Played several games about deductibles, (I am assuming the location need money), and not accepting Blue Shield Insurance (with the card) and me paying the deductible reason. Spencer told me my granddaughter could not receive service with her current Blue Shield card because I told him she also has Medicaid and did not have the Medicaid card--absolutely a falsehood. I agreed to pay the deductible. I just want my granddaughter to be seen. He refused to use the Blue Shield insurance with me paying the deductible and told me that I would have to reschedule. I will alert Medicaid and Blue Shield that Core Life is not honoring these insurances. I will also inform anyone else that Medicare and Blue Shield insurance are not welcome at the Matthew location. It gets better. My daughter called to find out what happened and why her daughter was rescheduled for her appointment. Spencer, (if this, in fact is his name) told my daughter over the phone that I raised my voice, also told my granddaughter to "sit down and shut up," and did not want to pay the deductible. But claimed the reason for rescheduling was because we did not have a Medicaid card. The appointment was for 4:40 pm, and I arrived at 3:45 pm. We left the office at 4:20 pm. So, we had enough time to get my daughter to fax a copy of the card over. I asked Spencer for the fax number. Spencer, insisted on rescheduling the appointment because according to Spencer we did not have the Medicaid card. Spence claimed legal ramifications would exist if Spencer used Blue Shield insurance without a Medicaid insurance card. Totally juvenile and outrages behavior I am very concerned about Spencer's understanding of insurance policies, regulation, confidentiality, fitness, and wellness: "Spencer relating what can be considered confidential information to another party, maybe Hippa. The office manager's game playing and attempted emotional abuse, intimidation to exert control. End result my granddaughter who innocently went to Core Life office in Matthews, NC left the office in tears. "Spencer" is not the person for the office manager job or anything to do with customer service. "Spencer's behavior was scandalous and shameful, "Spencer, the man at the office desk, said around 3:45 pm on Wed. December 6, 2023, is an unhealthy and a liar. My problem is that I questioned the co-pay and Spencer's ability to pull up the insurance information from Novant Office records.
