Aaron showed up after having another First American HVAC contractor do some work that was faulty. I had 4 different contractors service my HVAC in the 14 years I have own the house. I have been under the house as well. He claimed ducts where blocking the access, he went right instead of Left is no ducts, Its abandoned from a old system. The job is a dirty one, fact remains he just did not want to do it. Zero integrity. I know factually both ways have access. I was referred to aerify by my home warranty (first American) due to my fridge is not getting cold and won't make any ice. After the referral I called them immediately to schedule as appointment with their technicians. All I can say is I would recommend this company to everyone. This was my second opinion through my appliance service. The first opinion was a nightmare with a different company. This company and their employees were so kind, knowledgable, helpful and willing to do every test necessary and fully explain any questions we had. They found that the plastic pan was cracked and that was what was leaking! This had nothing to do with clogged pipes like the other company claimed. So relieved we were able to get this second opinion free of charge and get our new part ordered and scheduled to be replaced! read more

Although I did not use this company, I was not impressed with the lady who answered the phone once I received the email from my Home warranty company. She stated she would be calling me back later in the day. Then I read the other Yelp reviews and decided to cancel the request and no sooner did I cancel and I got a call from her stating she received the cancellation from the home warranty company and wanted to know if I still needed to have a repair. I said no because I have an appointment with ASI this Friday and because of the reviews here, I do not trust this company to work on my A/C especially since it is brand new system. I received a response from Andrea and although I understand that some people on post on Yelp when angry, I post based on reviews and I felt more as at ease with using ASI to repair my A/C even though there are both good and bad reviews and even a great one today. Not recommended. The first time they came to fix my air conditioner was end of July. After their job done, it seems working. But I don't think it's cooling down enough. They came again two weeks ago, after check they told me my house is too big (2500 square feet) which may affect the temperature going down inside house. Is that the right answer. Standing by my review of this company - I have the invoice that proves they came out to my address and have sent it to the owner's wife - we'd reported our AC wasn't cooling, Aaron came out, poked his head up in our attic, went outside, filled it with refrigerant, and left. 9 months later, no refrigerant left in it at all. Just finished my second service call in a week with Aerify. On December 27, I took a day off work and missed a weekend getaway with friends to sit home and wait for their serviceperson, Aaron. He was an hour late, and then worked for 90 minutes before telling me he didn't have the right ladder and I'd have to call and schedule a followup call for another day the following week. I called Monday, December 30, and was given an appointment for Tuesday, December 31. Aaron showed up again, this time presumably with a ladder. He informed me the problem was that my HVAC unit had no refrigerant. When I told him that I had 5 pounds of coolant replaced in August, and asked him how so much refrigerant could leak out in just 4 months, he said he didn't know what the last guys did but that wasn't his problem. I told him I wasn't paying to have more refrigerant put in since I was under a home warranty and it should be covered. I asked if that was his only solution, and when he said yes, I informed him there was nothing he could do for me then. He had trouble unlocked the front door as he left, trying to force an August Smartlock, and when I said, "Let me get that for you so you don't break it," he replied with, "Yeah, wouldn't want to break anything. Dick." I'm not used to being called foul names by contractors especially when I've paid $75 and taken TWO days off work to be home for them to do literally nothing. Aerify was sent to our house through American Home Shield Home Warranty. The technician was on-time, wore a mask and was very thorough. We have a ductless split system and he took the time to properly diagnose and troubleshoot the error codes causing our A/C to shut off due to a "compressor overheating" and "low pressure" warnings. A tenant contacted me recently and said the the heater and air conditioner system was no longer functioning. She could hear the system turn on, but air would not blow out from either the air conditioner or the heater. Aerify sent out a technician the following morning and arrived punctually. As it turns out, a capacitor had blown out. This part was quickly replaced and the HVAC system was immediately up and running. Luckily I was able to be serviced by Aerify Tech Aaron within two hours of calling vice later in the week. He was professional and compassionate about his customer service and our needs. Aerify tech Ismael did a GREAT job for me on my A/C service call. Water was leaking into the ceiling from the roof unit. Ismael went into the attic (hot!) and worked in very tight quarters to remedy the problem and make some adjustments to the set up to make it work better. Would have liked to leave 0 stars. VERY shady! This company is incompetent and in my opinion in cahoots with American Home shield home warranty company. Tech came out to replace a leaking valve on my AC unit. Warranty covers the valve but not the refrigerant. I end up paying over $1000 to AerifySanDiego to recharge the unit and assume it's fixed. Days later it's still not working. AerifySanDiego returns, accuses me of messing with the valve because he's sure he left it tight and it's leaking again. I ask him why I'd mess with it? As if I'm eager to pay another $1000 for refrigerant? He "fixes it again" and adds more refrigerant. Hours after he leaves it's still not working properly. Another tech comes out days later. Adds more refrigerant and pokes around the attic. Claims that the coil is leaking and needs to be replaced ( that would have been nice to know from the beginning). Insurance covers the coil but not the "modifications" of course. I'm quoted $2800 to modify my system to work with the new coil. The estimate is filled with inflated prices like $360 to "modify" the drain line ie cut and glue PVC pipe together. At this point I become suspicious and convinced it's not worth investing $2800 into an old system. I call ASI and two other companies to investigate and quote me for full replacement of the system. All three companies confirm that the quote from AerifySanDiego is BS. I cash out with my insurance and select a contractor to install a new unit. When the contractor arrives to do the job he finds that the same valve AerifySanDiego installed and fixed is still leaking. AerifySanDiego was payed by me and American Home Shield to fix this problem. They were too incompetent to execute the repair! The manager was defensive and unwilling to refund me any portion of my wasted $1000. I would not recommend anyone ever use this company. Very VERY shady business practices and terrible customer service! read more

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from their office staff (apparently only one person, ANDREA) !!! We were assigned Aerify by our home warrranty company to repair our furnace . On NOV 4th their technician Ismael showed up as scheduled. Of course our furnace was not acting up as badly as it had been but he thoroughly checked it and did have a guess of what might be the problem. In the next couple of days it got worst and another appointment was scheduled for the 14th. Ismael came over again, dignosed the problem & said he'd need to order a part. The next day it stopped working at all. I called Aerify and left a message to infom the technician. After a week or so I called again to check the status and left a message. So starts the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It is now DEC 9TH AND WE STILL HAVE A BROKEN FURNACE. AT NO TIME FROM NOV 14TH UNTIL NOV 30th after leaving 8 messages did I ever get a call back! ONLY ONE TIME did Andrea answer & said she would call me back in the afternoon with an update BUT NEVER DID CALL ME BACK!!! After this going on for weeks I had to get the home warranty company involved. NO LIE ...over the course of the next week I was on HOLD FOR MORE THAN A TOTAL OF 3 HOURS while AHS tried to either get Aerify to answer their call or give them a status update! I can't imagine how this company stays in business when they don't answer their phone & how Andrea can keep her job when she can't make a call back within 2 weeks! When AHS finally got a hold of her DEC 3rd she said they THINK they have a part that will work but that we have a gas line that will need to be changed & they'd do the work for $250. WHAT?? THE GALL to pull that one out of their ***! Is that some kind of blackmail to get them to finish the job?? Finally Amer Home Shield assigned us another furnace repair company. Andrea called to schedule us an appointment NOW after we've been reassigned to another company. She did not offer an appology for not EVER calling me back & said nothing of the gas pipe & extra charge. Although it has been some cold nights in El Cajon that have not been arthritis friendly I would rather deal with dragging an elictric heater around with us from room to room than being at the mercy of this poorly run company!! read more

This company is a joke. We were assigned them through our home Warrenty company for a broken heater last Friday. They say they are open 24/7 but it took them 48 hours to finally call back to schedule an appointment for 2 days later. They come on Tuesday, stay for 10 minutes then say this is work they can't do and that we need an electrician. Ok, fine, no big deal. The technician was suppose to send a report back to the home Warrenty company so they can send out an electrician. After not hearing anything for 2 more days. I call on Thursday to find out the receptionist says she doesn't have the report yet and will call back in an hour with an update. 2 more days go by and no response. Keep in mind they never answer their phones. So, I call our home warrenty company today to find out what is going on as we have been without heat for over a week now. They can't get in contact with the company and a report still hasn't even sent. This is absolutely unacceptable. BEWARE! read more

Aerify responded very quickly to our request for service through our home warranty company. We were definitely nervous about response time, with a central air system that just stopped working with us within 48 hours of us leaving town for 10 days of vacation. Aerify was able to get us scheduled for the first appt the next day (today). Aaron arrived early this morning and within minutes had our outside compressor functioning again. He also recharged the R-22 which was a bit low. The other AC unit had been recently assessed as part of home inspection and had been reported with low R-22, so he topped that one off as well. I'm one relieved homeowner to be leaving town with a system that will keep my house from getting hot and potentially moldy while we're gone. Thanks Aerify/Aaron! read more

I have an old AC unit in an old La Mesa house. I called my home warranty company to have it serviced. They referred me to Aerify. Aaron came out on Saturday afternoon (a blazing hot day.) I have no doubt he was already exhausted from working in that heat all day, but he was very polite and professional. He discovered both that my unit was low on coolant and that my vent was missing a filter. Fixing both of these issues has helped my old unit run about as well as it can. But, even more importantly, while Aaron was under the house checking out my vents (the unit runs under the house and the vents are in the floor) he noticed a pipe leaking. He took a video of it to show me. Because he spotted this, I was able to get a plumber out to my house to fix the leak right away before it became a disaster. The leaking pipe was the pressurized water supply line to the toilet. The leak would have continued to increase until the pressure blew the pipe had Aaron not spotted it. I can't thank him enough for spotting the leak and notifying me. We also chatted about the possibility of installing a new HVAC system in my house and what the ballpark price would be to give me some ideas on cost. His visit was pleasant from start to finish and I would be happy to have him service my AC again. In addition, the receptionist I spoke with a number of times, Sarah, was very polite and a pleasure to speak with. read more

Would have given 0 stars if possible. The technician sent was unable to read an electrical diagram and refused to look at the manuals supplied by the manufacture of the air conditioner. Still have a malfunctioning unit. He did not reassemble the covers of the unit correctly. He failed to leave any paperwork regarding the visit. Tried to call the company and got an answering machine, so I left a message. No response... Avoid at all costs. Update 9/20/17: It has been 3 working days (5 in total) since their "service" call and they still have not returned my call. They could not be bothered to see what was reassemble incorrectly and if I was able to correct it myself (no worries I was able to). I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and called the technical service support line of the manufacture. After giving them the make, model, and serial number of my unit they confirmed that my unit does in fact have the 2 sensors shown in the electrical diagram and that the symptoms my unit is experiencing is explained by a bad or failing sensor (one or both). These are the two sensors that the Aerify "service technician" said my unit does not have and that I had no idea what I was talking about. What really made me angry was when the manufacture told me that testing these two sensors was simple and only required a multimeter and unplugging a single connector. The manufacturer was able to give me the name of a qualified service provider here in San Diego and even offered to contact them for me. Now that is service! What Aerify fails to realize is that I just wanted my AC fixed. I do not care about the home warrantee (if it covered the repair cost I saw that as a bonus) and was willing to pay out of my own pocket to get it fixed if needed. In the end it looks like they were more interested in servicing the insurance instead of me. Update 10/24/17: Well it looks like Aerify has sunk to a new low. I just got a bill for $75. So much for their comment to my review of not being charged for their "service" call. read more

The only positive feedback I have to provide for Aerify is that the techs were nice. Every other aspect of my experience tops the worst customer experience I have ever received, especially with the useless, incompetent and unprofessional lady who handles the scheduling. We originally got in touch with this company through Home Shield. On the first visit, the tech said our thermostat was wired wrong so he rewired it. It worked for a few days then stopped working again. This time, my husband took 3 hours off of work to wait for the techs. This time, the solve was to replace the thermostat. Again, it worked for a few days and then stopped working. I called on a Sunday and I sent an email and nobody bothered to call me back even knowing that I have a disabled son that is very sensitive to heat and cold. Finally I attempt to call again 2 days later and the female that I referred to earlier never apologized for not returning my call. Basically the only option she gave me did not work for my schedule. I asked that she accommodate me since this was their error and reminded her that my husband and I had already taken time off work twice to deal with this issue and now we are going on 3 weeks without AC or heat. A good business decision would have been to say "let me see what I can do to fit you in as soon as possible in the evening this week." Instead, she had the audacity to say she already made an exception to fit me in after the first time they couldn't fix it! Excuse me? An exception? I had to take another 3 hours off to deal with this because it wasn't fixed right the first time. Then she told me there was nothing she could do and that I had to go back to my home warranty company to request a recall (not exactly sure what term she used). Essentially, she didn't want to take ownership of the problem and decided it was easier to have me work with Home Shield. Needless to say I had A+ Heating and Air out. Within 5 minutes he was able to figure out the problem had nothing to do with the thermostat but rather a sensor that was dirty and needed to be adjusted.
