False advertisement. Overcharge. Poor management. Over-tax you on purpose. Excessive wait times. Burnt my pizza. They have a huge sign in front of their store reading $12 large pizza's. I ordered a large pizza online and when I get to the store to pay, the guy working the register makes the bill out to be $16 and change. He claimed because I ordered on line the deal was not applicable. I went back and forth a bit stating the sign clearly states large pizza for $12 and does not say that it had to be ordered online. The employee realized I was not budging and proceeded to angrily and disrespectfully agreed to charge me $12. He then bills me to $14.60 for the "pizza plus tax". Tax on $12 is $1.03 - he charged me more than double the tax in attempts to get money from me. I went back to the register after paying and educated him on how sales tax works in NYS and demanded a refund for my overtaxation. With utter embarrassment he returned me my $1. This whole review isn't about $1 - it's about the morals and principles behind the management. They false advertise to get customers, overtax customers hoping no one will notice, their management is disrespectful, and to top everything off they had to remake my pizza because they burnt it. On behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aegea West Mediterranean Kitchen for their generous and delicious donation to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala. They provided a large tray of Greek salad that was an absolute standout. The salad was incredibly fresh and vibrant, with crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, crunchy peppers, and tangy Kalamata olives. The feta cheese was creamy and plentiful, and the homemade dressing was perfectly balanced with olive oil and oregano. It was a refreshing and healthy highlight that our guests truly appreciated. By far one of the greatest restaurants in the area. The food is so fresh and always cooked to perfection. Phenomenal, authentic Greek food from people who actually know what they're doing. I recommend the 9" pita pizzas, as well as their combination platters which always come with too much food. They also make a solid gyro. Very fresh and learn meat. The place is small, but comfortable and always has a sense of welcoming. Mike, the owner, makes you feel right at home when you order. You really get a bang for your buck at Aegea. Their salads are always huge and pack so much flavor, especially the seasonal salads. I order from Aegea from as much as I can. I've been away from Queens for a while, but always find myself craving Aegea. Highly recommended! read more

Discovered this place years ago, always my go to spot when I'm craving a burger, gyro, chicken parm, etc. Recently, I discovered they've even got better pizza than the local competitors! Purpose for writing this review is i work at NYP queens, and mike and his staff have been feeding our units since the pandemic started. We've been very touched by the way aegea is supporting the community during this time. As if that wasn't enough - I went on the website to place my own order, and I see that they have incredible pandemic related deals for a tremendous amount of food - and it's clear the heart of this business is in the right place. Aegea is awesome. Their food is delicious and always on point. We ordered the combination gyro souvlaki platter- it was cooked perfectly and the rice that comes with it is amazing. My daughter is three (very picky eater) and she loves their lamb chops! We also ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, which was yummy.
