This review is about a year after my 1st appointment with Christian. Late review because of two reasons, I didn't have the time to sit down and write a "worthy" review and second because I wanted to give my opinion a year later. First off, I never had full natural eyebrows and I never learned draw them in. I didn't have the patience and felt awkward the handful of times I had them drawn in by my makeup loving cousin but I always dream of having full eyebrows; just didn't have the time to learn to draw them in as I hear it can take forever. Well I starting googling "ombré eyebrows" "microblading" looking at diff artists in Southern California. I came across Christian and became obsessed on how great all his brow dolls looked so I stalked him on IG for about a year before I decided to make that deposit and book an appointment. I did have to reschedule my first appt due to a work scheduling conflict and Christian and Hazel were so understanding and nice. I was super nervous going into my appt and scared of what I would look it, if it would hurt, what if I hated them. Right when I watched in Christian greeted me at the door, we went over paperwork, procedure, and had some "get to know each other" conversation. That made me feel much more comfortable with putting my face in his hands. I went in not really knowing what I wanted as I've only had eyebrows drawn on a few times but Christian drew a shape on me and I fell in absolute love! The process took about 3 hours or so. I appreciated that he took the time to make sure the color and shape was right. I felt that he truly wanted to make it perfect. The spin was minimal, at one point I think I snoozed off! Afterwards, he gave me aftercare instructions and a take home kit. I texted me the process of how the color fades and peels before getting color back. Let me tell you.. trusting the process was sooo hard. It got really dark which scared me, then peeled off in random sections, color faded soo much, then it came out perfect. I kept hearing Christians voice in my head "trust the process girl". Here we are a year later and I am still absolutely in love with my eyebrows. I still get compliments on them frequently. YES. BOOK WITH CHRISTIAN. How I decided to go with Christian: I've been waiting to get my eyebrows done for a year! I been researching for different artists all around SF, LA, and SD for Microblading. However, the prices were all 600+. SO, I changed my mind about Microblading for many reasons (not just the price), and decided to do the Powdered Ombre Semi-Permanent Tattoo and the only person who does an amazing job with that is CHRISTIAN. He also doesn't charge you like crazy! The price is perfect! (I feel like the price is too low for the amazing job he does). Christian is also a make up artist, so he really knows what a natural effect should look like. Before the tattoo: When I came to his shop, he took like 20 minutes to draw my brows out and to make sure they looked perfect and the way I wanted it. He drew a thick brow on my left and a thin brow on my right and had me choose which one I really liked. After that, he steps back and observes my brows when I talk, smile, and turn my face. He really is a perfectionist. He also measures your eyebrows with this measuring device thing that sticks on your forehead. During the tattoo: The tattoo doesn't hurt! The needle just feels like plucking. He also puts a numbing on your brows so it doesn't hurt. In the middle of the tattoo, he has you sit on a different chair, with a circle light to make sure "his eyes aren't playing jokes on him" LOL. He even reminds me of Harry Potter using these magical hand gestures around my face in mid air while staring at my eyebrows to make sure my EYEBROWS ON FLEEK. He's always making sure they look perfect and even. He also always makes sure YOU are okay, as well. AFTER tattoo and the healing process: Christian tells you what to expect so you don't freak out. Because you will look like you have really dark eyebrows for the first day or so, and then your eyebrows start to peel. My eyebrows didn't fully heal until 9 days.
