I got a stereo head unit installed and they broke my center console and they told me it was already broken. They left wires, screws and other trash on the floor. When I plug in my phone to charge on the cigarette lighter the radio gets fuzzy. I took it in get it repaired but they couldn't figure it out. A couple days later I noticed my remote control for the stereo was missing. I called them to see if they had left it in they shop but they couldn't find it. I would leave 0 stars if I could. My husband was looking to get a new STEREO. Just a stereo. And this short guy with brunette hair that wore glasses just popped in and said my husband needed an Amplifier and Subwoofer. My husband took his word and went to the cash register to talk to this other gentleman (I think he was the owner or something) and he kept persuading my husband to buy the two items. My husband kept telling him, "I'm just looking today, but I am thinking of buying one soon." The gentleman kept offering "if you pay cash, I'll bring it down for you a few bucks." My husband continued to say no, but the guy just kept insisting with payment plans and such. $3000 for an Amp and Subwoofer, the price is not the complaint here. The complaint was the installation. Mind you, the short gentleman with glasses was the installer. He took my husband's car back rapidly and installed the amplifier and subwoofer. After about an hour and a half, close to 2 hours, the tall gentleman called my husband in to say something. He said to my husband, "we can't finish installing the two things because your stereo is missing the original RCA adapter for the car my husband has... they installed something COMPLETELY when the most important thing was missing. The gentleman said, "you can leave your car here overnight and we can finish it up for you." Why leave the car when they can do it right then and there? It was so sketchy. And they made my husband pay per week when the sound was TERRIBLE! These guys are so not worth going to get your car stereos or accessories. Go somewhere else, where they are honest. First impression: Overall helpful and they were able to answer all questions I had. Friendly customer service and affordable prices that match the internet. My experience: Friendly and nice when I walked in, I was able to get what I needed. They even gave me a rental vehicle when my car wasn't going to be finished on time. Now for the Negative: I called the next day asking if my car was done, they yes come on down. I parked the rental in back and saw my car in the garage behind another car being worked on. I walked up gave the keys and said I was here for my car. He said alright I'll check on it, told me they have to move another car out of the way to get to mine. I said no problem, waited about 15 minutes and asked what's going on with my car. The guy said there moving all the stuff from a car being working on to move my car out, shouldn't take long. I continued to wait another 15 minutes till he came out and said my car is being moved now to the front. Waiting out front and didn't see anything, than saw a guy come around the side with my keys and walked inside. I went back inside and saw my keys at the front and had to wait because the only guy at the front was talking to another customer. Overall: It was a fairly good experience in the beginning, but something needs to be done about the garage. Waiting about 35 minutes for a car that's done being blocked by another car being worked on is unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Loved the service they did on my car. Fast and friendly people there. I originally had a sound system installed on my 96 accord. Loved the thing to death, literally until my car up and got totaled. They were willing and able to uninstall the speakers for free from my wrecked car. I then had them installed for a great price on my 07 Civic. The rear speakers didn't fit so they gave me a great trade in deal for new rear speakers. Very clean job done. Eventually I will go back for a double din head unit cuz the single doesn't quite look that good in my car. But the system sure sounds awesome. Always happy to do business with these guys. read more

In December my husband spent quite a bit of money here to upgrade his sound system. Got a "great deal" of a subwoofer, speakers, and amp. When the salesman was selling it to him, the customer service was great. He was promised that the amp would be connected to all the components, that it would look great, the sound would be top notch, etc. So, once the money was paid, the customer service disappeared. The box the speaker was in was large and not even bracketed in--so it slides around. The sound through the Bluetooth connection was weak. He wasn't thrilled but it was better sound when he had the radio on. Five months later, his car has a dead battery after sitting while we were out of town. Weird as it is a newer car. So we call AAA and don't think much of it. Two weeks later, when the car wasn't started for two days, battery dead again. Two weeks later, same problem. Something's draining the battery. It is the amp--incorrectly wired. So we are out $150 for a new battery and the cost to get it fixed. And it turns out the amp that was promised to be connected to everything was not what we was received. We did not return to this business to have them fix it--so in all fairness, they didn't have a chance to make it right. But sometimes it is better to cut your losses. read more

I have been doing business with Advanced car audio for sometime now they have been great any time I had an issue with something they would repair it in a very short time. I t turns out to be I was having issues with KENWOODS top of the line equipment the KENWOOD 991 and the 992 Exelon Series Equipment. I have been a fan of KENWOOD equipment since I started driving almost 40 years now I have had so much trouble with this equipment that I have given up on Kenwood completely. If you are thinking about buying Kenwood equipment I would definitely think twice before you do. In my opinion KENWOOD used to be the best you could buy but now it must be money over quality. Wow-was told of the Bait n Switch=thought, naw, not this place. Dennis seemed to be an alright kind of a guy! After all I had a $300.00 budget being on SSI (as I told he and Adam at the store) and they totally hooked it up (so I thought) with items I was not asking for. Saw an ad for $249.00 for a Car stereo, 4 door speakers (front and back) and you would get a FREE car alarm. (Too good to be true right?-it was!) Go inside on Sat 6/15/19 spoke with Dennis, who I spoke with on the phone earlier in the week, and said I'd be interested in the same as cash deal, he asks how's your credit? I reply=horrible, well let's see if we can get you a better stereo and a way better alarm, I said sure. Adam comes over to start to input all of my information into their computer. Dennis says he's faster at this than I am, me:cool Applies with Progressive (their finance company) and I qualify for $1600.00 Adam says now we can get you a better stereo and better sounding speakers w/ a back up camera (Dennis says we'll throw it in-but you'll have to pay the labor on it) me: ok After they give me $50.00 cash and Adam takes me to my bank to deposit for Progressive (who withdrew $52.80 not $50.00 that night from my bank) I then return to the store to have things started on my installation, wait for hours on end for my Envoy to get finished. 5:35 give or take a min for Dennis to finish this older lady, more on her in a few lines down. Adam did offer to take us to our home, the store or anywhere we wanted to go during the wait. - their courteousness is outstanding, offering us cold bottles of water (a few times during the duration). Then Dennis calls me back over to the counter to go over the scribble marks -hardly legible to ones eye,- and goes over the cost for each item, Stereo, Back up Camera, Alarm with a kill switch, amp, speaker box, Labor, Installation, kits, etc...telling me it's over $2096.00 with tax and I'm getting roughly a 20% discount on top of it. (I should feel pretty good right, wrong) for only $1600.00 that you qualify for, and you pay nothing today. And as long as you pay the balance with in 90 days, you will get no accrued interest and the best thing is let's say you're unable to pay it off with in the 90 days! Your payments will never go up from $336.36 mo for an entire year! (As I look now, I'll be paying more than double the entire finance cost) This took nearly 6 hrs to have done. Finally my son and I, at around 330-4pm went across the street to the Mexican restaurant because Dennis said it was still another hour and half to two hours for his guys to be done but we're open til 7, seat awhile and take your time he says! As I returned from our break, some older lady that sounded and looked like she may have knew Dennis had her SUV started after me (around 2hrs) and completely finished before me. As we went to the vehicle to have it checked and heard and tested, it sounded AMAZING! But again, I asked for a simple ad advertising a stereo and alarm. Not a back up camera, not an amp, not a 12"box speaker totaling at $1650.00. Now I'm 49 yrs old and should know when to speak up but Dennis is a very very good salesman - was warned about the ol bait and switch and I feel like he bamboozled me. In fact I went back to him on Fathers Day the very next day asking for help because my wife was FURIOUS! Absolutely pissed. I apologized to Dennis for this and asked if he could remove the unwanted items (amp, speaker box, back up camera, he said (grabbing calculator and pushing some numbers) It'll be about $240.00 for labor for my guys - I said CASH? He replied YES! Well I don't have it - he said you can call Progressive tomorrow and see how to return the items because they actually own all of the items until you pay it off! I asked, don't you guys ask where to put or ask the owner of their vehicles where to the items or have a choice of location of items? Ex: the AMP! Your installer put it on the wrong side of my back seat. I lay down the left side of the back seat to have items laying down for transporting, moving, etc... Also they left a bunch of clippings or wire pieces all around my vehicle, he replied oh that's because we're trying to hurry and return the vehicle to you in a timely manner. But I'll have my guy move the amp to the other side and have the pieces picked up. Ok, cool. Called Progressive today and they're very apologetic that I had to go through such an ordeal. And they have put in a complaint for this location in Montclair, CA. My friend says I should contact legal counsel because I was swindled big time. I'm sorry but I'll never do business with this place ever and in fact am going to report this to the BBB as well. Telling ALL OF MY FRIENDS AS WELL TO STAY AWAY! read more

Honesty and Trust, over free stuff. Suv got broke into Tuesday, Called this place on Wednesday a lady tells me average price is like $180 for basic alarm. Took my suv in on Sunday Labor Day weekend. They end up charging me $450, a short guy tells me 4 doors. Told him yes, like they were doing locking door. Was my fault for not having the time to wait for my normal guy. Call them at 2pm asked about my suv and guy tells me they system is done and they doing auto start for car. In the end he didn't listen to me on the phone and they had 2 silver Nissans that was the other, not mine. It took 9hours to do a basic alarm. After getting my suv looked up the alarm after knowing they screwed me. Could have got it on amazon for $70. Even if the alarm was $100, $350 in labor that's insane. Was a clean job I'll say that still doesn't explain that much in labor. Get home write a yelp review and then within 10 mins I get 2 calls and a voice mail from the manger Dennis wanting to talk about it. We speak he offers me some free stuff I accepted told him I'll bring my lady car. Well I changed the review. Now I didn't not get the free stuff and I'm changing my review cause I'd rather have other people not get ripped off, and for me to get free stuff. It's more important to me that people Trust is more important. Hope this review helps anyone Added9-28-2020- they didn't even put sensors in all my door for alarm like they said they did.
