go online, what to get for my car and all I did was order and have them shipped to his shop for instillation. He called when they arrived and I made an appointment to come I. And he installed them in less time than it took to go get a cup of joe. Yes, the shop is and no waiting room. But I'm not paying for dealership fluff, I just want good service at an affordable price and they deliver. Support small business! I did and saved over dealership hassles where they pressure me with a sense of urgency which was unneeded! read more

Very small shop, only one lift. Guys in there seem to know what they were talking about, but I didn't trust them. Unfortunately didn't have a whole lot of options. I brought a car here to have it looked over before I bought it because my regular mechanic was more than 20 miles away from the dealership. The guys seemed nice but they knew I didn't know much about cars. Said I should come back to get a few things fixed that I didn't actually need to get fixed. Two days after going here, my car started leaking fuel profusely. Turns out my fuel line was touching the engine. My mechanic (Big O, not some little mom & pop shop) and I agreed that the line couldn't have accidentally gotten there. When we pulled it out of its position, it jumped back into place where it should've been. Told me straight up it was for sure intentionally moved. read more

Been taking my vehicles to Jeff for many years now. Great service, fair pricing and never does work that is not needed. Just had work done on one of the vehicles and the estimate he gave me I approved, and when I picked it up, a major part of it didn't have to be done after all and he let me know and saved me $400. Jeff is the operator-owner. He changed over the past few years. I used to be his customer but not anymore. Customer service is not his priority anymore. He disappointed me on a recent episode and has turned arrogant. Now, I go to the dealer. At least they don't jack me around. read more

I asked him nicely... Can I use the battery tester since I'm right here and I want to return the core of the test passes. He lied and said, a customer was ahead of me and was waiting in the store to do the Free Battery, Alternator, Starter test. So I went in the store and didn't find anybody needing the tester. Instead I found the one lady waiting for somebody to help her change her headlight bulb. I said, you just twist the back. But this same technician took it upon himself to leave me in the store while he helped this lady change her lightbulb. After four(4) other customers received help and left the store. I looked at the Manager and told him I'll be back, seems your technician needs more time to change one lightbulb. The manager walked outside and there was the technician still changing the one lightbulb. So I went to the next O'Rileys. Seems the first store called the next store, because I got the same treatment with the next guy. He told me after he didn't look up for 10 minutes and finished his paperwork and then took several phone calls while I waited. Then he said... they can do a bench test of my alternator. Bring it in and I'll test it in the back. I said.... You want me to pull my alternator, starter and battery so you can test it on your bench? Or can you just bring your alternator test machine and connect the positive and negative leads to my battery and run a test.... I wanted to make sure the alternator core I JUST Installed and make sure you didn't sell me a defective alternator. Finally I got pushed to the manager for help. The manager took him a long time to come out and he was helping another customer while I waited. but once he connected the two leads to my battery. He said.... It passed. So 90 minutes later after two different stores, two different reps, and two different managers. I was able to return my old alternator core and get my $40 back which should have taken 5 minutes. Bunch of idiots working there, best to just buy online or go to another parts store.

They say my rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced + my rear shocks are leaking and are dead. They want $780 for the rear brakes and rotors then another $1250 for rear shocks and alignment. $2,030 worth of repairs for a 6 year old car with about 48000 miles on it. Obviously don't pay this if your car can still run fine and I immediately start searching for auto shops for help. I find out about Atech Auto by sending in a Yelp request and Alex gets back to me same day. He quotes me HALF the price Toyota wanted and can get me in the shop next weekend when I was free. Pretty good deal when compared to some other quotes I got. Bring my car in on Saturday around 9am and it probably doesn't get done until around 3pm. There isn't really a waiting area except for some lawn chairs. It's best to take an uber or ride Muni somewhere else to kill some time until your car is ready. Probably my only feedback is I wish they would've called me when my car was ready rather than me guessing and calling them, but hey they looked busy. Got the car back, paid the agreed price, and was on my way. I don't notice a huge change with how the car feels but I at least appreciate not being up charged twice the amount for similar services. Would recommend reaching out to them if you ever need to work on your car!

AAA insurance came and did a diagnostic and said it was the battery needed a new one so I got one and my car sounds better and issues was solved. First off I'm a WOMAN my name is on my yelp, I don't have to hide or lie. This is MY yelp so I get to put my opinion and experience on here. Did I feel like I got overcharged, yes from $500 as quoted the first time to $700 before picking it up. There's many mechanics that ordered things on Amazon for their customers. Other businesses owners would comment after negative reviews with " we apologize for that experience" not argue back. It's very weird how you mentioned how much you help and do for others. My experience is my experience and my opinion is my opinion.

The CARFAX is obviously useless and Certified Pre Owned doesn't mean much either if these types of things slip by your process. Everyone out there that purchased a CPO vehicle from you should be re-running a CARFAX report to check on damages that may not have been reported and notifying Toyota Corporate. Vehicles have a material decrease in value due to past accidents and you effectively knowingly passed that on to me due to your negligence. I'm happy to update this review if you take steps to correct this problem. Expect reviews elsewhere as well until you do.
