I bought a vehicle from this place and it's turned out to be a nightmare. First they don't clean the vehicles. They put them on the lot right from the auction. I traveled 3 hours to pick up the vehicle and it was filthy, no fuel and I could not get it to come out of park. The owner got it to unlock and made some excuse about a sensor being hit with someone's foot. He made mistakes on the paperwork also and I still can't get it registered. I broke down 2 weeks later. $650 for a new alternator. Then 2 months later I am back at the repair shop. This time it's $1000 for 2 sensors because they put the wrong oil filter in when they changed the oil! Do NOT buy from this.place! Their motto of selling affordable dependable vehicles is a joke. So I want to start out by saying and I qoute the sales person "not to be a dick" but the service was horrible we had just sold our Yukon and needed another car that was more efficient on gas then the one we got. So we found a Subaru that we liked and went to check it out, after about an hour of me looking at what they had on a legacy that needed some body work and my wife and I decide that it would be fine as long as it was reliable, since we go to school and have a 4 month old child. Anyways we went in to talk they had a sign that said cash talks and that's what I brought so the legacy was 2500 bucks and I offered 2200 it was turn down, so I then offer 2400 out the door and he comes back with sorry I'm not trying to be a dick but the owner I guess had enough of my offers and told his son aka sales men who plays off as just an employee tells me his dad said raise the price since I offered the 2500. (If the owner reads this; this is not how you treat customers!!!!!) Since we couldn't get the car we wanted they take us and show us a car that they would take 2200 out the door which was a 2005 outback. Wasent to happy with it but as long as it was reliable. Well it was purchased from the auction not to long ago and in Idaho the dealers do there own state inspection if the car was in the accident well that's a f**king mistake. Not only did they not really go over the whole car to make sure it was road Worthy especially with a infant that will be riding in it but caring about another persons life. Anyways for 2200 bucks I got a car that needs excatly 2200 dollars in repairs not including the driver side door replacement because little did I know we where driving to Spokane for school and I noticed that the close door light was on for the driver side so I quickly open the door while driving and close it to bounce back open and it get taged by another car. Come to find out the door lock acutator that keeps your door closed had I'm assuming one screw in there because there was no screws in it so I want to say thanks for making sure your letting safe cars leave your lot besides the fact that it needs complete break job all around and 2 new CV axles and a whole bunch of other stuff head gaskets and heater core all needs to be done...... Long story short they need to have there inspection license removed they are not capable of public safty. And there staff down right rude all they care about is your money not you or your family. Not only did they repossess my vehicle but when I called Michelle to ask her how much it would be to retrieve my car, she informed me that they were revoking the loan and that I needed to pay them the remaining balance due within 10 days or I forfeit the vehicle. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. I did not go into buying a used car blind. My boyfriend and I spent a lot of time looking, driving and re looking at the vehicle. No drips, sounded great. 4 days after purchase, oil begins to leak. Take to a mechanic and find that it needs 1600-2000 dollars worth of work for gasket leaks. Funny thing is, I am told they are not new leaks (as all the gaskets would not begin leaking at one time), but the under carriage was clean as a whistle at the time of purchase. I realize you buy a car as is, but I would think that integrity would come into to play at some point. The only response I received from Steve was "Car is sold as is, have a nice day". This car lot is the LAST place to ever consider buying a vehicle from. They will lie to you from beginning to end and rip you off for thousands of dollars. Then when you leave their lot and your vehicle breaks down on your way home, leaving you stranded on the road side, they will do NOTHING to help fix the problem, AT ALL. They will laugh at you and tell you to Google the issue and fix it yourself. The $5600.00 vehicle in question was filled with their additives to hide any issues long enough to drive off their lot. The damage they unloaded requires a complete overhaul of engine. Price quoted to fix is in the thousands, close to price paid for vehicle. (they also would not come down on the original price when bought, saying it was worth much much more because of its excellent running condition, that they had just gotten it in and already had two other people wanting to buy it. They even had another salesman from another car lot there to chime in and back up what they were saying) This car lot and the ones who own it are a disgrace to humanity and whats wrong or right in how you treat other people. And the ones who lay down their hard earned money in trust to them. How can these immoral people sleep at night or look themselves in the mirror, in knowing how they're treating others? Others who cannot afford to fix the vehicle they just bought from Affordable Auto.
