    Masala Dosai

Quick and easy fast casual Indian veg food. Located next to the Days Inn, so there's plenty of parking. Inside is nice and clean, and the staff is attentive and helpful. Masala dosa is very filling, and it comes with all the accompaniments. Prices are little high for what you get and the quality.

We went for an Onam Sadya today. It took sometime to get the food but wow!! It was such an amazing Sadya! They served on banana leaf and there were many varieties. Even the Malyali friends with us loved the Sadya here. Everything was great especially loved the sambhar, beet root pachadi, erissery. The fried red chilly on the sides gave a nice spicy kick to anything.

Probably my 10th visit, the service and quality does not fail to meet expectations, great choice for good South Indian food.

Waiting area for takeout or sweets!

Wow! This was an impressive place. Not your mother's Indian restaurant and not a typical Dosa takeout place. It has the casual glamour of an upscale NJ diner, with some folks dressed very informally, and other families wearing their best saris for family celebrations. The restaurant is large, with many booths, and the kitchen sends out very impressive platters of dosas every few minutes. We did takeout and were very happy. They originally estimated 15 minutes, but it ended up being 30 - but we didn't care because there was good people watching and the food ended up being delicious. We got: masala dosas and a paneer dosa. Definitely get the filling on the side if you're doing takeout. We also got a south Indian thali, which gets packaged for takeout in a most impressive box! We enjoyed all of the little tastes too. I wasn't that wild about this sambar, but my mom couldn't have enough of it! We also got a south Indian curry which I liked less than any of the things in the thali. We also got two mango lassis, which were good but nothing remarkable. Definitely THE place to come for South Indian food in this area. Yummm!!! I'll look forward to trying it again on my next Jersey visit.

Finally visited after ages. Loved it. We had the thali, the thatte idli, regular idli, Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee. Definitely the best idli on this side of the world. The rassam, chutneys were great. My first time having a soy dry sabzi which wasn't bad either. I've come to love the kuzambu. The place looks fairly decent too and I loved the beautiful painting of a woman there. We were there at 9pm on Sunday and it was still a 10ish minute wait. Friendly staff.

My family and I dined at this restaurant a week back. It was a treat. We got to the restaurant shortly after it opened for dinner. I didn't expect us to be the only diners but that's fine. You have to scan the QR code on the table to view the menu. The restaurant is spacious and has plenty of seating. We ordered punugulu for our appetizer and mango lassis for all. My dad ordered poori masala, my sister and I shared the Rava Onion Masala Dosai, my mom ordered the Mysore Masala dosai, and for my little nephew we ordered a soft plain masala dosai. Each of our dosai entrees were served with chutneys and sambhar. The sambhar was not spicy and the chutneys were good. All of the dishes we ordered were yummy. I would definitely dine here again to try other dosais. The mango lassi was delicious. This is my new favorite spot for dosais!! To avoid long wait times, best to come early and enjoy your food. They do not take reservations.

This place can and should really be a 5/5 vs a 4/5 IMO. Here's why. Let's start with the good. Thatte Idly - Im not a big fan of idll but I loved this one. The iddli was soft and it almost melted in your mouth. The sambhar though stole the show. We think it was Karnataka sambhar vs the TN one. Chole bathure - tough to go wrong on this. The bathure was fluffy, crispy and delicious. The chole was great albeit a very small portion. Mysore dosa - we had him do it with ghee and make it crispy. Thought it was perfect. Thokku - it's my first time having this dish and I thought it was delicious as well. It was good standalone but id recommend mixing the gravy and having it. The gravy perfectly complimented the taste of the thokku. Now for the not so good. Medhu vada - my fav South Indian dish. Id give this one a 3. It wasn't as hot and crispy as it should be and the sambhar that came with it was meh. Service - we had 2 servers. One was great , but the other one not so much. The other guy was either new or struggled with the basics. After having the sambhar from the thatte idlli, we asked him to get the same one for the other dishes. He said no, that only comes with the thatte dish. We requested that we'll pay for it, but he still didn't seem keen. We asked for the potato vegetable(which we said we'll purchase), again denied so we were forced to order the Mysore masala dosa which coincidentally also came without the potato vegetable. Thankfully the other server fixed all these issues and we were happy with the overall experience

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at A2B with my husband, who suggested we try it out based on friend's recommendation. My favorite dish was the jackfruit curry that I ordered with dosa. He liked his palak paneer, saying it was fresh and flavorful. We ordered a mango panna cotta to share, which was delicious. We hope to be back again soon and to also try out the other A2B locations.

Stopped in the other day and it was not busy for thanksgiving day lunch. Got seated right away. Decided to get the chole bhatura this time. It was around $14 and came with a chickpeas side . The side was a little spicy for my taste. I do wish there an option to substitute it for sambar or it comes with a second gravy side. The mango lassi was thick and delicious.

Excellent South Indian food. Friendly service. Clean place. Fairly large menu. Best South Indian food in and around Parsippany.

We came here before and wanted to bring our daughters who love Indian cuisine…read more Just be aware that they shut down in the middle of the day, so check the hours. They do post and update the website which is super helpful. We ordered and shared the following: Samosas Bread basket with a bit of all the Naan Malal Kofta Tangdi Kebaba-grilled to perfection (takes about 1/2 an hour since it's freshly made) Butter chicken Chicken Tikki Masala The sauces were delightful over their rice and of course to dip the Naan! Each one was tastier than the other and we brought home leftovers for tomorrow. This is a super busy place, lots of to go orders and people eating in. If the weather permits, you can even sit outside. Inside is thoroughly air conditioned and well ventilated. I dare say my kids rated this some of the best Indian food they have ever had.

Came on a Sunday night for dinner. The menu is a QR code that directs you online and requires you…read moreto view it from your phone. Unfortunately, it's extremely clunky and not very user friendly (see photos). Because there are so many items on the menu and they are grouped separately, you have to constantly click, then go back, then click again, and repeat. One pros to this is some of the items have photos and descriptions, although some do not have photos or any description or the writing is cutoff. Finally we were able to get a physical menu which was the menu they use as flyers to handout. It was much easier to navigate but the in house prices were more expensive by $2-$4 in some cases. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he said the HBK spl Chicken Biriyani is by far the most popular. One thing to note, there is no description of what exactly it was. In all, we ordered garlic naan, chef special cheese naan, butter chicken, HBK spl Chicken Biriyani, and Malabar kothu paratha. They brought everything to the table at once except the biriyani came much later. I didn't want anyone to wait so told them to start. They may have assumed we were all sharing so that may be why it came at different times. Overall, the food was ok. Nothing too special. The HBK special is boneless pan fried chicken pieces and also bone-in chicken pieces. There was quite a bit of biriyani and kothu, the butter chicken seemed like not too many pieces of meat. Service was just ok. No one came to check on us and the server forgot our requests a few times. We finally got up and approached the staff to get what we needed. They weren't too busy in house but there seemed to be a lot of pickup orders. I would come again at a different time and try some other dishes, I don't think we ordered the right things. Will also stop by and try the weekend buffet and update my review accordingly.

My vegetarian friend was in the area and says she loves visiting this place whenever she's here…read more I'm a carnivore, but friends are more important than food, so - my first veggie experience! With that in mind I want to be careful how I review the food. The place is nice and quiet, including the servers. The menu is rather expansive like a diner, and it can be a bit confusing because it sometimes says "veggie beef" (or chicken, pork) and sometimes just says "beef" and you have to interpret the missing word "veggie". Since I didn't want any of that, I was able to pick out what I wanted quickly, but my friend took awhile. I liked the spring rolls. Liked, not loved - I've had better; the interior was bland here. And the sauce wasn't announced, but a nice bonus for dipping. The vegetable fried rice, I don't know. The sauce was a bit gluey, instead of making the rice a bit crunchy like fried rice ought to be. The veggies were not done enough so they weren't crunchy but also weren't soft. The broccoli should have been chopped into smaller pieces, but also, it should have been mushrooms like the menu said. I was not pleased with the unannounced substitution - a five star restaurant would be open about that. (I was also expecting baby corn, but the menu did say "corn" when I checked back, so that's on me.) I'd love to round up to 4 instead of down to 3, but in the end, if my friend invites me back next time she's in the area, I'd pass and suggest a different spot. I know it's not easy to craft a vegetarian restaurant and I respect what they've been able to do here, but I think they can do better without introducing meat products. Especially on matching the menu with what you're given.
