I went to see Dr Khagani a few years ago. I never have had dental issues before. She insisted I needed to replace a filling in a cavity from when I was 18 as they expire after 8 years (never had I heard that before). I later out found that is not true. I said sure anyway not knowing better. In the process of taking out the cavity, she cracked my tooth and I have had to get a root canal since then and still have pain from it four years later. I moved out of the city but as I still have pain now in the tooth, it reminded me of the bad experience I had from a long time ago. read more

To be fair, I didn't get to be treated by Dr. Khaghani, so I can't attest to her skills or chairside manner. I don't know where she was, but I had some "temp" dentist treating me. But, to start at the beginning, the front-of-office staff is friendly and professional. The dental hygenist was friendly, but she didn't inspire a lot of confidence in the way she conducted herself during the x-rays. I felt like a student from DePaul was running the show. Then, the "temp." He was doing his best with chairside manner, chatting me up and asking about my weekend. But he went a little long in explanations, and then he really got condescending when talking to me about my oral hygiene and explanations about why my gums are tender. Save it, buddy. Obviously, after 30 years, I already KNOW I have issues when it comes to these things. And here's a tip: when you cause a patient pain while cleaning, don't interrupt the process with needless fake concern and expect a verbal reply from the patient who, while also in pain, has 3 different tools hanging out of her mouth. Scratch another one off of my list....can someone PLEASE find me a good dental office that takes Delta??? read more

I was impressed with Dr Patel, as well as Hazel, the hygienist. Both we're extremely professional and friendly and enough reason to keep going back. Also the receptionist was helpful. However, I have a few minor comments, mostly about chairside manners: First, during my recent visit (second overall), while in the chair, none of the staff (there were 3 in total) introduced themselves by name. It would have made all the difference to say "I'm 'so and so' and I'll be doing this...." Second, I was kept waiting 20 minutes in the chair after x-rays were taken. Ok, I'm fine with waiting, but the assistant just vanished on me. A simple "I'll be back in a short while" or "give me x number of minutes" would have eased my anxiety. Third, Dr Nolten treated me a while back and he seemed more interested in (non-dental) chatting with the hygienist then he did with working on my teeth. Not impressive. Lastly, I received 4 reminders about my appt which seems excessive. 1 email, 1 phone (that I did confirm), then later... 2 texts.... I started to get the stalker vibe. read more

I haven't been to a dentist in about a year, but had to make an emergency appointment since I had a fractured tooth. I googled dentists in the Lincoln Park area and Dr. Khaghani had a website that convinced me she was very qualified. I had to get a root canal and a crown in the end. However, Dr. Khaghani did a great job of making the experience painless. This was my first root canal and crown and I recall the bad experience my mother had. I told her I was scared, but she calmed me and kept telling me that I was doing well throughout the procedures. I had no pain and no infection. She did a great job! My husband and I call her our dentist! I also love the emails they send to thank me after a procedure and the reminder email of an upcoming appointment. This shows professionalism and a genuine care for their patients. read more

I've been coming here for at least 5 years. I come twice annually and yesterday brought me back for my 6-mo check-up, although this time it was 8 months as a busy schedule forced me to cancel December and several follow-ups over the last 60 days. Good news! Dr. Patel, a relatively new DDS that practices there a couple days a week told me I looked great. No cavities, no underlying issues, or investigative work I need to come back for. She just told me that I need to be more consistent flossing, which was sort of cheating because I told her that up front. Also, I didn't have to bite down on the t-wing contraption that they jam in your mouth then down your throat from 8 different approaches to take x-rays. That my friends, is the most annoying part of a Dental visit, unless I just have a small mouth and you normal people out there have never noticed notice. Luckily, they only do that once a year, but the bad part is you never remember if you did it 6 months ago or not. I guess that means this visit is the fun one of the two, because I walk in expecting the worst but am pleasantly surprised upon learning I get to bypass it. They also have two specialists there on a rotating fixed schedule. In short, this particular location is a Dental multi-center which handles your basic care, complex cases, as well as today's latest cosmetic procedures & invisalign to make you look like a movie star & take your game to the next level, if you have the pockets to do so. I'm a boring patient, I don't get cavities, pain, my gums are solid and I have never had my teeth knocked out, but I did get them whitened here in 2006 and that was fun (sans the sensitivity that followed the next couple days). Love this place, and had I come here a kid I might be a Dentist today. If anyone is looking for a Dentist office, I can tell you that this is THE place to go. The office is immaculate, to a person the staff is competent and super friendly. They communicate electronically and still give you a brand new toothbrush when you leave, just like we got as tykes. I always wondered why I didn't get a Snickers. Wouldn't that be more fun and a nicer reward for our mini accomplishment??? Thanks guys for another fantastic visit. Truth be told, I had not visited a dentist for teeth cleaning in almost 1.5 years and had convinced myself that I had multiple cavities. I bought the Groupon for an initial exam, xrays, and teeth cleaning after reading the stellar Yelp reviews. Everything went smoothly- start to finish. Dr. Khaghani has a great chairside manner. She was very professional, knowledgable, and considerate and went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable and informed throughout my visit. Purchased Groupon for X-ray​, Exam, Cleaning. Called and got an ​appointment. Added dental filling. But.... after a ​couple of hours,​ someone is calling me back and telling me that​ I have to pay EXTRA on top of Groupon​ $120 for Xray and Exam for a filling. She tried to trick and assure me that I need extra X-ray​ and Exam for a ​dental filling first, and I can use Groupon X-ray and Exam sometime in the future again for Exam and X-ray, like in a ​couple of weeks. Dr. Khaghani: The Best Dentist in the WORLD! Ok, I just got home from a difficult extraction (my fault for fearing dentists for most of my life) and can say I did not feel any pain. It took longer than expected and was much more involved than we thought, but she was careful, patient and removed the tooth by sheer will! The whole time she let me know what was going on, what to expect and how it was progressing. It made for a fairly stress free event. I never thought I would get over my fear of dentists, but Dr. Khaghani makes me feel so comfortable that I really don't have much anxiety before appointments. I think a few more cleanings and I may have this thing licked! read more

What exactly can I say about this office besides that they're absolutely fantastic. Everyone on the staff is warm, friendly & welcoming. You immediately feel comfortable as soon as you come in. As for the dentists, I was seen by Dr. Khaghani for my initial evaluation & Dr. Patel for my cleaning. Dr. Khaghani was extremely patient with me, telling me what my treatment would be, step-by step, and asking along the way if I had any questions. Dr. Patel was very patient when doing my cleaning, asking if I needed any breaks or if I was doing okay every 5 minutes. Please keep in mind that I'm writing this review just 2 1/2 hours after I had a tooth extracted, which was, for the most part, painless. After spending quite a time searching for a good dentist that takes my principal insurance--I have to say I'm very pleased with my experience at the Advanced dental care. The staff members were outstanding and frankly, couldn't have been any more friendly. Throughout the entire appointment, I felt that I was an informed and active participant in the decision-making process and never felt as if anything was being "done to me" (something all too common with other practitioners). I've had multiple dentists and this is by far the best place I've been to. I have been a part of this place for the past 3 years and it is nothing short of amazing. The place is clean, staff is very friendly, and they are willing to explain everything to you. You're not simply a job to get done... you are a person and they realize that! Myrna (receptionist) is very personable and Dr. Patel is everything you'd want in a dentist. I have enough faith and trust in the staff that I introduce them to others in my family. Dr Khaghani and her staff are the best in chicago. I have NEVER had what i'd consider a good dental experience, so when my tooth got mad at me and required a root canal, I lived in a dark and dreary world for some time. Immediately the staff made me feel comfortable. They even paid my parking meter outside because I didn't have the change to do it. After sitting in "The Chair" for a while, Dr. Khaghani got me another magazine based on what she had seen me reading earlier in the day. She brought in a specialist, Dr. Wang, to perform my root canal. He got stuck in traffic on the way there, but called a few times to see if I needed anything. The procedure went flawlessly and quickly. Just as I like it. There wasn't ANY pain afterwards. If you want comfort, good service and a wonderful, friendly environment, go to Dr. Khaghani. Dr. Khaghani is the best! I went to her for the first time about 6 months ago (after taking about 4 years off from dentist visits in college and during my first job--no dental) and, unsurprisingly, needed a lot of work done. She was thorough and kind throughout the process of checking my teeth and describing to me what needed to be done, and after the appt we set up a schedule to fix everything. I had a deep cleaning procedure done on my gums and had 6 fillings replaced, all spread over about 5 appointments. Each time, she was friendly, pleasant, and best of all, fast. For the fillings--two each time--I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Also, her office is very comfortable--it's nice and open, so you don't feel like you're in a gloomy little office, and it's just a couple blocks from the red and brown line fullerton stops. Long story short, I highly recommend her! I sent a guy I work with to her last week (he had a huge cavity that I could see just from looking at his mouth) and he's been really happy with her so far too. read more

Dr. Khaghani is amazing! I went there today for a deep cleaning (I really, really needed it) and it went so well. I've always been afraid of dentists but that has totally changed thanks to her. She's takes the time to explain what needs to be done, then makes sure you're doing fine during the whole process. And she's really skilled - I barely felt a thing! Never thought I'd say this, but my trip to the dentist was a really good experience! Can't wait to go back... I love Advanced Dental Care! My husband and I went in February for cleanings, and were both floored by what a great experience we had. But more than that, I am impressed by how much Dr. Khaghani cares about her patients. My husband was hit by a car while on his bicycle. After he was released from the hospital with no broken bones, the only thing he was worried about were his loose and broken teeth. Dr. Khaghani answered the phone after 11:00 pm to reassure us and had someone at the office to take care of him at 8:00 am the next morning. He tied up one of the exam rooms all day, but Dr. Khaghani and her staff did an excellent job reconstructing his smile. The peace of mind that came with having his smile so well cared for went a long way toward helping my husband recover. Three weeks after moving to Chicago, I cracked a tooth. Thank goodness for Yelp - which pointed me to A GREAT Clinic right in my neighborhood. I called the clinic and even though they were booked solid and wouldn't have had appointments for a couple weeks, they made time for me to come in that day. They saved my tooth - literally. If I'd waited to get it taken care of, he said I would've needed a crown! The DR was great. I've had issues with my teeth in the past and have a lot of fear and some embarrassment about my teeth. He made me feel completely comfortable and took great care of me. I highly recommend them! read more

I like everything about this dental practice! I've been going to Dr. Nolten for the past few years and couldn't be happier with the care I've received. I've had my fair share of dental issues in the past (a bit of a sweet tooth, I suppose) so I've needed more than my fair share of work done. Working in healthcare myself, I appreciate Dr. Nolten's guidance in the care of my teeth. He's a nice guy that made me feel instantly comfortable with the relatively complex situation I was dealing with. Everything is not what they seem to be. After seeing these reviews I was confident I chose a good dentist for a checkup. I did not have a positive experience at this practice at all. Upon arriving they had a difficult time verifying my insurance and from the start I felt that the Dr. Khaghnani appeared disinterested in assisting me. I really did not feel comfortable, and I thought she came across as very condescending. After seeing a specialist the next day, I found out she misdiagnosed me on the number of cavities I had. She came across that my teeth were extremely bad which was a surprise to me. The specialist I saw today informed me on what was needed and my teeth are pretty strong. The doctor did not even want to assist me with cleansing my teeth at that time as well, something I knew they were capable of doing. Dont like to play the race card but I think maybe my race played a role because apparently they did not want my business and due to the location being at Lincoln park I doubt she has many black clients. At least disguise it a little more by showing a little courtesy and empathy to help, my goodness. The only reason why I did not give her a lower score is the staff, especially the front desk receptionist who appeared to be interested in helping and showed that she cared, but overall a bad experience and not recommended at all. read more

One more thing I had remembered was they were always telling me that I grind my teeth a I need to buy. $400 mouth guard and it wasn't covered by insurance. I saw a new dentist who has made no mention of this so I asked. He replied "nope you do not need one!" Also the dental work I had done at Advanced Dental Care in which I also paid quite a bit out of pocket for is falling apart! I am going to have to get it redone! I couldn't understand some of the recent "bad" reviews about this wonderful practice. I selected Advanced Dental Care years ago because of the rave reviews on Yelp and I was so glad I did. My teeth were in sad shape from years of neglect and as Dr. Khaghani and her staff gently restored my smile and dental health they never made me ashamed . I was never "pushed" to have unnecessary procedures, the hygienists explain each time how to floss by my bridges, I am checked for mouth cancer and all work is conducted in a safe, comfortable fashion. In addition , the friendly office staff has always worked with my insurance. I have recommended the practice to friends and family and one individual is also a "happy" client. read more

I would also like to add this: Dr. Patel listed that she was part of the Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association. I contacted both associations when I couldn't find her listed in their directories. When I spoke to individuals with these associations, they confirmed that Dr. Patel is NOT a part of either and that they would contact her dental office to have the false information removed from the website. I am proud to say that the associations followed through and had the false information removed. Being apart of the ADA at the very least is something very important to many people looking for a new dentist. Falsifying information when you are in the medical profession is shameful. UPDATE: Got a call from an investigator at IDFPR, they are pursuing complaint with diligence. Let me preface this story by saying I have been going to a dentist regularly my whole life, and never had any issues. An occasional cavity and a crown from a few years ago, but other than that, no problems. I brush and floss regularly. My current dentist is retiring so I was looking for a new one. So, I went here with a Groupon for a cleaning, X-Rays and exam a month ago. After the hygienist took my X-Rays and did some test where they probe your gums (and caused me to profusely bleed everywhere), the hygienist told me my teeth were so covered in tartar that the regular cleaning would be pointless. But - she could offer me a deep cleaning which would cost $579 (which was supposedly a discounted price). I said no, can't I just get a regular cleaning that I paid for, to which she actually replied that her "license was on the line and it could risk her job." UM WHAT???? After she berated me about my apparent horrible oral hygiene (brushing twice and day and flossing isn't good enough, I guess) she asked if I even wanted to continue the appointment. I said yes. Dr. Patel arrived, quickly examined my X-Rays and said I needed TEN cavities filled. Then she told me I urgently needed a crown replaced as well. When I expressed my shock and disbelief, they both got extremely defensive. The total quote for all the work I needed? Over $5,000. I went back to my regular dentist over this past weekend to look over everything they gave me. First of all, they did the same probe test and their results were wildly different (not as bad as they claimed) and I did not bleed anywhere near as much as when I went to Advanced Dental. My dentist said that Advanced Dental's claim that they could not do a regular cleaning was completely unfounded. I do not need a deep clean and the regular clean would be fine. How many cavities do I have?? Turns out I do actually have 2 small ones - but hey, it's definitely not 10. Also - that crown that's supposedly falling out of my head? My dentist said it will be fine for another 1-2 years. Bottom line, this place is a TOTAL SCAM. Do not go here!!!!! I can't imagine how many people they have ripped off. I am reporting this company to the BBB and also reporting the dentist to IDFPR. They should be shut down. read more

And Dr Khaghani always makes my mother feel like she's done something to cause this. This office has Yelp reviews posted all over the waiting area. I wouldn't be surprised if this office writes it own reviews because they almost are all so positive, but who knows. Anyways, my wife had an appointment to get her teeth cleaned and Dr. Khaghani only presented her with the more expensive option for a deep cleaning. She did not go ahead and give my wife the basic cleaning our insurance covers and which was the primary purpose of the appointment. She also failed to explain any other options for addressing my wife's issue. Big surprise... Dr. Khaghani stated her office could provide the service related to the expensive deep cleaning option during a future appointment. In the end, my wife wasted an insurance paid appointment for a cleaning and got zero cleaning as Dr. Khaghani set her up for a future appointment for the deep cleaning. When I called the next day and talked to Dr. Khaghani about the situation, she basically was of the opinion that because the expensive deep cleaning was the best option, she should not have presented my wife with any other options or have gone ahead and conducted the basic cleaning covered by our insurance. I told her a basic cleaning would have been better than no cleaning, which my wife had upon leaving their office. I also pointed out that if a person did not have the financial means to pay out of pocket and get the significantly more expensive deep cleaning, a basic cleaning would be better than nothing and a person of lesser means would likely never make it back for the more expensive follow-up appointment. Dr. Khaghani didn't agree and thought she should only perform the best option. She basically just didn't get it-maybe it's a cultural thing because she is from Iran. In the end, my wife got the deep cleaning from a periodontist in Linclon Park who was much more professional and also removed my wife's wisdom teeth as part of the cost ($1,000). The money was not an issue for us with Dr. Khaghani, it was what we perceived to be a "bait and switch" and overall lack of understanding of the concept of informed consent and the need to present the patient with the full spectrum of options. I wish had read the reviews before scheduling an appointment for a cleaning here... I recently moved to the area and prior to moving here had gone to the same dentist for 25 years and kept up on my regular cleanings every 6 months. The appointment started out okay until the dental hygienist decided that I needed a deep cleaning of my bottom teeth. She discussed with Dr. Nolten and they agreed I should schedule a second appointment for a deep cleaning. At this point, the hygienist refused to even do a regular cleaning of my bottom teeth saying it would be pointless. Never in all my years of regularly going to the dentist had I been refused a regular cleaning so this caught me completely off guard. To make matters worse, Dr. Nolten was unprofessional and abrasive, asking me if I hadn't kept up on regular cleanings. I have never been spoken to in this way by a medical professional. Advanced Dental Care is a waste of your time and a waste of your money - do not schedule an appointment here. I will definitely not be going back here for any dental care whatsoever. read more

I first saw this on GROUPON (my fav) and I called in to make an appointment. They are very friendly and even worked it out so my insurance would pay for it. It was very convenient and oh-so-nice filling out paperwork on their IPAD. OK NOW for the bad stuff.--- The dentist said that I need to get a deep cleaning and would not even do a regular cleaning, worked out this exuberant pay chart for the procedures. And of-course I the deep cleaning is 200 extra... So i came for a cleaning left with a parking ticked and no cleaning. They get you in with the groupon and then begin to charge. I read a review similar to mine and still decided to give it try. I should have stayed away. Now i must find a new dentist. read more

Previously visited them for a checkup on a Groupon as my old dental office was located downtown and inconvenient to get to. I thought the place was a bit too "trendy" and that Dr. Khaghani's bedside manner could use some improvement. But, I wasn't too unhappy not to try them again when it was time for a checkup and I was having sensitivity on some teeth. I saw Dr. Nolten, who seemed competent enough. I'm not going to comment too much on how they practice here. I will say that I think that the staff is probably qualified, but likely more concerned with revenue then customer health. When I received the EOB from my insurance company, I called up the office because I had some questions about the treatment I received. I was a bit taken aback that I had to pay substantially more than the 20% copay because they performed a procedure that was not covered by my IN-NETWORK insurance without even notifying me of this. In any event, I felt that this was as much on my insurance company as it was on ADC, so I didn't want to hold this too much against them as all medical practitioner offices are horrible at properly providing cost information to their patients. As proof that I wasn't going to hold this against them I asked them to file for a pre-treatment estimate with my insurance company. I wanted to know exactly what it was going to cost me to have them do the rest of my work so that there wouldn't be any surprises or any reason to get upset. They did do this for me (after having to double check with Dr. Nolten because apparently all his suggested treatments did not get into my file). At no point during this call did my current bill come up or was I notified that I owed them payment of any sort. Like most medical offices, I assumed it would likely be months before they processed my account and actually sent me a bill. 2-3 weeks later I get the estimate from my insurance company. Not long after that I get a voice mail from ADC stating that they received it as well and would like to go over the estimated payment and schedule an appointment. I never called them back because I was simply busy and not ready to schedule anything yet. Fast forward to today I get another voice mail from the office stating that they would "like to speak with me." Shortly after that I receive an e-mail that states: "We have not received a payment for the outstanding balance of $xxx which is now 30 days past due .Please mail your payment as soon as possible to avoid further action." I was pretty pissed off right off the bat with the language in this e-mail. I had NOT received a bill from them AT ALL. I had spoken with them AFTER the EOB had been processed and they had left two voice mails for me at no point mentioning anything regarding a balance on my account. And now, out of the blue, they want to claim that I'm 30 days past due and make implicit threats that they are going to forward me to a collection agency or some such nonsense?? I immediately followed up this e-mail explaining the above to them - that I hadn't received any bill and that I did not really appreciate the aggressive tone. I pay my bills WHEN I am actually sent a bill notifying me I owe something. Call me crazy, but I like to know what I'm paying for and have a record of it! What followed was the most laughable excuse at customer service I've seen in a while (well, maybe that's hyperbole, bad customer service experiences aren't hard to find these days). Instead of simply replying: "Oh, we sent you a bill on X/X and another on X/XX, you didn't receive these? Why don't we just e-mail you or fax you the bill instead?" What I got was a series of passive aggressive excuses and non-fact based statements that they have followed every "process" to notify me of the balance and that "further action" is justified because they haven't gotten a response from me. While I was admittedly put out that they would threaten collections after a first time notification of balance due, I figured they would send the bill over and I could chalk this up to the Chicago Post Office failing to deliver a piece of mail and a "canned response" on behalf of their bill collection. It is clear to me now that no bill was ever sent. The voice mails that I have recorded don't make mention of an account balance or even a discussion of the bill. Even giving them the benefit that a single bill was lost in the mail (or even disregarded by me) is not justification for their response. This could have been deescalated quickly and easily with the appropriate response from them. Instead what followed was a series of e-mails that continued to show their disregard for me. I had to ask 3 times in my e-mail responses that they actually send me a bill before they finally did. My check for services will be out to them shortly, but I certainly won't continue to associate with an office that treats their patients like this. read more

Do not go here. When I was new to the area, I chose Advanced Dental Care because it was convenient (walking distance to my apartment and offered Saturday appointments). I thought this place was okay at first. There was a hygienist I really liked (who no longer works there). I've never had any dental issues and I figured the teeth cleaning services were comparable to other dentists. Although I was put off by a comment made by Dr. Khagani that people in my profession make the worst dental patients, I liked the hygienist well enough that I came back more than once. But eventually, I began to dread dental visits there. Seemed they were always accusing me of not flossing enough and finding various problems. First I needed a deep cleaning because I had gingivitis and I was at risk to have bone loss and have my teeth fall out. This frightened me into dropping $70 on the deep cleaning. I figured the deep cleaning wouldn't hurt and I was too lazy to find a new dentist. After the good hygienist left, they hired a new hygienist that I was less than pleased with. The first time she cleaned my teeth, it was a total blood bath. I'm not perfect - I occasionally skip a flossing - but I take good care of my teeth. She definitely stabbed a fold of skin in between my top middle teeth that was still heavily bleeding long after I walked home. She also did not squirt enough water in my mouth after polishing my teeth. I thought it was a joke when she asked how it felt when I still had toothpaste completely coating the roof of my mouth. She also made me nervous my teeth were going to break since she was scraping them VERY hard. I figured maybe she was new to the dental profession and gave her the benefit of the doubt. But my last visit made it clear it was my last visit. I was really pleased with the cleaning at first, it seemed to go well (minus some roof of the mouth toothpaste that wasn't washed away again). It was over quickly, I wasn't bleeding everywhere. I was happy for a second, but my happiness quickly turned to anger and horror. The dentist (it was not Dr. Khagani. I believe it was Patel but I honestly don't remember. I just know she was not Dr. K.) comes in and casually announces that I have two cavities that showed on my X-rays before but they didn't do anything before because they were small. Now they were bigger and so it was best to fill them. She just wanted to open up my tooth to get a better look at it. I'm sorry, WHAT?! Over several visits, I was never told I had a cavity (or two cavities). I was never showed my X-rays. I brush with an electronic toothbrush, floss, and use mouth wash. I had no sensitivity in my teeth, so I was very shocked and confused. But the dentist didn't even seem sympathetic. Instead, she became argumentative and seemed like a pushy salesperson moreso than a dental professional. Instead of addressing my legitimate concerns, she seemed like she just wanted to get me to shut up and set my filling appointment and leave. I just had a really bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and just felt anger welling up inside of me. If I had cavities before, why didn't they tell me. Isn't that unethical?! I had so many thoughts running through my head. I did ask several questions but I did not feel they were answered. I also felt that the dentist was acting like was I was being unreasonable for being upset. Rather than cause a scene, I internalized my anger and booked an appointment for the filling; I just wanted to get out and get away from that place and never return. So I walked home and couldn't help it; I cried a little bit when I got home. I felt taken advantage of, lied to. I decided to get a second opinion. Going to another dentist made me realize what I was missing all along and how stupid I was for giving Advanced Dental Care my business. And funny thing, in my second opinion the dentist FOUND NO SIGNS OF TOOTH DECAY WHATSOEVER. Granted, the second dentist did explain that some dentists are more aggressive than others, etc. But she listened to me, she treated me with respect. In other words, she was a true professional. She even showed me on an x-ray the difference between a cavity and a watch area and showed me how tooth decay was visible on an x-ray. She even took a picture of the inside of my mouth & showed me. Imagine that - a thorough and trustworthy professional. Sort of what I look for in a dentist... Bottom line, I'm never returning to Advanced Dental Care and would not recommend this office to anyone. Even if I had needed fillings, the way they treated me made me not trust them. The whole encounter just seemed suuuuuuper shady. Like, does the dentist even have a valid license? I have been going to Dr. Khaghani for over 10 years and I've had alot of dental work done. Everything has been to my satisfaction and I totally trust her with my mouth (one of my larger investments at this point.) Although she and her staff are personable,professional and do a great job, I want to share that I also feel like they really care about me and treat me like family. Recently I called with a horrible tooth ache and they fit me in immediately, listened to me, showed compassion and charged me an EXTREMELY fair price since I am no longer covered by insurance. Dr. Khaghani then gave me a follow up plan and the staff gave me a follow up call to check in on me. Not all dentists are the same and I'm lucky to have found Dr. Khaghani! read more

I agree with everything Rachel W. has said. I have been going to Dr. Khaghani since about 1999. At the time, I had not been to the dentist in quite a while. I knew I probably had a few cavities...I picked a random dentist out of the phonebook and checked it out. The dentist wanted to fille my whole mouth (he said I had 9 cavities!!). I decided I needed a second opinion, so I went to Dr. K. on the recommendation of my sister. Dr. K. said I did have a few cavities, but certainly not 9! She's not all about filling every single tooth that looks like it might have a cavity some day. There is a reason I have been going to Dr. K for over 8 years - - she's an excellent dentist, her staff is great, and I feel at home when I visit. read more

This is the best dentist office ever! I had been going to the same dentist in my hometown for almost my entire life, so I was a bit lazy and apprehensive about finding a new one. I chose Dr. Khaghani since her office is close to my apartment, and it was a great decision! The office is so inviting and the receptionist was very friendly. I'm a horrible dental patient. I don't floss unless there's popcorn in my teeth. I was a smoker until about 4 months ago. I hoarf down sour patch kids by the pound and wash them down with coffee. I currently have no idea where my mouth guard is (for TMJ/grinding). I could go on. So every 6+ish months I must atone for my neglect of my gums. But I'm always impressed that, regardless of which dentist or hygienist I see at ADC, I'm never condescended to as if my poor habits are some sort of moral failing. I've had those kind of dentists and the guilt trip is just not effective with me. Instead I left ADC yesterday with a renewed commitment to floss more regularly, a mission to find and use my mouth guard and praise for quitting smoking. read more

Before finding Advanced Dental Care, I DREADED going to the dentist (as a lot of people seem to do!). I went in for a routine cleaning and X-Ray about three years ago and have been going ever since without and pre-appointment anxiety like I used to get. Every staff member I have encountered has met me with kindness, patience and friendliness. They are knowledgeable and most of all I trust them completely. I'm shocked I haven't reviewed this yet. Dr. Khaghani is absolutely spectacular. Patient, thorough, and most of all specific: she'll walk you through exactly what's going on with your teeth and what you need to do to get them back in shape. I'd avoided flossing for years because it always made my gums hurt: Dr. Khaghani showed me what I was doing wrong and my past three checkups have been flawless.
