Affordable Gate Company came, took measurements without me needing to be present, exa couple text messages to recommend a good gate option, and then a few days later while I was at work they removed the old gate and hinges, and installed a perfectly balanced, high quality new gate on my home. One of the simplest, best interactions I've had with a vendor during my remodel, and I've been extremely pleased with the result even two years later... my neighbors liked the gate so much they copied it too :) Icing on the cake was that the latch on the gate was starting to be finicky to open as the summer heat hit this year, and these folks came out and did a free adjustment. I never heard back from this company via the "Request a Quote" Option. When I called them, they really weren't very forthcoming with information or pricing. After several minutes I finally got a ballpark figure that was twice the cost of other bids. I also know someone who had the exact same repair/replacement done, and it cost them $300.00 less than they quoted me. When I mentioned this they told me, "good luck in finding anyone else who can find a supply of composite wood, for you, because we're the largest client the manufacturer of the composite slats has in Arizona." read more

Affordable Gate installed an RV gate for me in 2013. In December 2020, the block wall the gate is attached to started separating and the gate was unusable. I called to ask if they could help and they referred me to the person they used for block wall repairs. He came and proceeded to cut the rebar the blocks were attached to. After he was finished with the wall we noticed the sleeve for the gate pin was crushed. When I asked him to repair it he said he didn't do it. I called Affordable Gate back to see if they could help and the owner's wife said "I'm not sure how we are even involved in this." I told her they gave me the referral and I figured they trusted their repair recommendation. Now I can't lock my gate and I have to call a different company to come and repair it. Affordable Gate might have been decent in years past but it looks like they are not dedicated to customer as they once were. read more

Received a quote for a specific amount and when it was time to proceed with the job Marsha stated she made a mistake and will not honor her quote. A quote that you agreed to would constitute a contract and would be legally binding, whether given in writing or verbally. ... "As long as an offer and acceptance is made or implied then any breach of contract can be legally disputed." They can and will be liable for their "mistake". Numbers don't lie but liars do figure. Shady business and be cautious. read more

I had been searching on & off over the last few months for a new gate, to replace my old one. Did some calling around and was ready to give up after getting ridiculous/overpriced bids and/or dealing with people that were no-shows for estimates. I was at the Mesa Swap Meet a few weeks ago and stumbled upon Affordable Gate Co's booth. I was able to look at several displays right then and there. Took a business card and called them that following Monday. The owner, Don, was very personable yet professional and made arrangements to come out to my house to get measurements, etc. right away. All within a week, the measurements were done and the gate was installed! The quality of the gate exceeds expectations, the appearance? BEAUTIFUL! and the price can't be beat! I must also add that the installers that came out were very personable & professional as well, and they were in & outta there within 30 minutes!
